DAY 3
Today we were at Magic Kingdom for 7.30am for Little Ones Magic Hours, we were the first on to Main Street ,

this is our first time on Magic Kingdom and to be there along should have been an amazing experience we stopped to take pictures and take in the detail however my mum started complaining that we were taking to long and other people were getting a head of us, I tired telling her that they we most likely going for breakfast and that Fantasyland will be roped of until 8.am anyway however it made no difference,
we waited at rope drop at Magic Kingdom and a few minutes before lots of characters came out, Alice, Wendy, Tiger and stitch,

at rope dropped we went straight to Dumbo and my mum complained we were to slow as we missed the first ride and had to wait for the next ride however this came to be a good thing as went it was our turn a CM came up to us and asked if DD would like to ride with stitch, she was so excited as she had seen children ride with the characters in pictures and on the promo DVD and I had told her that I doubt she would get to ride with a character as I thought they just did it for promo pictures and the children were models. DD loved the ride and said stitch was very impatient about waiting for the ride to start, me and my mum sat in front and I took pictures and stitch waved at the camera. We also got some photo pass pictures done.

Now this is when my mum started it irate me as DD was so excited afterwards and was talking about it and my mum showed no emotion about it at all. We then went on snow white, IASW, Peter Pan, and Winnie the Pooh. I must admit I was slightly disappointed with the themeing of Fantasyland, DLRP looks so much prettier.

At 9.am the rest of the park opened so we went to Frontier land for rope drop and the first ride was splash mountain, me and DD loved this ride, I am not sure if my mum did or not, we got soaking wet as we were at the front. We then went on BTM which was fun however DD said it was not as good as DLRP one.

We then had went to Adventure land which was another disappointment compared to DLRP in the themeing, we went on POTC and the queuing area was nowhere near as good as DLRP and the CM were not dressed as pirates, the ride was excellent though, the bit with Davy Jones is so good however my DD hated it, she hated the scenes that they did not have on the DLRP version as they scared her, and would not open her eyes until we were at bits that were the same as DLRP. After POTC we did the tiki show which I thought was really weird and then did Jungle Cruise where we encounter our first queue of the day, (about 15minutes) again another weird ride which is quite fun. We then did the Magic Carpet ride before heading to Fantasyland to watch Philamagic, this was an amazing show and we all loved it, even my mum seemed to like it, we then went to queue up to see the little mermaid, we waited about 30minutes however DD did not mind as she really wanted to meet Ariel. Ariel was really nice and asks DD if she swam across the Atlantic to get here,

DD and my Mum then wanted Ice Cream, I declined due to the heat as the ice-cream wont last long in this heat, the ice cream began to melt straight away as predicted. We then went to toontown fair and went to Minnie and Mickey’s house and rode Goofy Brian storm, we decided to leave meeting the characters to another day and got the train once around the park and eventually got of at Main Street and went to dinner at Tony Town Square, which turned out to be the worst meal of our stay, disgusting food and the waiter was very abrupt, we ended up with starters, mains and desserts at the table at once as they brought food out before we finished with one course and then did not clear plates away when we finished. The only postive was my DD is a big fan of Lady and the Tramp so loved all the pictures on the wall.

After our disappointing meal we got the bus back to POR and we went for a swim, and then spent the evening sat by the river having a drink of coke watching the boats. We then spent the rest of the evening watching TV as we had another early start tomorrow.

sounds like a great day, shame about the meal tho !!

do you have any pictures ?

I love reading your report as this is your first time at WDW. I can just see both you and your daughter looking at all the new and magical things at disney with big wide eyes.

Looking forward to reading more

Lovely photos Claire:thumbsup2

Hope your mum starts to get into the Disney spirit. Shame about Tony's, we've found it to be either a 'hit' or 'miss'.

I love that photo of your DD and Stitch on Dumbo, it's brilliant. A great day, though what a shame about your meal

Mandy :)

Did you speak to the manager about Tony's? :(

Brilliant picture of Stitch and your DD :teeth:

Fantastic photo of your daughter and Stitch, what a lovely expierence for you all:goodvibes

How wonderful for your DD to ride with stitch, what's up with your Mum? Hope she feels the magic soon! I've only heard bad reports about Tonys!!!

What a fantastic treat for DD to ride with Stitch :goodvibes

Shame about Tonys - our last visit was the same I am afraid:confused3

aawwww your photo of DD and Stitch made me cry, I'm so happy for her, i wish your mum would have been too! I keep hearing nothing but bad about Tonys, i don't think i will ever go to this restaurant.

How great that your dd got to ride dumbo with stitch my ds would have loved that!!!

So sorry you were disappointed in Tony's. It's one of my favorites (among many WDW favorites) and have always only gotten very good food and excellent service. Like Kaylee, I hope you spoke to someone there about the situation. Disney isn't perfect but where they show their committment to excellence is in their attempt to make it up to a disappointed guest. You might have gotten some extra perks, some passes or at the least, an apology. Doesn't sound like you'd risk eating there again after such a dismal experience--and that's too bad. Maybe a little dessert and drink sometime for your DD to enjoy the Lady and Tramp atmosphere. Too bad about the MK rides suffering in comparison to DLRP versions for your little one. Hoping to read that her next day's activities were more satisfying.

I love the photo of your DD with Stitch. What a memorable experience!! :wizard:

I'm so excited that your DD got to ride with Stitch

Hope the Disney magic hits your Mum v soon
