The Hot Fudge Terrorists and the Curse of the Drunken Punkin!!!New 04/24/14 pg 19

We were up early this morning and I was not hungover :thumbsup2 We were hungry though and headed to the food court!

Mom's breakfast

My breakfast!

I have become a huge fan of chocolate chip pancakes since I went gluten free! Gluten free pancake mix is not that good so mom began adding chocolate chips to them to add some flavor! I now will only eat pancakes with chocolate or white chocolate chips in them.

This morning we were headed to ESPN so I could pick up my race packet! I was doing the Jingle Jungle 5k!

As usual we stopped by the expo and I love these! Even though I am only able to do one race during my DCP (the rest were sold out :sad2:) I plan on visiting the expos! You can find great running gear for a good price!

I ended up buying a shirt that says "training for the zombie apocalypse" and it has a zombie with a race bib on it! Mom also picked up a running jacket for me to put away for Christmas. I love that running jacket! It is so warm!! With all the running I did outside this winter I definitely put it to good use!

When we got back to the room we had a debate

What is this thing?! I said it was a monkey and mom thought it was a chicken so dear DISers what do you think it is?

We then headed to DTD to get some more shop on!

They were also beginning to set up for the Festival of Masters. This is like a huge art fair at DTD.

and there was a special Lego set up!

We had fun looking around and knew we would be back a couple days later!

It was time to head to our dinner ADR at Whispering Canyon!

I started off with a whiskey shake!

We all know I like my alcoholic beverages!

Some of the ambiance

I guess we didn't take any pictures of the real food but we shared the platter with the ribs and chicken and all of the sides. We did remember to take pictures of the dessert though!

I think that was some sort of cheesecake?

Our camera was also stolen at one point

The woman was our waitress :lmao:

He also took a picture of us

We took the boat to the Contemporary and walked around a bit

We were killing time until MVMCP! We also made a stop at the GF to see if the Gingerbread house was done!

It was!

We checked out the gift shop and mom picked up an ornament for our tree

After that it was finally time for the party!

Walking up Main Street I noticed they had changed the windows!

The Mickey version does not get me the way the Muppet one does. I swear I watch that at least 5 times every Christmas!

This one is the best because I was able to work around the glare

Those little scamps!

and the wreaths were out!

Look at how festive Casey's looks!

Gotta get a pic of the Castle!

Up next the ride that was Christmas themed and much more! (Sorry it's kinda short have to get ready for work!)

I think you picked the absolutely best time to visit. I have to plan a trip where I get some Halloween and then some Christmas. It's the best of both worlds.

Those windows are absolutely adorable! Nice shots.

Uhmmm - I don't know WHAT that thing is in your room but it does look like a headless chicken. :lmao: Sad indeed!

Cute picture of you guys at dinner. A whiskey shake? Nice.

Those pre-race expos do look like a lot of fun.

Great update!

Oh Festival of the Masters, we were there when Shanleigh was 12 and had a great time. The picture you have of the truck with the framed prints....I bought one of those and the print is Belle and it's in my bedroom....probably one of the best things I ever purchased! It reminds me every morning why I get up and go to work....to pay for my obsession:rotfl:

That Mary Poppins ornament .... LOVE IT! I will be looking for that when we're down!!

Have a great weekend hon, and please say hi to your mom and dad for us:hug:

It was such a great trip!

Thank you!

:rotfl2:

It was so good!

They are!! I love checking them out! The best I have been to though is the Princess Expo!

Thank you!

That's so cute! I have my desktop background at work one of the SWW backgrounds with R2D2 at the Tower of Terror for the same reason :rotfl:

She was proudly displayed on our tree this year!

You too! I will!

You forgot to put the snooty smiley after that. :snooty:

You can find great running gear for a good price!

Which I find amazing, considering the usual Disney high prices for things.

Love it! :lmao:

What is this thing?! I said it was a monkey and mom thought it was a chicken so dear DISers what do you think it is?

It does look kind of like a chicken... especially the bottom half...
But considering I don't think Disney would put a dead chicken in your room, I'm going to have to go with monkey.

I started off with a whiskey shake!

That looks really good. Was it?

We all know I like my alcoholic beverages!

No! :faint:

Our camera was also stolen at one point

 Geez, I love WC.

We were killing time until MVMCP! We also made a stop at the GF to see if the Gingerbread house was done!

It was!

Looks good enough to eat... but too nice to eat!

The Mickey version does not get me the way the Muppet one does. I swear I watch that at least 5 times every Christmas!

Can you believe I still haven't seen it???

This one is the best because I was able to work around the glare

Nice! :thumbsup2

Gotta get a pic of the Castle!

It's a rule.

Up next the ride that was Christmas themed and much more! (Sorry it's kinda short have to get ready for work!)

Sounds good! Thanks for posting! :goodvibes

::yes:: I won't forget next time!

Which I find amazing, considering the usual Disney high prices for things.

Well most of the running places there aren't owned by Disney so they have reasonable prices :thumbsup2

Love it! :lmao:

Can you believe I still haven't seen it???

You need to!

Nice! :thumbsup2

It's a rule.

Sounds good! Thanks for posting! :goodvibes

Thank you for reading!

When I last left off we were headed towards the Jingle Cruise! I was so excited to try out the ride with the new holiday overlay! I have always wanted the Haunted Mansion in WDW to get the Nightmare Before Christmas one so I had big expectations of this ride! Mom and I had FP+s for it! Yep with your party tickets you can plan FP+ beginning at 4pm when you can get in! :thumbsup2

The holiday decorations in the Q were too cute!

