Today was our first of four backstage tours. This one was the Backstage Safari tour at Animal Kingdom. Please see my review of the tour, Backstage Safari Tour Review, for more details.

After the tour we had lunch at the Tusker House, which was not too bad. We then decided to go back to our room and chill for a while since we were going to be having a late night.

For dinner we went to Palio’s at the Swan. This was a great meal! For dessert we had a cookie sampler to go, since our next stop was Downtown Disney to see Cirque du Soleil. We arrived early, so we went back to Ghirardelli’s for some more Café Mocha Decadence and hot chocolate, and enjoyed our cookie sampler while sitting by the lake.

Up next was Cirque du Soleil – I can’t even begin to describe this show, except to say it was awesome! If you have a chance to see it – go! The entire show is very busy – you won’t know where to look! I walked away not only wondering how they did some of the acts, but how they thought of them! Where they sitting at a bar one night drunk or something? Great, great show – a must-do at Downtown Disney.

Needless to say, after the show we went back to OKW and collapsed.
