Hello!

It's "tomorrow" lol. And because I am waiting up for Calvin to get home from a party I cannot sleep. As usual. I'm not much of a sleeper tbh tfi. Anyways.

So.

I'll post the pics that will load from our next day which was EPCOT!

We did rope drop and all the rides we could. Minus SOARIN' saidly. Missing that was saddest evah. Just hope it will be better than ever when it reopens.

After our morning of fun and rides we decided it was time to DRINK AROUND THE WORLD.

Beth was all game face. She was wanting to do this for awhile since she was gonna be 21 on the trip. Sadly. The day was hot. We got hungry. Also hangry. And we only did like four countries. Only. And Beth and I shared too. Idk if that is a cheat but so be it. And we did: Mexico, Germany, Italy, and UK. Plus Future World. if. that. counts.

So. Although we are pretty damn good drinkers. (Canadian and all) TFI

We super pooped out by the Refreshment Port in Canada.

Nods to ZZUB. The WWUBBliest.

Here's our pics...

Cheers, Mel

Next day!

And on to ANIMAL KINGDOM!!! Which I gotta say I am thinkings that it may be my 2nd favourite park these days. It is for sure rivalling EPCOT for 2nd place. I just love the vibe there. The details. The SMELL!!!!

Then again.

It may or may not be because I'm a total animal lover.

What I'm saying here is that the boyz are total animals. Mellyman too.

On a good day. Hehehheh.

So...the first picture.

That is for ALEX!!!

Huge giant ALEX with the biggest hands and feet ever. EVER. Seriously.

He is affectionately called "The Yeti" in our house. (Beth *hates* that but... whatever)

He's a smart, kind, large, rectangular hairy Italian man. Whom we all have grown to love and accept as an unofficial Happyhaunt. He makes Beth soooo happy and is pretty much a keeper.

Soooooo... we rode Expedition ALEX three times in a row before our FastpassPlusssses in his honour.

The first pic there is of Uncle Calvin and Uncle Tommy holding my future Grandyetis. Babies.

Beth was notnotnot *NOT* really pleased with all this type and kind of hijinks... and opted out of the pics.

We were too busy taking pics and laffing to care tho. TBH.

TFI.

The other pic is of Calvin modelling the future wedding formal headwear. Gear. Thingie. Whatever.

AND...

He sooooo thinks he should be a furry hat model. If the Firefighter career thingie falls through. He sad it!!!!!

This ride is FUNFUNFUN!!!

Almost as fun as puppies!!!

No.

No where close. Not even. BUT... FUN!!! All the same.

Cheers, Mel

Our lunch at the "Yak and Alex" was pretty darn good. Prolly one of our top three of the trip. The quantity of the portions were darn good for the price and the food was really really tasty. The restaurant itself is really nicely themed and was a good break from the heat of the day. Mellyman and I are going back again together by ourself in July for a week and we decided to do this place twice!!! Based on our experience here this trip.

Our waiter was a little odd. To start.

But... he warmed up to us as the lunch progressed.

Or else maybe *we* were a little odd. To start.

IDK. But it all worked out fine in the end. That's what matters.

Saidly most of the food photos and others won't load. File too big. ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

To sum this up:

EFFFFit!!! But... the pictures are sooo good. Too bad so sad. As was the food.

Really really surprisingly good!!! Get the Wok Fried Green Bean, the Lettuce Cups and DEFINITELY DEFINITELY OMG The AHI TUNA NACHOS!!!! Here.

You won't be sorry!!!!!

Cheers, Mel

And to end this wonderful Mother's Day!!!

I'll leave with one my favourite *RANDOM* SILLI picS from our trip...

Cheers, Mel

:moped:

Awesome Melly! We are leaving next weekend for our sons-and-girlfriends trip and will be staying at AKL. We are set to eat at both Via Napoli and Yak & Yeti, so thanks for getting me psyched up! (Even though I don't really need psyching up...). It looks like you all had a well-deserved fun time.

