Dear American,

It’s only the third day of Barack Obama’s presidency, but he just announced his aggressive plan to force Americans to accept homosexuality.

His just-revealed gay rights agenda, posted on the Whitehouse.gov website, is a dream come true for the homosexual lobby. Our new president wants to force Americans to accept homosexuality in the workplace and in the military. Plus, he will push hard to pass hate crimes legislation and give marriage benefits to same-sex couples.

Here’s a short list of what our new president wants to do:

Pass hate crimes legislation that will criminalize opposition to homosexuality.
Allow homosexuals to enter into civil unions, which will “give same-sex couples legal rights and privileges equal to those of married couples.”
Repeal the federal Defense of Marriage Act.

Oppose a federal constitutional amendment to limit marriage to a man and a woman.

Repeal federal law to allow open homosexuals to serve in the U.S. military.

Give homosexual couples the right to adopt young children.

Fight AIDS with sex education, condoms, and needle-exchange programs.

Right now, the President has the political wind at his back. Most in the media and Congress are cheering for him and his agenda to succeed. That means he most likely will unless men and women of moral conviction and courage stand up and say “No!”

We have resources to help you understand these issues and to take action.

Ten Truths About Hate Crime Laws shows why so-called “bias-crime laws” threaten free speech, religious liberty, and equal justice in America. And if you’re wondering What’s Wrong With Same-Sex Marriage?, Dr. Kennedy has the answer in his book by that title. Finally, if you’re looking for aid in thinking biblically about every area of life, Dr. Kennedy’s book, Lord of All: Developing a Christian World-and-Life View will give you scriptural perspectives on politics, education, human life, economics, marriage, and more.

Thank you for your partnership with Coral Ridge Ministries! Your immediate online donation today will help us defend America’s moral heritage and bring God’s Word to bear on every area of life.

And look for more details in coming days about what our new President is doing to impose “change” on the nation – and what we, with your help, are doing to defend traditional, biblically based American virtues!

Thank you for your friendship—and your prayers.

Your friends at Coral Ridge Ministries.

Uhmm, those coral ridge people are a little bit late to the game, he had those plans up well before we even elected him, maybe if they spent a little less time reading the bible and US Weekly :rotfl2:

So can we get our hands on their "resources" and find out what it is they say to people to "explain" what they should do, think and say about homosexuality?

I learned at Uni, I had to listen to the words of the dead white men to be able to refute them later.

Same principle applies here, yes?

I'd be happier to have their $$$ "resources" than their brainwashing "resources." Their propoganda is bound to be junk we've all heard before (and to be honest, fully debunked/refuted/addressed before as well).

It's really frustrating that these shadow funded agenda pushers can target certain areas where their hate will seed well. They send in their pushers, fully financed, into areas where they don't even have any connections, just to try to scare and influence people. :crazy2:

The White House

Madam Secretary:

We congratulate you on your Senate confirmation, and we look forward to working with you in promoting America’s interests and strengthening our national security in this rapidly changing world. Whether assigned stateside or overseas, Civil Service or Foreign Service, active or retired, we are all proud to be serving our nation.

We, the undersigned and representing the diversity of the foreign affairs agencies, would like to bring to your attention a matter that concerns us all. All of us are troubled that our families are not all treated equally and with the same respect. We are concerned that access to the federal health care insurance program is denied to same-sex partners of employees serving in Third World countries with substandard medical care. We question the logic of leaving same-sex partners to fend for themselves during an emergency evacuation of a high danger post. We are embarrassed when the Department will reimburse a variety of moving expenses, including the cost of transporting a pet, when an employee is assigned overseas, but will not do the same for a same-sex partner. We are saddened that individual and community safety are put at risk because full language instruction is not available to same-sex partners. We are uncomfortable that same-sex partners receive less compensation and fewer benefits for performing exactly the same job inside the mission as an opposite-sex spouse, that is, when same-sex partners are given a chance to work.

An order from your office designating same-sex partners as Eligible Family Members (EFMs) could remedy many of the inequalities that these families face. Other remedies will require coordination between the Executive and Legislative branches.

Madam Secretary, we believe that no colleague of ours is a second-class colleague, and no colleague's family is a second-class family. Given your commitment to protecting the safety and promoting the welfare of all Foreign Service families, we ask for your full consideration of our concerns and we hope that a dialogue aimed at ending this unequal treatment can be started.

Your loyal staff,

How dare people want to be treated equally. Don't you all know that it's the bible way or the highway?

Now I of course thought we were a country that allowed religious freedom. But silly me what do I know? So how at the same time can Christianity be used as basis to discriminate? I've always wondered how folks that use Christianity against us can reconcile non-Christian Heterosexuals. Why are "the gays" singled out? Why do people spend so much money and energy on "fighting" us when there are so many real needs out there?
I know I'm preaching to the choir, but I just felt a need to vent.

Haha, whatever. They just love targeting us because they know we won't be accepted as 2nd class citizens anymore. :upsidedow

I hear what you're saying -- as an American who is NOT a Christian, wth should you be forced to abide by the rules of a book that has no relevance in your life? :confused3

I felt compelled to point out, however, that the Bible says a LOT of things that these so-called Christians never mention. It talks about turning the other cheek. It talks about loving your enemies. It talks about selling everything you own and giving the proceeds to the poor. It talks about not judging. Hmm. Interestingly, Jesus didn't say a word about homosexuals. They surely existed during his time on earth.

It makes me ill how Christians will push their agendas with quotes from a book that they know very little about. The homosexual references they use are either defunct because they're in the Old Testament, or they're incorrectly quoted because of translation errors. Paul chose to use a word other than "homosexual" when he wrote the often used verses from the New Testament. There was a word for homosexual. He didn't use that word. However, translators interpreted the word he *did* use as homosexual anyway.

The bias against homosexuals goes back a looooong way.

The bottom line is that our government shouldn't be giving any of it the time of day since it's religion based. :sad2:

that's my point. If one is Atheist, Jewish, Muslime Buddhist etc. they are supposed to live by the rules of a book or tenent (sp) of believes they don't hold? I'll come out as a Christian. But by whose definition. I believe in Christ, but I don't believe the bible as infallible. We go to a break away Catholic church that has been in existence 10 years now and continues to grow while the numbers in traditional Catholic churches continue to go down. This priest had the audacity to let women preach, marry gay couples and allow anyone to take communion. So he was banned from the church and this new church was born. This church community is huge on social justice and outreach. How evil of them huh? So I'm happy that maybe we have a glimmer of hope with this new president to reverse some of the damage that has been done.
