The *I got ENGAGED in Disney!* Trip Report-Update 6/27 Evening in MK

Now you need to plan a Disney wedding and come over to the wedding boards!!!!! Congrats on your engagement!!!!!:wizard:

You have no idea how much I would love this! Unfortunately though, it looks like a hometown wedding for me (BIG family and I want them all there....so a destination wedding isn't really feasible :( ) We actually just booked our venue in my hometown for August 14th, 2010! I'm gonna try to convince DF that a Disneymoon is the way to go though...although he wants to do something different for that too.:sad2: If nothing else, we are FOR SURE going back for our first wedding anniversary...by then it will have been two years, and I KNOW I'll be itching to go back.

Grrr...I started this installment, got really far, and my computer completely froze up and I lost everything! That will teach me to back up! Ok, I'll try one more time....haha....

So, where I last left you, Matt and I were swimming in the Dig Site pool debating about where to go that evening. We were both kinda feeling the MK (partly because we cut our night short there the night prior), but "the plan" had us going to Downtown Disney. Now, I know I'm like a lot of you when I say I'm a big Disney Planner, and its hard for me to steer away from the plan I crafted. However, that night The Magic Kingdom was calling our names, so thats where we decided to go.

After our long-ish afternoon swim/break, we made our way back to our room to get ready for the evening. Because we have both eaten CS in the Magic Kingdom a lot, we decided we wanted to try something new and eat dinner at the Pepper Market before heading out. So, after showering and getting refreshed and ready, we headed over to El Centro and the Pepper Market. Here are some pics of the lovely CSR that I took on the way:

Sigh...I just love Coronado Springs! Looking at these pictures, it's making me wish I was back right now! Seriously, its a great Moderate!:thumbsup2

At the Pepper Market, we both ordered the Chicken Fajitas. I'm pretty sure Matt got a muffin and I got Strawberry Shortcake for our desert options.

Food Porn! I think the total for our meal was over $40 dollars, so we were both very, very happy to be on the Dining Plan. Seriously, this place is a GREAT CS deal for Dining Plan guests. However, if we weren't on the DP, we probably would totally avoid the place as it is way over priced. That being said, we both loved the Pepper Market! It was very tasty, and was a great deal for us, so we actually found ourselves eating here a couple more times throughout the week.

After dinner, we hoped on a bus to the Magic Kingdom! :woohoo: I'm fairly certain this bus came right away, and at this point, we both commented what great luck we were having with buses so far!:thumbsup2

The MK was having EMH that night, so we went in knowing it might be a little busier than normal, but we didn't care, we wanted our MK fix!!! When we got to the Magic Kingdom, we were both actually pleasantly surprised though, and thought it was actually less crowded than the night prior.

First,we went straight to a photopass CM for some castle pics. Matt was kind of grumbly that he couldn't get this view for our proposal, but I didn't care! I loved the proposal anyway!

Once again, the photopass CM was great! He congratulated us over and over again about our engagement and took a TON of pictures. Here are a few that he took:

I love this one!

So, after our pictures, we decided to head straight to Splash to get a Fast Pass. Now, remember this is both of our favorite ride, and when we road it the night prior, we were a little distracted to say the least, and were barely paying attention the the storyline and theming. Off to Frontierland we went!

We grabbed a FP, and after a small debate about what to do next, we went into Fantasyland and hopped right into the show room for Mickey's Philharmagic, by far THE BEST 3D/4D show Disney has to offer! We both love this movie! Gotta love the apple pie smell! Looking around, Peter Pan had a huuuuuuge line, and FP's were out! Yikes!:scared1:

At this point, we could actually use our Splash fastpasses, so we went back into Frontierland, grabbed a FP for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad because we had neglected to ride this one the night before.

Splash Mountain was fun as always, and this time we made a point to actually pay attention to the ride.:lmao:

Big Thunder was next, and we were able to hop right on. I made a note in my journal that we waited kind of a long time considering we were using Fast Passes, but I don't actually remember waiting too long. We were next to a couple in line that were asking us all kinds of questions about when/where we were going to get married...haha! I loved these questions, but seriously, at that point we had been engaged for about twenty four hours, so we didn't know how to answer a lot of the question.:rotfl2:

After Big Thunder Mountain, we realized that Wishes was about to start (I'm pretty sure Wishes was at 9pm this evening). The night was going so fast! Wishes was a total must for us, since we missed yesterday. We decided to head towards Mainstreet to get a good view, but first we stopped at Aloha Isles to get a Dole Whip Float that I heard so much about from the DIS. We got one to split, and it was very yummy!! So refreshing! We never got one during the heat of the day, but I imagine they would be very good then.

So, we found a spot to watch Wishes, ate our float, and enjoyed the show! I did take some pictures of the Castle at night and Wishes, but none of them really turned out that well, so I won't even bother posting.

Afterwards, we debated about whether to stay, but both of us were starting to crash and burn. Reading over this, we really didn't do too much in the MK that night, but it had been a loooong couple days on very little sleep, and our comfy bed at CSR was calling our name.

After a quick bus ride back, we chilled in the room a little and watched part of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on TV. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, by the way. I actually have never been to Universal, and never have felt the need to go, but once they open Harry Potter Land, I think I'll have to make a visit! I'm sure we'll spend a couple days there on our next WDW just for Harry Potter if nothing else.;) Off to bed we went with another early wake up call for Epcot waiting for us...

In the next installment, Epcot, and the *best* Disney Magic we got the whole trip at Le Cellier!:wizard:

Loving the photo pass pictures--they are great! And your review is terrific too. I am so happy you loved CSR!

Congrats again on the Engagement! Yay!!!

Looks like the first 2 days in Disney were great ones....as a Star Wars fan, I'm jealous about you two getting to go to a SWW day.

Your chicken fajitas look good, but 40 dollars?! That is expensive. I am glad you were on the dining plan. The resort looks beautiful.
