With Fall Camps underway and the first game of the College Football Season only 26 days away,it is time to start making plans to be at WDW for the BEST day of the year for WDW Fanatics who are also College Football Fanatics!:)

The Home Depot College Football Awards Show will once again originate from WDW.

The date this year is Thursday,December 11.:)

This should be the most exciting event yet with the new 4 team Playoff starting this year and the 4 teams will be known by December 11.:)

I'm sooo ready for some football too! We are getting to WDW Dec. 13 so we'll just miss the awards show! That stinks! Oh well, wonder if there will still be any college football guys from ESPN still there that weekend Cause that would be pretty cool to meet them! =)

Hi, sorry to sound dumb but is this a ticketed event? I'm from the UK and have a College Football obsessed best friend from the US. We'll be in WDW on the 11th and was wondering is there any way to see or be at this, cause I know she'd just love it. Thanks :)

That will either be our arrival day or our first park day. Do you have any more information on the event? I am a huge college football fan but not sure if this is something worth missing park time for.

The actual Awards Show is inside Atlantic Dance Hall.

They used to invite a few fans inside for the show, but stopped doing that several years ago.

However there ARE shows outside on The Boardwalk all day leading into the Red Carpet Show so Players and Coaches will be appearing on these shows all day.

Here is some info on last year's event to give you an idea of what it is like.:)

To me,it is the ultimate combination of my two "hobbies"-Walt Disney World and College Football,so I wouldn't miss it!:)

If you decide not to invest the time,be on the lookout in the Parks Wednesday and Thursday-some of the Athletes and ESPN personalities will be out in the Parks taping "spots' for the Show.

Everybody stays at The Boardwalk Inn so they all "hang out" in The Boardwalk area mostly.

You never know who you might see just walking along The Boardwalk Wednesday and Thursday.:)

It is the greatest "collection" of College Football Stars in one place all year and it happens at the WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT!:)

The Nomination Special airs tonight.:)

Thanks for the info - sounds really interesting and as a big WDW and CFB fan I may need to go check it out. :thumbsup2 Guessing the easiest thing for parking would be just to park at Epcot and walk through the IG over to Boardwalk?

Hollywood Studios may be a better [and closer] parking option?

I was over at The Boardwalk today and noticed they are already putting up the stage.:)

I have a feeling there are going to be LOTS of Crimson Tiders,Ducks,Seminoles and Buckeyes at the show Thursday!:)

We arrive at WDW on the 9th and were planning a non-park day on Thursday, the 11th, at the BWI area. We are not into college football and prefer to avoid the crowds as much as possible. Should we try to change our plans? How much does this event increase crowds?

Thanks!

If we ever go at that time of year again (a super time IMO), we will definitely check out the shows!! Do some campaigning for Amari Cooper while you're there! Roll Tide!!!!
