I'm so sad it's over. Thanks for sharing this perfectly fun trip report. And for the helpful tips. I can't even BEGIN to imagine how long it takes you to get ready!!

My only wish is that we could take a vacation long enough to spend the first day relaxing... someday...

As far as relaxing on the first day...I know what you mean. I thought it sounded good in theory anyway . The first day of this trip was beyond exhausting and we all never really go over it. My first trip to WDW was in 05 and we went to DTD and to dinner (Chef Mickey's) and then back to the resort. I think part of the problem this trip was we didn't get to do much pre-trip packing because of the surprise so we ran around like crazy people the day before we left and hardly got any sleep. It was embarrassing dosing off at CM's..we could hardly keep our eye's open. People probably thought we were drunk or something. At least I didn't start snoring...

Funny, my dad is a barber in Peachtree City...you won't be too far from me...about an hour and a half. I am east of Atl going towards Athens.

What a great trip report! I really enjoyed reading it! Your family looks so nice, kind, sweet, and excited! Especially your children--I can just tell that they are good kids. I love that your daughter seems crazy (in the best way!, spontaneous and funny) and that your son isn't "too cool" for Disney. And about that lady who got spilled on twice? Maybe she was really grouchy and angry because she had gotten spilled on all day every day? Haha... but seriously, that's no need to overreact when people apologize! Oh yeah, I also really loved your poem and your clue hunt! That was so cool and it was the best ever! I loved it!

I think my kids are great but they each have their own "issues" we have to deal with. You know you get one straightened out and the other ones goes crazy. It is a conspiracy, I think. Luckily, we are not outnumbered.
We do have a lot of fun together though.

I am glad you enjoyed the surprise and poem. It was so much fun to do but it was very hard to keep the secret. But it was all worth it to see their faces . On a sad note, my memory card was defective and I didn't get any pictures from the scavenger hunt. I kept trying to take the picture and I was getting this error message. I didn't know what it meant. I had never seen that before. I was so caught up in the moment I didn't pick up the film camera either. So I only have 2 or 3 pictures from it and they aren't very good. Hopefully, I will be able to always remember it.

By the way, I read your TR from DLP (Easter) and I really enjoyed it. Loved your pictures. It is so cool to see other parks and hear about the similarities and differences. Do you live in France? You could be neighbors with Johnny Depp.....

Thanks so much for your tips. We actually pack 4 pairs of socks per each day and use two pairs at a time to prevent blistering! So sad that it's over, but before you know it it'll be time to go again!

Oh my, your wedding is getting so close. I know you are so excited. And you are going on a disneymoon too! Well, I can't wait to hear all about it and to see your pictures. Yesterday was my 20th anniversary. I can hardly believe that 20 years have passed. We really wanted to go somewhere...just the two of us, but we couldn't afford it. (We have had many unexpected bills lately.) So, since we couldn't do something for us and have a family vacation we decided to celebrate all together during our WDW vacation in Oct. Our kids want us to wear the bride and groom Mickey ears...that ought to be a hoot!

I wish you and your (almost) hubby all the best with lots of love & laughter.

I TOTALLY agree with this one
So funny that you were as nervous as I was. I was REALLY worried that it would be weird for me since I was the only single one there. But I had a GREAT time, and regretted that we didnt arrange to meet up again afterwards.

It is funny that we were worried and feeling the same things. I had decided if you were all really weird or something; I would excuse myself to the restroom and escape.

This September, I'm going to meet some DISers 9/13 at the Tower of Terror (no, I'm not gettting on), and I'm hoping to meet some others as well.

I want to come....
OK Glenda...like I tell my kids, you really must face your fears. This is an awesome ride. I know you will love it if you do it.

When you didnt come back for a while, I was afraid that you wouldnt finish it! To me, you have some of the best photos overall, especially of the FOOD

I know, I know...it took me forever to finish...6 months or so. YIKES! But I did finish and that is the point isn't it?
I am glad you liked the pictures...next trip I probably take even more...I have acquired more memory cards .

So sorry it's over, but hopefully you'll write another one for your next trip in October!

I so loved your trip report. You have kids the same age as mine(except I have an extra one 2 1/2 yrs old). Its always fun to read when you have something in common. Although, your kids look so much more well behaved then mine are...

I am glad you enjoyed the TR. As far as the behavior goes...my kids are wild, stubborn, loud & argumentative. Quite frankly, I would worry if they weren't . Like I said before...we all have our 'issues' Some of us just hide ours and some don't mind displaying them for all the world to see .

So...are you going to write a TR in June? I hope so. I hope your trip will be full of magical pixie dust . I look forward to hearing all about it.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. What fun!!! Are you getting married at WDW? I will keep my eyes open for some newlyweds. I had posted to serendipity (who is getting married next week) that my DD wants us to wear the bride & groom ears since we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary at Disney. I am very excited about our upcoming vacation!! I have never been in late Oct so I am hoping for low crowds and perfect weather!

Where are you staying? Are you guys doing the DDP?

We are getting married at WDW, my dream come true!

10/24/07 is the big day and we can't wait.

I say you guys go ahead and wear the bride and groom ears!
I had to have mine in advance, so I ended up getting a set off Ebay a few months ago. It's taken all my self control to not wear them every day.

We're staying at Pop, and doing DDP for the first time, which I'm really excited to try. As soon at my 180 days hit last week I was up at at em making ADR's to try to start planning around where I want to eat.

We're also trying to plan on some costumes for MNSSHP, which I'm really looking forward to!

If you had finished your report in a timerly fashion, I would've never left my DL at home instead of taking it to the airport!!!

As far as my camera goes...I have a Nikon D50. I photography. It is a great camera if you are in the market. It is a digital SLR.

Funny thing is I just got the camera about 3 weeks before the trip. I really had no idea how "the digital" stuff worked (I had only shot film) but I was really pleased with most of my shots.
FYI - The photopass photographers use a Nikon D70...the next step up from mine.

I am hoping to take a class before we head back to WDW in Oct to at least have a clue what some of the settings mean. Thanks again!
