The kids loved the flower pool but it seemed that they kept having to close it due to unfortunate accidents happening in the pool. Other than that it was good. You do get what you pay for.

May I ask what the "unfortunate accidents" were? That kinda freaked me out lol

The unfortunate accident of kids pooping in the pool happen all the time, no matter which resort you choose (at any price point.)

Well, if that's all she meant by "unfortunate accidents", I feel a whole lot better! I had visions of bad lifeguarding and near-drownings when I read her post :scared1:

And yes, people really need to remember to double-diaper (swim diaper AND secondary bathing suit barrier) in consideration of others. When my boys were small, no way would I have let them swim in a pool without them wearing both the swim diaper and the bathing suit barrier :sad2:

Does anyone know if the Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars are available for purchase anywhere at Pop? I forgot to look for them last time I was there, and I'd love to get one when I check in. TIA!

There was a freezer with a glass sliding top in the food court. It had Mickey bars and other frozen treats. It was over by the bakery items.
Happy planning! :wizard:

All values & mods only give you the shampoo/conditioner combo, body bar, and facial bar. Even the Deluxes vary on what you get - one resort gave me lotion, and another gave me body gel, but I did not get both amenities.

Thanks for confirming! I remember getting shower gel at least once when I stayed at CSR last year, and there was moisturizer too. I guess it varies from resort to resort, at different price points. I've also found, during a recent non-Disney trip, that if you get a really great housekeeper, she will leave you all sorts of goodies. I came home with a grocery bag full of Bath & Body Works products after a 4-night stay in Halifax, NS. It was lovely since we don't have B&BW here.

Does anyone have pictures of the bathrooms in the HA king rooms at Pop? I have found diagrams but not real pictures. Thanks!

 Here you go - this is from the DisAbilities Board - it's a thread about accessible rooms at different resorts. Post #19 is photos of a POP HC bathroom & room - not the best photos, but might find more if you read through the thread. Also read post #22.

Hope this helps! :) Have a wonderful trip! :goodvibes

You're welcome!

Kimberly, what a great idea to add the link to the first page. :) Hope it will be helpful to many future POP guests.

Thanks!

Question here! We are staying at POP for the first time next month and I definitely dont want a preferred room. We would like a quieter room. We were booked in the 60's building, but changed to the 50's now.

My quesiton is, what is the best location in the 50's building? I dont mind having to walk a little bit to get anywhere. I would just like the least possible amount of traffic and noise. Now, I know there will be traffic and noise anywhere, but if there is a quieter spot, someone please let me know!

We had one while we were there too. The closed it just for the evening. My DD was so unhappy and cried. We could've went to one of the other pools but it was getting late anyways. I think they are the younger kids who have little poo accidents. I guess this happens ALOT! The bar tender told my DH it happend 4 times one day while she was on shift.
don't be freaked out. Those pools have so many chemicals in them you aren't going to get anything.

I really don;t think these are daiper aged kids. From what the bartender wastelling DH that alot of kids are 3-6 YO age, all potty trained. But swimming seems to make some kids have to "go" and they are too busy to stop and do it. Just a part of nature and nothing that can be done about it. I don't think most would put their potty trained kids in a swimdiaper.
It's not a pleasant thing to happen, but it does. No need to ridcuel others, as those of us with kids have probalby had some sort of accindent here or there in raising them. (knock on wood now, since my youngest hasn't!)

Oh no, no offense (or ridicule) meant :flower3: I'm far too familiar with potty accidents - buying new mattresses was expensive for a long time LOL I meant that those who do not double-diaper their non-fully-potty-trained children are being inconsiderate of others in the pool kwim? I hope that's clearer than my other post because I did not mean to offend anyone :goodvibes

Wow thanks so much! I just booked my first stay at POP, and this answered a ton of questions I had, and ones I didn't know I had! Definitely subbing.

If I bring my own oatmeal, will the food court give me a spoon and bowl to use? I assume also there is always hot water for people who want to make tea.

thanks

I chose 50's lake view 4th floor and it was very quiet. I know that I had neighbors all around because I saw the window decorations. I never heard a peep from anyone. I stayed in the jukebox building. I think the key to quiet is 4th floor lake view.
