The "I gotta do something to pass the time"pre-trip report

Yeah, major dizziness, but no earache, and she looked in my ears and said nothing was wrong. i hope it is under control soon, too, i've got a vacation to enjoy!!!

I want to go back to bed this morning and hide under the bed covers.

We get snow and freezing rain yesterday and all night. So this morning it is a mess. Now at 7:00am we are getting round 3 and it is a sheet of ice on the roads. Can you say ice skating.

We have so many trees and power lines that are being downed due to the freezing rain weighing them down. It looks like icicles hanging down from everything.

I probably won't be able to get into work again today,and I don't like that as good as it sounds it is hard to take off with my patients needing to be seen.


I know you all have heard me say it so many times before so I promise I won't sayI HATE SNOW AND , COLD WEATHER NOT TO MENTION FREEZING RAIN.

We just heard on the news that some surrounding areas are even getting thunder along with this winter storms. What the heck????????

Please.......someone send me some sunshine

I hope youe feeling better! I'm sure your all socked with snow and ice with this stupid storm!! We ended up with on a little snow, not too much. I'm glad I don't have anyplace to go today though!

We are snowed in. as of 11:30am we have 8 inches of snow over a layer of ice from last night.
We are at a level 2 snow emergency (drive only if neccessary)
The area my son works in is at a level 3 (against the law to drive and will be ticketed) thank goodness he didn't try and drive today. They say it is the first time that they were able at a level 3.

I have an inch of ice coating my car and can't get into it.

I am sitting on the couch and watching the movie No Reservations.
After I just might put in a Disney movie just to remind me of the nice warm weather in Florida.

Our weather isn't any better today.
The roads are black ice this morning.
I am sitting here nervously waiting for my son to get to work safely....he just called and said traffic is at a stand still due to an overturned semi.

I am going to go to work myself but I am only a mile away from todays patients.

We are all home safe and sound.
It took my son 3 1/2 hours to get to work and it usually only takes him an hour.

We are suppose to get another 1-2 inches of snow tonight.

Yuck. i'm glad you all made it to work and back safely. It's been snowing here today but just gently - enough to really screw up the traffic though!

Sounds loike a great trip.

we were let down by MVMCP, it was sold out that night and crowded.

BTW....I loved your Enchanted pictures and reports I didn't even know about that site so it is so intersesting..I will have to come home from work and finish reading all of your posts.

After another restless night we made it to the eye institute and our son had his lasix eye surgery. It went well.
The weather was better today, lets hope it stays that way.


Now for the GREAT news.........It took 32 years for me to convince DH to agree.



I booked our cruise last night also our flight and the hotel ressie for the night before the cruise.

Here is our plans....booked a cruise on Carnival Western Caribbean for October 18-25th
Arriving in Tampa(the cruise port) the night before and staying at The Holiday Inn Express Hotel/Suites in Tampa.
Flying out of CVG on Delta using my companion flies free voucher
Planning our Excursions is all we have left to plan.


This will keep me busy for a couple of months.


But I have a secret...ssshhhh don't tell my DH sssshhhhhhh

I am also looking to do Disney again this year maybe for just a 4-5 night stay and only if they have a really nice special just waiting for one to pop up

You know either before October so I can keep my mind off our cruise or one after October so I can rest up from our cruise...these sound like legit reasons ...right or maybe one right smack in the middle

I started it back in June and moved to where it is on October 30th. Slowly is growing.

I never in a million years thought my DH would ever give in and go on a cruise this is a man who doesn't know how to swim and has a little fear of deep water at a pool.
All I can say is "I love that man"

As for your DH don't give up.
After all we have our ways of changing their minds


We will both be on a look out for a special magical deal that both our DH's we appreciate.

Just got the house back to what it looked like before the Superbowl.
We have so much junk food left over.
