So have you stayed at this resort? Please give me your reviews,Thanks, gina

Hi -- we live about an hour from the Grove Park and actually spent the first night of our honeymoon there (on our way to Disney World).

The Grove Park is a grand old hotel. The location is stunning, and the hotel is quite beautiful. Like any old hotel, the rooms have their quirks. If you're comfortable an older hotel, you'll love it -- because it's a grand resort.

The Sunday brunch is also incredible.

I recommend it -- hope you have a great stay.

I stayed there last year for a conference ANd it was very nice.

One warning... the BEAUTIFUL pool you will see advertised on their web site is NOT included in your stay. It costs extra!!!! I felt like that was a real rip off... they claim it's part of the "spa", but considering the free pool is not at all nice and they have adds all over for the grotto pool it's very misleading.

Place is HUGE.... we got lost there just trying to find parking! We gave up!

Based on comments from trusted spa lovers, their spa experience is to die for ...quite expensive but apparently well worth the splurge. Rooms are hit and miss, depending on where you are assigned. Richmond Hill Inn or The Inn at Biltmore would be worth looking into if a spa is not your main draw. Asheville is a lovely, kind of quirky town and certainly a great place to visit (we used to live there). Best of luck with planning!

A beautiful, grand old place, but don't be surprised to see two little girls riding their tri-cycles down the hall. Redrum! Redrum!

I've stayed there many times over the last 20 years and very much enjoy it. The rates have gone up alot since they built the spa and it isn't the same quiet rather laid back place and I miss that.

The rooms in the wings are bigger and newer than in the old center section of the hotel, but not as charming.

Asheville is a very cool town with so much to do.. lots of great restaurants. Try Early Girl and Tupelo Honey downtown.

Asheville is a eating haven...Doc Chey's Noodle House and Stick House grille are also to die for. The Grove Park Inn is nice - but, yes, it's somewhat hit or miss.

We are only about an hour and a half away and my DH and I went there for my college graduation gift. We did the whole nine yards with a couples massage. Our room was great. The bed was the most comfortable bed ever. And the view was amazing!! The spa was so great. We had a great time and will certainly be going again in the future. If not going through DVC, you can get some off season great rates. We also went downtown and there are so many neat shops and places to eat. I think we stayed on the third floor but the layout is a little confusing esp. when getting on the elevator . You actually go down from the lobby ( I think). It was something like that. I got lost anyway, but that doesn't take too much.

You will have a great time I feel.
