Day 4
Up and had breakfast and took our bags to the luggage room this wasnt at reception but one of the small function rooms. Off to the park for our last day and it was grey, wet and cold
- and I think the most miserable day I have had at Disney. Only an hour of EMH today again but was about 8.40am before we got there got the omnibus down main street which was quite empty
and did the traditional trip on Buzz to start the day quickly followed by IASW.
Then we headed to Woodys round up and joined the queue for Santa was around 40 minutes but was soooo cold. Had a lovely time with Santa and then went to Mickeys Winter Wonderland Show, DH and DS went for a toilet stop while we met Jessie and Woody then we hopped on the train and went right round to Main Street.
We were going to head to the Studios as the boys wanted to do Moeuters again but then DH announced he was hungry so we ended up going to Plaza Gardens for the buffet wasnt too bad and allowed us to warm up a bit.
DS wanted to go on Star Tours again so the boys went to that and the girls did Buzz again they both had a 50 minute wait. Met up again in Café Hyperion and watched some cartoons before heading to the studios we had hoped to see Mickeys Magical Party show on the way but this was cancelled due to the weather.
When we got to the Studios DS decided he didnt want to do the stunt show so we did a bit of screaming
Before the boys headed for Stitch and we went to the art of animation again where DD1 finally got to learn to draw something this time it was Pooh.
The studios were noticeably quieter by now as it was cold, windy and wet we went to TSPL and went on Slinky about 5 times I think DS would still be going round on it had we let him!
It was now about 5.30 so we said goodbye and went to the train station for some food for the journey home back to the hotel for our bags sorted them out and not long after got a text from Ezyshuttle to say they were outside waiting for us. Of to the airport and we were home shortly after midnight but would have been much later if I had been driving as the clutch went but dh managed to nurse the car home (we didnt get it back for about 3 weeks but DH bought me a new car to replace it (new to me not new new) he is keeping the one that broke and his very old one is going to car heaven!).
I still cant decide if I enjoyed this trip or not even looking back on it now 6 weeks later we did have some highs but I think I was acutely aware of DH being there and trying to please him the weather was terrible particularly on Sunday. I loved the Xmas decorations and the Christmas extras like Fantillusion, the kids loved meeting Santa and DD2 was talking about when we go back next year for Xmas when we were still there.
I wasnt overly impressed with HNY and would only choose it again if I got it for a very good price. Queues were manageable but the biting wind on Sunday really did put a dampener on our last day. I totally forgot to go to DLH to see the characters and we didnt use Salon Mickey at all but I did make good use of my shareholders card and I reckon I might have already saved its cost already.
I have no idea if we will go back DH said he wouldn't be fussed about going back but I know the girls would like to return (and I suppose I would as well) I have been looking at prices with the latest offer but I think I would like another September trip for the better weather.