MG, congrats on your little girl! I am so happy for you and Jen. I know it was a long road for you guys, but I also know it was worth it!

I love all the pictures and your smiling face, Mel. Happy belated Mother's Day to you too!

The SMELL!!!!

Well...the thing is...that's actually you. We've been meaning to tell you. Zzub wanted to, but I won the toss.

Beth was notnotnot *NOT* really pleased with all this type and kind of hijinks... and opted out of the pics.

Has she ever met your crew? Hasn't she been around for a while? Didn't she come with you on this trip? So...this one is kinda on her, isn't it?

He sooooo thinks he should be a furry hat model.

Maybe he and Zzub could get together and make a calendar. Firemen in fuzzy hats and lawyers with fuzzy backs. It practically sells itself.

I'm NOT Bald!!!!!!

I'm almost positive that Mel once urged us to "Hoop De Don't!" And yet, there she is, Hoop De Doing. So, so typical.

You're back! What a surprise.

Or not.

You're like herpes. Which you likely have. Hat tip: Valtrex.

Thanks for the picture of your donkey teeth. When I wake up screaming again tonight, this time it won't be because of the unspeakable horror of November 30, 2013.

Also, it's likely no coincidence that your husband is never smiling in any picture. Res ipsa loquitur and all that.

Yak and Yeti has two of the ZZUB family favorite desserts. Mango pie and the fried wontons. But the Boma dessert that calls for 75 eggs also sounds enticing. We haven't been to Boma in a long time, we might have to give it a whirligig next time we're in WDW. Which will be soon, beeteedubs.

MasterGracie! Good to see you back, and congratulations on your daughter. That's phenomenal news! I know y'all are looking forward to taking her to WDW and she's at a great age to enjoy it. Plus, she's free. Which is what makes her at a great age to enjoy it.

But to clear up: I'm not bald.

:moped:

Hey there ZZUB!!!

Glad to see you! Also so so SO *SO* glad I'm giving you nightmares!!!

As usual.

Heheheheh.

Inter nos. Si fractum non sit, noli id reficere.

I'll be back later.

Cheers, Mel

Edit...

You ARE bald. absit invidia. AI.

:moped:

Also braccae tuae aperiuntur!!

NOW then...MASTER GRACIE...

The guy who effectively ruined the pool all by himself. and. prolly also the hot tub, shower, wet bar and bird/squirrelbath (Master Gracie) sad:

That... I *smell*. Like Animal Kingdom.

Here's the thingie here...tho... it's a GOOD wonderful smell. And... that's what I was getting at. Also. Check Me(l) out. ummmm. Not too closely tho. Gettin' old tfi. Feet are full on brie cheese. A very popular and expensive French cheese beeteedubs (LOLOLOLOL)So...Thanks!!! And yet, I'm sure, it was a cruelish dig. In some way. But pair my feet with dark chocolate, walnuts and pears...you got some good toe flossing moments there. NO Slinddog. That may or may not be tmi and also entirely full on gross. But... coming from another bald guy. Whom I'm not entirely sure is "bald by choice" EITHER (Borg ZZUB borg)... it's OK. Cause I understand your(s) pain.

It's called: Chaetophobia.

And it's why you both have issues with persons of hair.

On their head.

Where hair *IS* supposed to be.

(not being cruel here... just honestly supportive...just *real* heehheheheh)

There are support groups I'm sure. Which are better than Me(l).

actually

not that sure tho about that

But anywho...

SUCK IT!

However, I LOVELOVELOVE the idea of a Calvin and ZZUB calendar. I want Calvin for the New Years Baby one for January. In a diaper. Cause ZZUB is prolly just too comfortable in his "every Saturday Tide Diaper just so he doesn't have to get off the couch too often" Diaper. Although... he can be the Febuary picture one. Usually it'd be a Valentine's cupid in a diaper. But this won't work. Again cause ZZUB is WAY WAY WAY tooo comfortable in adult briefs to have a good game face. ZZUB can be the Groundhog Day picture. For FEBRUARY. He's hairy enuff. And also *that* fussy. Then for Easter...ZZUB all the way.

