The Grosvenor??

Those of you who have stayed at the Grosvenor..what did you think? We are looking to possibly stay there 1 night before our official resort stay begins.

We want to be within a short walk to DTD. Is this hotel closer than the others? It looks that way.

Anyway..let me know what you think. We just want a standard room.

We stayed there some time ago - maybe 2003, I think. So probably someone has more recent info, and I think they renovated since we stayed there.

For us, I don't think I'd choose to stay an entire vacation there, but for one night it would be fine. I'd do it again.

Yes it was the closest to DTD , as I recall (except maybe the Hilton, I think it was across the street - and costs quite a bit more.) The view from just outside our room was pretty nice. But any of the resorts are a little bit of a walk to DTD, just because of the lay out of the area. I know we thought it would be nothing to walk, but then when we did it, it was farther than we thought, doable though.

I should tell that we ended up there after a huge blizzard left us stranded in Orlando. It was really hard to be stuck at WDW for two extra nights... Especially since the storm was SO bad that work was canceled for both DH and me. Most of the trip we had stayed at CBR, so the grosvenor (off property) was a little bit of a down grade, but quite tolerable. Normally with a trip, if I'm going to transfer resorts, I prefer to upgrade as we go.
