Michele - 40, The Disney Crazed wife
Have been to WDW 6 times but not in the last 10 years.
Jeff - 41, Wonderful husband who let his wife go crazy with
planning this Trip! Has never been to WDW and didn't really
Know what to expect. ( I think his wife scared him a little bit
with all the planning hee hee)
Day 2 Magic Kingdom
Last night I made sure to call so that Mickey would give us our wake up call at 6. But due to our excitement we were up at 5
We fiunally saw some animals out our window.
We got ourselves ready and headed over to the bus to take us to the Magic Kingdom. More magic..... we get to the bus stop as the bus is pulling up. Perfect timing. AKL bus service is great since it only serves that resort. Love the direct route. We get into Magic kingdom around 8:15.
We see people going in due to having a PS for breakfast. I have to explain this to my husband due to him looking at me and saying" why do they all get to go in now and we have to stay out here"?
Then he says.... why don't we just say we are going in for breakfast. I'm a little worried about doing this. I'm one of those rule followers. I like rules!!! But gee... does look really easy to do. so ... OK.... we walk up and say we are going in for breakfast... and shazam... we are in.
Very nice walking down main street with so few people... what a perfect time to take a picture of the castle. WHAT??????
LOOK AT THE CASTLE!!! Stich has attacked the castle. Toilet paper all over it and a sign on the front that says Stich is King. The signs all over the park saying "wanted : Stich" were too cute.
We had so much fun in that first 45 minutes. All the cast members were so into it . We talked to a few that were so in character with the whole thing.
Once again... adding to our magical trip.
We went over to Tomorrow land and had GREAT cast members there entertaining the crowd. We got in with not that many people around. Walked on to buzz lightyear, then walked on to space mountain. Got a fast pass for the Stich ride and then toured on.
I will say this is one of the easiest days I have ever spent in the Magic Kingdom. We walked on to rides. Weather was great. EVERY cast member was Fantastic.
We went to Pecos Bill for lunch. Yummy counter service. No real line there either. Just two people in front of us.
Went on Stich.... well , it was ok. My husband liked it more than I did.
We did most all of the rides ( missed a few of the rides in Fantasy land... for some reason my husband just didn't want to ride dumbo or the teacups LOL)
We were so lucky with Characters. We just kept bumping into them. we got some great photos.
We were able to see the parade at 3. Could not have had a better view. We loved going to areas of the parade route that were almost empty. we did this for all parades.
Now... off to Crystal Palace for some dinner and to meet Pooh and the gang!!!
Tigger is a favorite of my husband's so we were looking forward to some good pic's.
I also have a friend that I work with that is a huge pooh fan. She has cancer and I had thought of an idea to give her something special. I asked the waitress if we could have a large piece of paper and a large marker so I could write "Hi Julie" on it and have Pooh hold it as I took the picture. She said of course. Well not only did she bring me the things I asked for she gave me a picture with pooh and friends and all had signed it and said best wishes Julie from Pooh and the gang. TOO CUTE.
So I still got the picture I wanted and this also. The characters were great there and we had lots of time with them. We also thought the food was good here . A very enjoyable lunch and not so noisy or crazy.
Later that evening we saw wishes. Just wonderful. Even my husband got teary eyed. We just loved it and had a great viewing area over by tomorrow land but still looking at the castle head on.
Such a WONDERFUL day with so much Magic.
We even had a short wait for our bus to go back to the resort.
We were back at the hotel at 8:05pm. Pretty good since we watched wishes at 7.
Ok we are sooooooo tired at this point we just drop into bed.
We have to get up and head over to YC tomorrow for the rest of our stay.