Bunny ears.

He's real. Cute. In those.

Especially at work.

Fourth of July! Isn't it all about eating hotdogs, AMERICAN CHEESE (? ***?), apple pie, guns, guilty on-line Laura Secord purchases, Grand Funk Railroad and an American Band, Easy Cheese and fireworks??? Again. ZZUB!!! All the hotdogs and apple pie end up with ZZUB's impressive explosive digestive ode to AMERICA! NObathroomsinCanada. Epcot.

Calvin will be both Canadian and American Thanksgiving. October and November. Cause he has feathers.

On his head.

ZZUB with be December. Only because he looks decently good dressed like an elf.

Or as a reindeer.

Cheers, Mel.

edit: ASH!!!! hang on!!!

Hehhehehh.

Cheers, Mel.

P.

Gracie.

That is one beautiful family. I am so so so happy for you and Mistress Gracie and your lucky little lady!!!

:) (I saw the Limburger, Ring Leader and the Cow thing) laffed. Except about the cow reference.

pirate:

your lucky little lady!!!

No...it's definitely us that are lucky...or blessed, actually. She's encumbered by dealing with our...umm...us-ness for the rest of her life. Much like Beth and the Yeti Provocation.

By the way...zoom in on the pic...you'll see that my hair had been cut to this length and is still growing nicely in all the appropriate places. So...by choice. Yul Brenner can feel free to post similar proof of his unbaldness if he so desires, but we all know that he won't so...there's that...

Anybody got a 20 on Layla? We need to get her in here, and Pongo, and Tink, and Frickles, and all the other people that I remember but that my continually failing brain won't bring up the names of...so we can have a full on reunion.

Something of some interest should happen in this thread, after all...

MG, congrats on your little girl! I am so happy for you and Jen. I know it was a long road for you guys, but I also know it was worth it!

Exactly. Ended up taking 5 years, beginning to end and encompassed two countries (besides ours) and double the paperwork and money. God is sovereign, though. He had to delay us long enough for little bit to be born.

Thanks for the congratulations! We're so happy.

Meeeeeellllll

Great photo skills and reporting!!!

And a very happy be-lated Mom's day to you too!!!! It was my Mom's 81st so we spent it having a par-Tay!
So I was off the grid for a bite.

So, you are going to have to take Beth back to complete her drinking around the World. She missed two of my "must see" (NO Stacey) slash "must drink"

Grey Goose or Grand Marinier slush in France and the Gingerita at the Tea Cart in China

I know, so much to drink, so little time.

Love that Calvin carries Beth. What a sweet sister to allow that. My kidlets would end up in a full out brawl if that was attempted in the YAK household

You do not *smell* like Animal Kingdom

Maybe a little like that waterfall Poly smell....but I like that smell.

Ash Zzub is right...Y&Y Mango Pie

Nuff said!

Did I say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the photos!

MG. Many Congrats on your daughter!!
So excited for your first trip to The World with her. So many memories to be made!

Ash - have fun next week! I know you will!

I'll see if I can wrangle up some of the oldies to come over here and stop by

Staying tuned for the next instalment.

Mel.

I had to come back to say this

Mel sad: "Our lunch at the "Yak and Alex" was pretty darn good. Prolly one of our top three of the trip. The quantity of the portions were darn good for theprice and the food was really really tasty."

Of course it was.

It was Alex and my place!

Yak & Alex

Heh-heh

I'm dreaming of Mango Pie now

Uuuummm

Almost as good as Taylor's Scones.

Not to be confuzzled with Taylor's Swifts

But I digress

Sent out the bat signal. We'll see. Me thinks our neighbours to the south maybe were engrossed in the WVirginia primaries. (Hi Sher!).

They've been warned!

Now git posting more of your pho-toes
