Hi all,

We closed about 10 days ago at OKW. We hadn't planned on going home until late 2002 or early 2003...that is, until yesterday! When I saw the post about the special on the 7 day cruise, I asked my DH if he'd like to go THIS year. Surprisingly (since he is a thinker and often takes a while to make decisions) he said yes! So then I suggested tacking on a week at OKW either before or after the cruise. He said yes again!

So, member services was called today and me, my DS (and possibly a friend), and DH are on the December 1st cruise, and at OKW from the 8th-15th. Can we say HAPPY GIRL!?! We are going to try and switch to the BWV later on (though from what I'm reading that may be difficult) just because we LOVE the Boardwalk area so much.

We visited WDW in December 2000 (first time during the Christmas season) and just LOVED all the special events for the holidays. I had NO idea we'd be going at Christmastime again so soon. THIS IS SOOOOOO KEWL!

Congratulations! Your plans sound wonderful! Like you we are going back to WDW in Dec. but the next week. We haven't been at Christmas time since 96, so we are really looking forward to all the holiday happenings!

Good for you Jane. Nothing beats WDW at Christmas. We'll be there on Thanksgiving for 12 days. As for the cruise, enjoy that as well. We just did the 3 night for the first time and it was a blast. I can imaging the 7 day being great as well.

We've gone the first or second week of December the past 3 years, last year at BWV. We love the Christmas activities and the parks aren't too crowded! You will love it! Welcome Home!

My DH (who really is pretty unexcitable) is more excited than my son or me. He can't believe we're going on a cruise...and is already checking out all teh cruise websites

I told him tonight to settle down....we're still 9 months away (ie...the length of a pregnancy). Boy, that shut him up fast!

good when are you going to be at OKW, and have you though about staying at the VWL they are decorated at Christmas time. easy access to the MK for MVMCP.

That sounds awesome. I am getting excited about the cruise special, I just can't get my DW to switch our ressies for 10 days in BWV in early Sept. to the week long cruise. Maybe next year. Going to Disney around the Christmas season is the best, esp the first 2 weeks of Dec.. Low crowds (except maybe the weekends) and the decorations are all up. We have been going during that time for years, whether it be a day trip (we live an hour and a quarter away) or spending 3 or 4 days on site. Have an awesome time and Welcome Home!

Isn't DVC great. Even if you don't get into the BW area, you'll love OKW. What a wonderful Christmas present.

Christmas time at WDW is the best time of the year. I hope you enjoy the cruise, we are going on our first TEST cruise in Jan. 2002. I was talked into it because I'm the chicken in the family when it comes to taking the cruise trips. This will be my first. Let us all know how the trip goes, I will be looking forward to your post.
Welcome Home again, OKW is great and it does feel like home when you step in the door.

SoExcited, there is a thread here on the DVC board about the fall cruise special. They have really reduced the number of points for cruising in September through December for this year. Wish I had enough vacation time to take one myself.
