I'd love to hear more about the pool parties. What time were they at? I assume they're at the Hippy Dippy Pool? Thanks

The parties were pretty much weather dependent. The "annimation team" were usually out about 1:00 - 5:00. Lots of music, music games, trivia, pool games, TShirt games, lots of activities to keep all engaged.

The Movie was also pool side (Hippy Dippy) in the grass outside the Food Court. I recall it was about 8:30 ish.

I'm thrilled to hear about this also! We booked ASMu last year specifically for all the pool activities but the kids wanted to go back to Pop this year. They'll be so excited about the pool games/music/movie :yay:

2. Food Court - Ehhhh, it's a food court. It was OK. Enjoyed the salads, Penne Pasta/Chicken. Daughter liked the Adult version of Ckn Nuggets & Pizza. Yes, the cheesecake , cupcakes & giant cookies are delish. Cashiers very helpful.
However, it's the people dining there that irritated me! I mean seriously....to the family of 8 that left opened syrup on the service counters along with sugar wrappers and your spilled coffee everywhere....dont' worry. I accept your apology and the coffee was able to wash out of my clothes. I am sure that the ugly look you gave me, was some sort of any apology :confused3

I have to agree with people and their dining habits irritate me soooo bad, at any level of resort. I often wonder what their homes look like:scared1:
During our trip in 2007, we visited the Grand Floridian, to check out the Christmas decorations, we had gone over to the food court to grab a cup of coffee while we were there. There were 2 couples that had just bought breakfast and were over at the station that offers the condiments. One woman proceedes to add her cream and just lay her dirty spoon and empty creamer container on the counter. Then she drips her coffee on the counter and walks away, as she is walking away the man in the other party says "ma'am, ma'am", the woman turns around and the man says "I don't think you brought your butler or maid with you on this trip since your mess is still laying there, so if you could clean up behind yourself while you are here we would all appreciate it!!!":lmao: it was priceless.

This reminds me of the first year we stayed at pop. Some family let there family just throw or leave spagatti all over the place at the pool. It was underneath the table. We aren't talking a toddlers mess either. It was really gross how some people do these things. There was at least 2 or 3 meals under the table on it. I felt bad for the poor person that had to clean up after that.

If on the QSDP, are children allowed a sundae at POP as their dessert? Or do they get the standard cookie?

I'm staying at POP Friday, Saturday, checking out Sunday.

Does that mean that parking at the Parks is included everyday that I'm there, including the day I check out?

We were on the QSDP in June and my 6yo DD was allowed to choose from all of the same dessert options at Pop that adults had, including a sundae.

Thanks this is good to know we are on the QSDP again. Last year I just guessed it was the cookie or grapes. :)

Have a great trip. WE leave in 3 days but it has been a roller coaster with the hurricane and everything. We were suppose to leave late Saturday so we changed our flights this morning to leave first thing. I was sort of waiting til the last minute to see what was going to happen. Then we had to book a Stay, park and fly hotel for Friday night beacuse we are a couple of hours away from the airport and getting up a 1 am to get to the airport didn't seem appeal to anyone.

We didn't have the same experience this past May/June. The kiddos definately had to get the kids dessert options (cookie, jello or pudding) with the kids meals. They were not allowed to get any dessert option with their meals. The good news is the sundaes are HUGE so getting the 2 with the adults meals gave us MORE than enough to share between the 4 of us.

Interesting... Us too. We just returned on Monday. My daughter also was only entitled to the grapes/pudding etc... No bakery items, I was told they were for the adult entitlement. I usually just split a huge cookie or cupcake with her anyway. Way tooo much food!

Thanks that is what I sort of thought when I read the above post. But things change. I won't need it anyway. My kids get my desert most of the time anyway. If I really want one I just use a snack credit.

Hmmmm...we must have just lucked out. I know it was one of the last meals (possibly *the* last) we ate at Pop that week and my 6 yo started to get upset when she heard her older brother and sister (both Disney "adults") tell the cashier that they were having ice cream sundaes for dessert. Maybe the cashier was feeling generous or just trying to spread some magic, but she looked at me and said, "If she doesn't want the dessert that comes with her meal, she can pick any other dessert and I'll put the pudding back." So she had an ice cream sundae that night. I guess I just assumed that it was ok to make that substitution any time -- at least at Pop. We learned very quickly that there don't seem to be any hard and fast rules with the QSDP -- some locations allowed substitutions and others didn't. If someone wasn't happy with the standard options on the menu, we always asked what could be substituted and I would say that 90% of the time we were given several options for substitutions but that other 10% were flat out "no substitutions" (usually when asking if we could substitute a bottled drink for a dessert since we aren't big dessert eaters). I really think it depends on the CM and how the stars are aligning that day/night. It never hurts to ask.

Does anyone know if I can still use the mugs from 2009 at POP. I was able to use them last year because they were the same mugs (and I saw some people using mugs from 5 years ago)
