Quick Question....is the bridge over Hourglass Lake closed off or can you walk over it? I know the other side of the resort is not finished so I just wondered how they sectioned this off.

It is closed off. They even have trees there.

If anyone is going in the next 6 months and is interested in a fridge swap, check out the budget boards! We have a newer swap (anyone want to start a new fridge swap for pop?) with many dates filled but July is open! There are also some upcoming dates available! PM me if you cannot locate the swap with your dates available:)

wow! jenseib, MichelleVW, disneydreamgirl, tiggerbabe32...sounds like the DISers will be well represented!

Got a question. Friends of ours are going down to Pop and are arriving on April 20. We are arriving on April 20. When they get down there, they will be giving us a call with their room number. My question is, if I fax a request to be near them on the 17th, will Disney be able to put us close?

We would love to be on the same floor as them, but I would at least like to be in the same building.

Thanks.

I'm not sure if this can be done, but can you call and have your ressie conected.

If you can I'm sure Disney will work with you. It's worth a shot to give Central Res. a call and find out.

Good luck.

Just call CRO and ask to have your reservation cross referenced with your friends reservation they will put you as close as they can. You can even ask for adjoining or connecting rooms if you want.

If you booked through a travel agent, have your agent do it for you.

Thanks to everyone for all this great info. It sure has made choosing POP much easier!

:cool1: Staying at POP May 13-16th for Flower and Garden festival.:thumbsup2

I apologize if this has been asked before but I was wondering if anyone know what buildings would be closer to the bus stops that aren't considered preferred. When I booked my Vacation Package that week no Preferred Rooms were available for Pop. Hope that isn't a bad sign in regards to crowd levels. I called Disney to request a room as close to the bus stops as possible, but is there any other specific requests that I should ask for, are some locations better than others?
Hopefully someone will have some advice for this, I also just realized that my trip falls on Mother's Day weekend, should I expect the parks to be extra busy or extra slow that weekend/day?

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=17643531&postcount=2 Try this map...it will help you see where the preferred rooms are at and the closest to the bus stops.

We were at WDW last year over Mother's day...it was wonderful...10-20 minute waits, nice weather (very little rain, low humidity)...overall the best trip to WDW we have ever taken...we were even at MK Mother's day...I expected it to be very crowded but it was slightly more crowded than the rest of the week, but still only 25-30 minute waits on the major attractions and that was not a big deal with fast-pass...have fun! Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have.

The Bus Stops are located on the other side to entrance to classic halland if the 90's aren't preferred they look fairly close on my Pop mapalso parts of 70'sThe 50's and 60's are closer to classic hall..The 50's non preferred is definalely not close. Nothing is really that far. I'm sure there's a map somewhere on this thread that would show you better. Remember close to buses isn't close to classic hall !!

If you haven't already, check out Post #1. You'll find maps showing the bus stop location as well as identification of which rooms are preferred.

Additionally, there is a list of some things that many include on their reservation wish list that may or may not apply to you.

Enjoy!

Thanks for that link, it definetly seems like rooms 9101-9472 will be my best bets.........hopefully that's where I'll get placed.

I went on Motherday day twice and both times were fairly slow compared to other times, But that has been about 10 years or so ago.
