i'm getting pretty sick of it, too, i have to admit. Too bad when we come back from WDW it will still only be the middle of February, with weeks and weeks of cold and snow still to come

I HATE SNOW.......I HATE COLD WEATHER.....

I WANT TO GO BACK TO DISNEY


It seems as if most of the year goes by really quick but when it comes to the winter months the creep ever so slowly.

That depends on who wants to snuggle/spoon with me in those tiny beds

My little patients are doing okay for now but that can change without a moments notice...But hey as much as I HATE the snow and cold ....I LOVE my job.

LAST DAY >>>MONDAY>>DECEMBER 15thLAST DAY [/SIZE][/FONT]



We got up and finished packing the last minute stuff into our suitcases..Thank goodness I saved enough room in our suitcase for the souvies we had bought.
We went to the lobby to check out( even though we checked out they told us we could keep the room till 1:00pm) and to check in our luggage so they could take it for us to the airport(remember this is suppose to be the easy way and a perk of Disney's to help..and since we weren't leaving till late we thought this was great not to have to worry about the suitcases)
We checked out of our resort no problem ...but checking in our luggage to go tothe airport was a mess they kept trying but was being denied by Delta and wouldn't tell us why????
So we had to check the luggage in with the resort bellhops and they were wonderful...But Delta never did explain to us why ???
After doing all this we decide to eat breakfast at the food court we both shared the breakfast platter and then I wanted to walk over to All Star Sports and All Star Music Resorts to check them out.
Then we caught a bus over to AK and walked around a little then headed back to the resort went to our room to get our carry on suitcases...I had taken down my Christmas cling decorations (Winnie the Pooh and Mickey and Friends)that I had decorated the window with I didn't want to throw them away so I told DH I was going to try and find a child to give them to. We gathered our stuff and went tothe lobby and found the cutest well behaved little boy around 5 years old and I asked the mother first if we could spread the magic and give them to him to decorate their wndow ....the mother and father both thanked us but the little boy was so excited about getting them he hugged me. I also had some glow necklaces left and gave those out to other kids plus we gave our little buddy one.
This will be a tradition for us every time we go loved seeing their faces when we gave them little surprises.
We stillhad time before our DM bus to take us to the airport so we sat out by the pool and talked about coming back soon..or a possible trip with a cruise thrown in.
It is now 3:15pm time to load our dragging behind onto to bus and leave the most magical place on earth.
At the airport we check in our luggage which again we had trouble doing the security line was so long we didn't know if we'd get through it on time and just barely did. It took us 45 mionutes to get up to the scanners ....and of course I have to be hand checked I can not go throught he scanners as they will de-magnitize my unit and I got a new trainee (go figure) she was so sweet but slow. We made it to our plane with 10 minutes to spare.
We had heard that there was a winter storm watch out for Ohio so we really didn't want to go home.
We land and what do we see snow and if you don't knowI HATE SNOW but it had rained earlier and had turned to ice so it made for bad driving conditions.
Flight home was 2 hours 15 minutes. Was home and walking in our door by 10:30pm.

Even though we were happy to be home we missed Disney World.

Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us, Vickey!!! i am so glad you got to go back and so glad that your plans to go back brought you here to the DIS and that i had the chance to talk to you.

i hope some sun and warmer weather comes your way very soon!

Even though my trip report is finale, my expereince isn't. And my celebration is just beginnning.

Just a reminder that this trip was a celebration of my 5 year mark from cancer, my DH took me to Disney 5 years ago 6 weeks after my surgery to give me a gift that he knew I'd always wanted to do and that was to see Disney at Christmas time. And with that a promise that we'd go back to celebrate my 5 year mark.
I can say this time around not only did I make it but that I plan on spending many more celebrations at Disney in the years to follow.

So with that said I want to THANK God,my DH and all of my Dis'er friends for making this a very rememberable celebration trip.

Awww Vickey!! I'm sad it's over!!! I'm so glad you got to celebrate such a joyous occasion!!!!! It seems like you and DH had a wonderful time, aside from a few bumps in the road! I hope you get to spent tons more time at Disney celebrating life and love!!!

I wish I was making plans for another Disney vacation....but I will have to settle for making plans for a cruise.
I think we have decided on taking a Carnival Western Caribbean Cruise for our first cruise we found some good deals....we are still waiting on his work to grant us our first choice vacation time..Oct. 18th. DH, and my cousin and her DH want to do the islands that are offered on Carnival and they want it to be more of an adult cruise that the one that Disney has to offer.
I have been surfing the cruise forums and gathering as much info as possible I have to admit that it is not as fun as it is surfing this forum and they aren't as friendly.
But I am learning alot about cruising didn't know it could be so confusing.


