The I am a pirate/fireman, I am not a hijacker thread, all about nothing in general

Travel Mum - I'm right there with you, just got back from Japan, and we had an amazing time, but for some reason I started discussing the epcot food and wine festival with my parents the other day... I think they want to go now, and we just feed off each others yearning to go :rolleyes1

:lmao:

Good news - it was a little old man who hit my car, and he was a bit flustered, which describes the illegible licence number. He went into the police station after I had made my report and told them what happened. Now I've asked DH to deal with it. Chances are if he doesn't have insurance we'll just cover it ourselves. Now that I know someone has owned up to it I'm not too concerned, if I had to track them down myself I'd crucify them over it :rotfl:

I like nice people :flower3:

That's a good outcome :)

I've had my car hit twice by dead*hits in two different shopping centres and neither of them left a note or anything :sad2:
Brand new car when I got it, smashed twice and not by me :headache:

So, DS6 tells me "I'm going to get really cross if I don't get my two weeks pocket money"

:furious:

Also, work trying to save $ means I have a legal sick day next Thursday :hyper:

:rotfl2: bloody kids!

A legal sick day? How does that save them money??

I want a legal sick day... :scratchin which sounds better? That or Mental Health Day??

Sick days come out of a different accrual, so it's money they've already spent because it's sick pay i've accumulated :thumbsup2

My manager took a week off "sick"

pocket money?? :rotfl2:

in my house we did work around the house because it was part of being a kid. i started working part time when i was 13, and i would get paid $5 for about 6 hours work on a saturday, and i thought that was a lot of money, cause it bought me one book a week :)

ahh, the old days.

legal sick days -- good times :)

We had little chores that we did around the house, but for pocket money my mum used to bribe us. If we went to school every day of the term then we'd get $50 to spend on our holidays :rotfl2:

You bought books with your own money at 13! :0

Lol. My mum told me i could do what i wanted with it. I was a voracious reader and had only ever borrowed books from the library so the idea of owning a book was awesome and coincidentally a novel was $4.95 so what was i to do :) i wanted to be a librarian or teacher when i grew up :)

I bought the entire trixie belden series with my pocket money....still have them...

the local library couldnt keep up with my reading interests...

now I have my dream job::yes::

Exactly what I was looking at - especially if you look at their packages :rolleyes1

if i wasnt going to LA in feb I would be there!!!! Aulani every year would be nice::yes::

Hmm, I might see what Qantas or Hawaiian do... DH probably wouldn't agree to taking any more time off, but I could just book it and "surprise" him with it... :rotfl:
