Hello all what a beautiful day in hawaii and IRL its going into the 80's today.

ilovepcot always good to hear that you make someone smile and you guys always give me many.

Goodmorning everyone! (I have to work today so I am inside DIS'ng when everyone else sane is outside enjoying themselves).

I have asked the chef to set up breakfast:

Our weekend was great - great weather, great times, and fun, fun fun. The sugar cane plantation was very neat, but enough education, I need a mindless shell seaking episode.

Diane, the restaurant we went to was the Struck. We had been there before at their old location and felt that the food was overdressed and the chef tried too hard and therefore charged too much so we thought we'd give it another try. We had the same reaction this time, but their new location is very nice and they have a great bar that we will go to again to just have apps and salads. I would much rather spend the money we spent at 111 or the Sole. The problem with the Struck is that they throw so many different flavors into a dish to make it sound unique that the main purpose of the food gets lost. Too many flavors does not make a gourmet meal. It always sounds fabulous on paper though.

Ilovepcot, Yes, we go down to Cocoa Beach quite often in fact I just returned two weeks ago. My family has invested there since the early seventies so it serves as our family vacation home. I actually used to own a condo there too (yes, I was a trust fund kid). But, alas I had to sell it to finish paying for college - its real purpose anyways. It just kills me to know how much they sell for now as opposed to then. Ours and my sister have always been right at the pier and right on the water facing the ocean. We actually complain regularly that the surf is too loud to sleep. Tough life we lead down there.

I'm off to find some shells - I am an avid shell seaker.

But shhhhh, everyone is out enjoying the weather today and here I am at our home with none other. I was keeping it a secret. He is very good with his tools of the trade.

Well, I am SO glad that the new bartender I hired as a secret surprise is working out so well. And, here's the best news - he's actually twins! Yes, ladies, there is double fun with our new bartenders Ricardo AND Rinaldo. Ricardo is on the day shift and Rinaldo is on the night shift.

Oh, and Ed, I didn't forget about you. Their beautiful sister, Francesca, will be our pool waitress bringing our drinks and snacks directly to our chairs.

Sounds like I missed alot of fun while I was gone this weekend! What's on the agenda for today? I had a private surfing lesson this morning, but I'm game for a little exploring this afternoon!

OK - I'm back from shell seeking. I found one large conch shell we can use to call everyone in for dinner. Hey, what have you all been up to around here? Everyone has these big grins on their faces and you all are staring off into the bar/garden area out by the pool.

As for afternoon activities, if everyone is up for it I would like to check out the black sand beaches (if I can tear everyone away from the talk that the gardener is giving in a few minutes on creating coconut bras). When I was little my parents went to Hawaii and left me at home and all I got for it was some black sand in a bag. Well, now I want to go get some myself.

That rumbling sound behind me is the elite runners of the Boston Marathon going by me at work here

Can't repeat what that beautiful bartender "thought" you called her, but I explained your accent best I could. She's dried her tears and can now be heard muttering your name, only to break out in hysterical laughter!!!!!! Oh, you "suave" devil!!!!!
