Pre Trip Report

Cast –
Me:cutie: (Claire) age 25 (planner of the trip, will be going on the thrill rides alone:cool1: )

DD princess: (Alisha) age 5(loves Minnie Mouse, Aristrocats, Lady & Tramp, Nick Jnr, looking forward to riding Splash Mountain)

My Mum, pirate: age 49(Hates Tower of Terror, Mission space and has a list of rides she won’t do, claims she is only going for DD benefit(yeah right))

last year in 2006 I booked to go to WDW finally staying for a week in September however I had my doubts as DD was starting school in September and as I planned for it I began to think a week was not enough, so I cancelled the holiday and booked for October 2007, My for me, DBF, DD, and my younger sister who would be 18,. A few weeks later free dining was announced so I got in touch with Virgin Holidays and changed are dates to September so we would qualify for free dining staying at Port Orleans river side, DD headteaher approved the days of school so everything was in place. My parents, brother and sister went to WDW in September 2006 so I passed on all my tips a learnt from the DIS on to them while looking forward to my own trip until DBF decided he did not want to go to WDW, oh well, it will be a girl’s trip then, me and my sister and DD. However they was another problem, my sister will be in her last year of her A levels so she was worried that the teachers will not be happy with her missing two weeks of school, especially as she had two weeks of last year at the same time to go to WDW, she felt she could not risk it . Oh no, it looks like I will have to cancel as I had no one to go with,

I looked at alternative dates however it was to expensive, I mention this to my mum and she said she will take my sisters place, so not to disappoint DD, she says she will leave all the planning to me and will just follow me and DD around doing what we want to do.

So I start to plan the itinerary using tour guide mike busy day guide, I book ADRs, I book character meals for DD, Donald’s Breakfast, Princess story book, O hana breakfast, Cinderella Gala feast LBT, so hopefully this will give DD plenty of opportunities to meet all her favourite characters, she is most looking forward to meeting Cinderella and Minnie Mouse. She is a big fan of the Disney Film Lady & The tramp so I book Tony town square and will tell her it is the restaurant out of the film, hopefully if we get a table out side we will get a good view of the afternoon parade.
I book Boma for my mum as she is going on a safari holiday to Kenya next year, I book the yachtsman steakhouse for a more grown up meal which also has a good children’s menu.
I booked the fantasmic package with Mama Melrose, I have not heard many good reviews about it however I am still going to give it a try.
Rose & Crown, Raglan rd, Ohana, Kona, and concourse steakhouse are also all booked so hopefully we have a good mix of meals.

We plan to do all the Disney Parks with the Blizzard Beach water park as well as universal which I was going to miss however DD heard from somewhere that you can meet Dora the Explorer so she specks up that she wants to go there, so I agree and I think we may also go to the Hard Rock café while we are there as I have always wanted to visit one.

We are also going to SeaWorld which my DD is really looking forward to; she did about the Polar Regions at school and can’t wait to see the empire penguins.

My mum then says that she would like to eat at Rain Forest Café, so I fit it in for lunch on our last day at Down Town Disney after doing the virgin check in there; DD loved this restaurant at DLRP so I am sure she will enjoy it as well.

In June the holiday is paid for, yay!

Now the holiday is paid for the fun can begin, after checking my wardrobe I don’t seem to have hardly any summer clothes, , so time to shop, I buy new dresses, skirts, tops, a pair of crocs and new swim ware, DBF treats DD to lots of pretty dresses, and Disney crocs, I have started to collect sun lotion, update my make up, etc, I have brought DD lots of little things for the plane like colouring books, pens, stickers and drawing games. I got new passports for me and DD which arrived last week. Now they is nothing left to do but wait.

Looking forward to reading more Claire:thumbsup2

will get back with pictures sometime this week.:)

Can't believe that your DBF doesn't want to join you - but how cool to have a three generation girly outing spectacular!

I have been holding out on my holiday clothes shopping because once I've done that I will be like you - nothing to do but wait. Seems a bit weird when you've spent so long planning everything doesn't it?

Enjoy the waiting. Have a great time
