Does anyone know if I can still use the mugs from 2009 at POP. I was able to use them last year because they were the same mugs (and I saw some people using mugs from 5 years ago)

Not supposed to .....I wouldn't. Length of stay only. You could get away with it if the mugs were the same, but I would feel guilty if I did it!

Just a warning, this is a very TOUCHY subject and people get down right mean about it. Technically, the mugs are for length of stay, so even if you go again this year, your are "not" supposed to reuse them. Also the mugs have changed again already this year from earlier on. New colors. I personally wouldn't go in using a completely different mug. You are likely to get some odd looks, and I have even heard of people being a bit harassed by the die hards. If this is something you are planning on doing, I would keep it to yourself and not ask this question ever again....LOL! Because like I said, many people get very nasty about this subject.

Hmmmm...we must have just lucked out. I know it was one of the last meals (possibly *the* last) we ate at Pop that week and my 6 yo started to get upset when she heard her older brother and sister (both Disney "adults") tell the cashier that they were having ice cream sundaes for dessert. Maybe the cashier was feeling generous or just trying to spread some magic, but she looked at me and said, "If she doesn't want the dessert that comes with her meal, she can pick any other dessert and I'll put the pudding back." So she had an ice cream sundae that night. I guess I just assumed that it was ok to make that substitution any time -- at least at Pop. We learned very quickly that there don't seem to be any hard and fast rules with the QSDP -- some locations allowed substitutions and others didn't. If someone wasn't happy with the standard options on the menu, we always asked what could be substituted and I would say that 90% of the time we were given several options for substitutions but that other 10% were flat out "no substitutions" (usually when asking if we could substitute a bottled drink for a dessert since we aren't big dessert eaters). I really think it depends on the CM and how the stars are aligning that day/night. It never hurts to ask.

You are absolutely correct...they do make exceptions. It was our last day, and I thought I had 1 adult credit left for QS. I ordered and adult meal, and my DD6 didn't want any more chicken nuggets..so I ordered here an Adult meal (chkn tenders lol). The cashier informed me that I had 2 QS meals (1 Adult and 1 child) and rang the adult chkn tenders in as kids nuggets. So, there is some level of give here. I must say that the cashiers were very helpful!

Actually they cannot tell what the QS meals are. They are all tallied the same, but if there are only 2 of you on the card, one adult, one child, and you go up at the same time, they are supposed to only ring it in that way. Which is really dumb. Sometimes we get a childs meal during the day and in the evening get a couple of adult meals to share, but if they are on the "ball" they are only supposed to let us get 2 adults and 1 child, not 3 adults, even though we may have used it already. It's very confusing, I know.

We're almost there!

Left home @2:50 am and arrived in Kennesaw, GA (and checked-in to hotel) by 6:30 pm.

One more good night sleep, then 8 hrs to POP!

Is Pop wireless? if not can we get internet anywhere there?

I love this site you get all the info you need

This time next Friday I'll be boarding a plane at BWI headed to MCO and Pop. & short days left!!:cool1:

Does anyone remember which thread someone posted all those awesome pics of the Pop food court and signs in? I looked in the Pop picture thread and I scanned this thread kind of briefly, but can't find the pictures. I looked in the first post on this thread as well hoping to find a link to it, but didn't see it. I can't even remember exactly when they were posted either, which of couse didn't help in my search efforts. Can anyone point me in the right direction? THX!

Did online check-in last night ( I was afraid we would lose power when Irene hits & wouldn't be able to! ) Can't believe we are in single digits!! If I could just get past my anxiety over Irene & the damage she may cause then I could get on with my packing !!

No wireless and you have to pay for internet as well. I beleive it's $10 a day (24 hour period)

I think the only time it's not a cost to you at any resort is if your a DVC member.

Correct. And they have been testing wifi at some places. I know Coronado Springs was testing free wifi for it's guests in certain buildings while we wer there last week. We talked about this at the agent program and they understand that Disney is behind the times, when everywhere else offers wifi, and most places for free.

Hi, POP Fans,

We are getting the new thread ready to put up, it will have a new look this year.:thumbsup2

In the meantime, because each thread has a page limit, if we could keep the chat to only questions/replies or reviews for now that would be very helpful.:goodvibes

Thanks much - will post the new link soon.:)

THank you so much for this thread. We are new to the Values and certainly to Pop! I have always been drawn to this resort though and can't wait to stay here in February. Are the Pop jets on if the air temp is cold? Our last few trips have been in May and we always drive so luggage is never an issue. This time flying + unpredictable February weather has me nervous.

It has been quite some time since anyone has reported the Pop jets being on, unfortunately, regardless of weather. It seems they've been down all of 2011 at least, and for parts of 2010 as well. :sad2:

Was able yesterday to the new FD offer and spend a extra day at Pop instead of staying 1 night off resort. Can't wait. Going to be great for my niece and nephew now since we don't have to wait to see the "Walt Disney World" signs.
