The I am a pirate/fireman, I am not a hijacker thread, all about nothing in general

quick and easy......damn you com bank and your FF cap.....so off I toddle to velocity 0% interest for roll over and 7500 bonus velocity points, plus more when I spend $$.......will keep com bank but really, you just keep disappointing me:(

do you collect Velocity and Qantas points? Our points for cc are Qantas but DH gets Velocity points with work. When you flew ANZ who did you get points for?

we got ANZ dollars......but it is $160 spend for every anz $.....so thought i'd kick over to velocity..its 17000 ( +$23 taxes) velocity points for a delta one way lax-orlando ticket...we already have 20,000...so i only need 48,000 points to go...and both com bank and velocity CC have a $1 =1.5 point thing.....

damn you com bank..i will get mco flights for free....even if i have to cheat on you with virgin:rotfl:

I have another way to rort QFF points if anybody doesn't know.
If you shop at Woolies and swap your fuel savings for points, you get double the points.
At the moment they have a .10c fuel offer which means your QFF fuel point will be multiplied by 5 :thumbsup2

My DH buys all his work fuel at Woolies and we collect all the points :goodvibes Small but it costs us nothing.

Just read on the back page of our comm bank statement that BPAY amounts will NOT be converted into points from mid November. Off to search for a new card.

I know you love your kissy, kissy ANZ but make sure you take full advantage of the Velocity benefits. Change your settings to "family pooling" and add your DH. This will allow you to pool points and status credits. Pooling the status credits is the big winner as it allows you to reach higher membership levels in half the time. Higher memberships also equals bonus points for each flight/purchase.

I'm so excited about putting up our tree!! I got a big box of Disney decorations when we were there earlier in the year and I just want to see them on the tree, especially the most beautiful tree skirt I got. But the traditionalist in me says we have never put the tree up a day before the 1st December in my life and I'm fighting myself on it....

Don't fight the urge!

So, good week (except for the actual working work :lmao:)

I got a salaried position at my work, which is very hard to come by.
Same hours, more pressure i'm told, with a 16% payrise (Which is more than enough to cover 3 adult airfares to the U.S :thumbsup2) How sad is it that that is what I used as my measure to accept :rotfl2:

It's basically what i've been doing since my boss had been on holidays and getting ready for her transition to a new store, so it shouldn't be that much of a stretch...(here's hoping anyway )

congrats on the airfares..oops, sorry the pay rise:stir:

now about my FF points with velocity, I see that for 39,800 I can fly lax-mco one way first class on delta..so if i calculate correctly..then that's a bucket load for a rtn trip....really hope DH wont mind sitting in economy while I ride up front:lmao:..

LOL My mum was telling me she got talking to some people in the airport while she was on her last trip, and each flight one of the adults upgrades while the other sits in cattle class with the kids :lmao:

And thanks for the congratulations :grouphug:
I'm pretty psyched :thumbsup2

And I haven't told any of the people I work directly yet, i'm "surprising" them...pretty sure some of them won't take it so well...

:rotfl2:

Yep, just swap fuel savings for points :thumbsup2

The 10c off finishes on the 11th November (although they sometimes extend the further when Christmas is drawing near)
Just another way to earn points :thumbsup2

Well that is a great week. A 16% payrise is not something to be sneezed at for sure. And as you say, you've already been doing the position so shouldn't be too much of a shock to the system.

Congratulations :cheer2::cheer2:
