Based on history, full 2025 room and package reservations should definitely be out. Any ideas why they're holding back November and December? I don't get why they'd do this. My research shows they haven't done a "partial" year release in at least five years.

Thanks for asking this! I'm (impatiently) waiting to book our after Thanksgiving 2025 trip.

I even called and talked to a very wonderful Cast Member (Patsy) who said she wasn't sure why they weren't out yet, but keep checking back.

I'm curious if they're waiting to release the new Polynesian rooms. I know they're DVC but that's the only hold up I can think of.

Just wanted to give everybody following an update: I did the chat on the WDW website and was told that "possibly by the end of this month" the booking window might be open for Nov-Dec. 2025. I know it's not positive/concrete info but at least we might kind of have a ballpark idea.

I'll probably keep checking the Disney World website every day, just in case it opens early :-)

Wondering though what the reasoning for this is? Somethings seems odd, since this isn't the norm, correct?

If I had to bet - it has something to do Epic Universe and trying to predict if it will +/- WDW demand.

Nov/Dec are big money season for WDW. The game they play with those months’ rack rates is making them high then adding strong discounts on the rooms that won’t fill enough at those high prices. This way they get the high spenders and get the people drawn to the idea of deep discounts. Maximize spending across demographics.

Right now it’s a bit hard threading the needle between prices too high turning people off and not being competitive enough with Epic, or Epic causes high WDW demand in that big spender season - they don’t want to cut themselves short. It’s not easy to forecast 15/16 months out, between UO and the economy. It’s a very crucial period though. They need to get it right.

There was fear Harry Potter would hurt WDW but it actually increased interest in Orlando and WDW. Will Epic do the same? Or will it lower demand at WDW? The economy is another wildcard.

Yeah, I wish I knew but it’s above my pay grade! LOL

My mom and I take a mother/daughter trip every 2 years and this time, my cousins want to bring their daughters and meet us at WDW. So I want to make sure we can all get rooms at Port Orleans Riverside when the booking opens up.

Guess I’ll keep impatiently waiting and building up our Disney gift card savings for when it’s time to book!

They haven’t been shy about saying bookings for the next couple quarters are slowing. I think it’s less about Epic and more gauging the prices the market will bear next holiday season by seeing how their current promos work out- especially the book by 8/28 AP promo for Dec for the extra 5% off.

My DM and I loved our WDW trips, too. Our last trip was in 2019. Unfortunately, she passed away a couple of months ago. But, while she was still with us, she made me promise that I would take another trip. I think the next couple of Christmases will be a little hard to bear at home. So, I am waiting for December 2025 to open up. Humming Pooh hums and twiddling thumbs can only take you so far!
:santa:

I broke down and emailed touring plans. They checked with their travel agents and literally no one has any idea. One travel agent invoked the "500 days" window they used to use but then realized we are well within that window. So the confusion persists! Hang in there, friends lol

It’s 5 quarters away. Not this holiday season but the next one. Will soft bookings continue or will Epic Universe be such a hit it attracts large numbers to Orlando. It could swing harder than normal in either direction. It’s a trickier call than usual.

I do the online chat every day to see what each different rep will tell me. One person told me that he was for sure I could book in December 2024 for December 2025 😦 I'm guessing it will be sooner than that! I checked the rate calendar for hotel rooms at Port Orleans Riverside and I can see room rates through Nov. 30, 2025, so I know how much the first day of our trip will be for the room. I'm using that rate as an estimate for our total trip, since it extends into December.

I'm still going to impatiently wait...and check the WDW website every day!

Happy waiting everybody! LOL

Not pertinent to the discussions, but what kind of job/career would it be to the be the one to figure this out? Cuz that is the career I want - I love that kind of strategic thinking, etc.

We are impatiently waiting as well. I really wish they would go ahead and let us know so we can finalize a resort decision! I hope they aren't waiting on the Poly tower. December is cutting it close when DVC booking for December will open in Jan. I want some advanced time to make the decision between direct form Disney or DVC. I am thinking the PP is correct about Disney hedging their bets to see how the Universal expansion plays out. Side note- Universal already has rates out for these dates.

I looked at the room rate calendar that comes up and Port Orleans Riverside & French Quarter have rates showing for November 2025 but I still can't book a trip with a check-in date in November 2025. So I can kind of guess on our budget for the rooms but would still like to go ahead and get it booked!