I wish our weather would decide what season it is...darn this global warning.... Thursday our weather was in the low 30's ....Friday weather got up to the mid 50's and today it is COLD again back down in the 30's. I will be lucky not to get sick with all the changes.

I went to our newly opened YMCA ( it is a high end deluxe one)and signed up for a 3 month package for DH, DS and myself. They are having open house and the joining fees were waived. We have belonged to the Y before but let other things get in our way of going. But ALL 3 of us need their services.
I really need the heated therapy pool my banged up knee that never really healed correctly after m big fall and my fibromyalgia is really bad right now due to the weather. Also the steroids/cancer drugs have helped put weight on me that needs to come off. I will have to adjust my time to fit in time to go.
Hey do you think if I put Disney music on my Zune and close my eyes I can ride the excercise equipement and imagine it is the rides at Disney.
And I could always put on my Mickey ears andwear my Disney shirts to get into the mood.


Well I'm going to call it a night so good night for now.

A cruise sounds wonderful, too, though. i already know i won't be going back to Disney for a long, long, LONG time, and even any kind of trip next year is unlikely, so i'll have to live vicariously through your cruise plans!

I think a cruise sounds fabulous, even if it's not a Disney cruise!!! I'd love to go on a cruise, but DH won't go. No way, no how! DD keeps asking! LOL!! Little diva! I told her maybe we'd take Grandma on a cruise instead!

Hey you and DD can meet us in Tampa,Florida and hop onto the ship with us in October.
It took me 32 years to get DH to agree and I still don't believe he is agreeing with it.. Until we are booked and on the ship will I believe it.

Our weather has again taken a turn for the worse we have a winter snow watch coming in for tonight. And it is getting colder out, We got an inch of snow yesterday and the possibities of 4-5 more inches tonight.

I HATE SNOW AND THE COLD WEATHER

My day is not going that well, fibro is acting up (level 10) and I smashed my finger(the naughty one) on my left hand I heard it crack so I know I broke it at the first bend. It has swollen to 3x's the size and it is hot to touch and throbbing.

I can't wait to get into the therapy pool at the Y. They also have a spin class for beginners who can't peddle fast.....that's ME.

Gotta go put my finger in ice.

Oh Vickey... i'm sorry your day was sucky. Take care of that finger!!! You should be seeing the doctor and getting a splint or something.

I splinted it my self last night but the swelling was to bad to get it in a fixed postion so I will re-splint it this morning. It is still swollen but not as bad. But it still hurts like ****. Since it is the naughty finger it looks funny with it splinted up and sticking straight up hope no one thinks it is intended for them

We woke up to 4 inches of fresh snow and a city snow level warning for most of the areas, which means unless you have to travel to work ...DON'T.
My son works in another city about 25 miles away and they issued a level 1 snow emerency for that city.
We are expected to get a total of 8-10 inches withit turning to sleet and ice by evening. I hope the snow fairy comes by and shovels my driveway.

I am sitting here trying to decide if I want to even try getting out to go to work or stay home in a nice warm house snuggled up on the couch.

I envy all those that are in Disney World tight now.

YUCK. Sounds pretty nasty, i really hope you decided to stay home! It is quite nice here really, nice and sunny only -12C outside. i can live with that, it's far preferable to the -22C it's been off and on for a couple of weeks (even a couple days of -32C!).

i do have to go out today though - i am finally giving in and going to the Dr. If nothing else i need a note for work! i hate to be missing time before my vacation, it seems so rude, especially because we are really busy right now, but i am just too sick to go to work and there's not much i can do about it! i'm currently sleeping about 18 hours a day! i hope it's not mono....

Poor baby I wish I could be there for you and nurse you back to health before your trip.

Let me know what the doctor says hope he can rule out mono. It sounds as if you have a touch of the flu that was going around here a couple weeks ago.

I did take the day off since you basically can't get out of my driveway and the streets are covered in snow and besides it is COLD outside.

We are suppose to get two more rounds of this winter storm in the next couple days.

Nope, not mono. For now she's just calling it "vertigo" and has written me a note to stay home from work for the rest of my work week (which is today and tomorrow). i then go back on Thursday for some more tests and to see the consulting physician. my blood sugar and blood pressure are fine, heart is a little fast.

i just hate to be missing work right before my vacation!