Even the boats had holiday names!

and the tiki hut!

It was all very festive!

Unfortunately that's where the holidayness stopped :sad1: The jokes weren't holiday themed at all! I only remember something about Christmas cookies when it came to the Ginger snaps joke.. It was very disappointing!

Oh and Trader Sam looked mildly holiday-y

I did find the Santa hats cute though!

Then we went over to the Haunted Mansion! To my surprise it was decorated for the holidays too!

Yep a wreath :rolleyes2

After our tour through the Mansion we headed to the scariest ride on the face of the planet!

Luckily we made it through and decided it was time to go to the circus!

Unfortunately the pictures of me with the characters didn't turn out well but our area pictures did!

The lighting is just horrible in this area!

It was finally time for the party!

we got a snack and decided to just relax and wait for the show

Funny enough though we ended up leaving before the show started and never made it back over to watch it :rotfl2::confused3

I think it's because we got sidetracked by some ducks

and a dance party!

Jessie was really cutting a rug so most of our pictures of her are blurry :rotfl:

and the DJ was pretty cute!

This night instead of having to try and find a good spot for HoliWishes we had gotten tickets to the dessert party!

It was so nice not having to jockey for a spot and being able to enjoy the party more!

Close up!

We also saw a bit of the parade and had plans to get a better view later on!

You all know I have a gluten allergy and we were able to mark that on our reservation! I got a special plate delivered to our table

It was flourless chocolate cake with berries, chocolate chip cookies and sour gummies! I ended up packing the gummies in a bag we had to save them for home!

I took some more pictures of the Castle while we waited

and of the holiday streets

Then it was time for the HoliWishes preshow! I know they changed the name but I think it's Celebrate the Magic or was :confused3

Wreck it Ralph!

I just love seeing the different designs on the Castle!

It's time to fly!

My future boss!

Frozen

and Christmas time!

definitely my favorite overlay!

Then it was the moment I had been waiting for! Holiwishes!

Love the snowflakes!

Nutcrackers!

I really love this picture with the reflection from the water

Next up: Amazing Christmas Castle show pics!

I have been trying for weeks to get a reservation for the Dessert Party, glad to know it is for real and available to the public!!!:rotfl2: Loving your trip report!:cheer2:

When I last left off we were headed towards the Jingle Cruise!

At first, I thought that was a typo.

Oh and Trader Sam looked mildly holiday-y

"holiday-y".... it's a word. sure.

Then we went over to the Haunted Mansion! To my surprise it was decorated for the holidays too!

Yep a wreath :rolleyes2

Don't tease me!
I read that first bit and was all :yay: (and no, I don't mean I was exercising by doing jumping jacks.)

Then.... the let down.

After our tour through the Mansion we headed to the scariest ride on the face of the planet!

Ya got that right!

we got a snack and decided to just relax and wait for the show

:rotfl: Squirrel!

I've never seen Uncle Scrooge out before.

and the DJ was pretty cute!

Nice. Although I'm guessing, even with your own plate, that you didn't eat as much as others there.

Love the snowflakes!

That's my fave.

I really love this picture with the reflection from the water

:thumbsup2 Yup. That's a keeper.

Next up: Amazing Christmas Castle show pics!

Finally! Some pictures! Stop slacking off!!
jk
Great pics and thanks for the update! :goodvibes

I was slightly underwhelmed by the "Jingle" Cruise. I loved the idea but felt like the could have done more.

I love MVMCP and Holiday wishes! But I didn't know you could meet scrooge at the Party! That's so cool!

The MK one is that hard to get? We seem to always get it pretty easily :confused3

At first, I thought that was a typo.

"holiday-y".... it's a word. sure.

It is! I made it up!

Don't tease me!
I read that first bit and was all :yay: (and no, I don't mean I was exercising by doing jumping jacks.)

Then.... the let down.
Sorry!

Ya got that right!

:rotfl: Squirrel!

:lmao:

I've never seen Uncle Scrooge out before.

He is only out at the Christmas Party. I met him a few years prior when I went with my mom and grandma. His area used to be much cuter than what they have now.

Nice. Although I'm guessing, even with your own plate, that you didn't eat as much as others there.

:lmao: You know me too well!

That's my fave.

:thumbsup2 Yup. That's a keeper.

Thank you!

The next ones are Disney postcard worthy!!

Thank you for reading!

Agreed! I was expecting so much more!

Yep he is always out at it!

I like the christmas overlay on the JC but I've heard a lot of people say it was just "eh". Nothing special. Sounds like they built it up to be more than it was.

Good call on the dessert party. You clearly had a great vantage point and got some great shots. I love the picture with Think - THAT is cool - very surreal.

That Mickey popcorn bucket is TOO cute. :thumbsup2

I had to :rotfl: at the wreath on the HM door! I probably wouldn't have even noticed.

Looks like a fun party!

Yeah hopefully they are more prepared next year!

Thank you! That's why I love the dessert party! Such a great view!

I know! We couldn't pass it up!

Yeah I ride it enough to notice these things :rotfl:

It was!

Pure heaven....that's the way I think the World looks when it's decked out in all it's Christmas Glory! The JC pics are adorable!

We too booked the dessert party for our upcoming trip for the exact same reason.....and chocolate covered strawberries are our favourite food on earth so that ran a close second!

Beautiful castle pictures! I love the aqua colored with the ice - absolutely gorgeous!
I was wondering when "drunken pumpkin" would come into play. I completely understand the effects of the Lapu Lapu - those things are strong (but really good)!
So that was it for the jingle jungle cruise? I guess I was expecting something more to it.
Very cute picture with the three ducks!
