So today I told my husband there are 4 value resorts at WDW. I said we can look online together at some point and decide which one we want to stay at for sure. He said, "I want to stay at the least popular." Basically because it would potentially be the quietest.

I don't think POP is the least popular, is it?
Which hotel have you heard it the last popular of the values? Why?
Do you think the least popular hotel is the quietest?

If I had to guess, I'd say ASMu is probably the most "un-popular" and quietest. I'm just guessing, as I've never stayed there, but I would assume it would attract the least amount of kids, but honestly I don't think it'll make that much of a difference. We've stayed at ASMo and never had a problem, but we really weren't there that much, and I have 2 of those noisy kids:rotfl: I'm thinking the location of your room at any of the values will probably have more of an affect as to how noisy it is, so maybe just try to get a room as far away from the pools and main building as possible. Good luck to you!

Well I have less than 48 hours till we are checked in to POP. I'm packing and can't believe we're finally ready to go. How much luggage do you usually have? For me, Dh, and DD 2years old. We have 2 large, 2 medium suitcases, one small carry on duffle bag, Dh back pack carry on, and medium/large canvas tote carryon for me(from previous trip to Disney:lovestruc ). goosh it seems like alot!! please tell me I didn't over do it. We usually travel with a bunch of family and this trip it's just us (finally) But I feel like I needed to pack more for all those just in case and not having a car has really freaked me out cause EVERY trip I've ever taken I end up at Walmart or some drug store cause I forgot something. am I neurotic or what?!!

one more question from the crazy over packer... i ordered a gallon of milk from garden grocer and have this feeling it's going to take up too much room in the mini rental fridge. Should I change my order to a 1/2 gallon and buy another 1/2 gallon at the resort later in the week if needed? WWYD?

They sell milk at the resort? Do they by any chance sell cereal?

LOL Well, it does sound like a bit much for just three people...but....we try very hard to pack less.

The way to pack, so so "they" say ;) is to pack then take away half of what you've packed! Don't know about that....;)

For three, we would have one large suitcase to share and one small one for the little one. One small carry on and my bag with books, coloring etc.

Of course, we do not carry a back pack in the parks (drives me nuts every time someone hits me in the head on the bus or in line), so that's one less item.

You must do what makes you comfortable, so just pack away and have a FANTASTIC trip!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Hi Midge....yes, they do. They sell the small individual containers that can be used as bowls. They have a few of the popular Kelloggs cereals.

Doesn't sound like too much luggage to me. We usually have one huge suitcase for my husband's clothes and all of our underclothes. A medium suitcase for me and a medium suitcase for our son. Since we drive and stop overnight, I pack nightclothes and a change of clothes in a small duffle bag. I also pack all of our toiletries and my husband's meds. in a medium duffle bag. That way, when we stop for the night all I have to take out is the small and medium duffle bags. We also have a backpack for our son's car trip stuff.....PSP, games, portable DVD player, etc. etc. Then, we have a backpack for our camera, camcorder, batteries, "extras", etc. etc. etc. Oh yeah, I also have a large clear handled bag that has all our shoes in it. Every time somebody makes a comment about how much stuff we take, I tell them our trip is 11 days long and I am NOT washing clothes while on vacation!

Have a safe and fantastic trip. Come back with lots of pictures and a trip report. I've said it before and I'll say it again......those two things are what get me through to our next WDW vacation!

So excited...we'll be there in just three weeks. Just wondering...How impossible would it be to get from ASMO to Pop? We have friends staying over at ASMO and would like to get together for an afternoon.

To get from Pop to ASMo, you would take a bus to any theme park or Downtown Disney and then transfer to the ASMo bus.

3 weeks will be here before you know it!!! Have a blast!!

Actually, that's what I'd do. When we stayed at the cabins we bought a 1/2 gal. and didn't even use all of it. We thought we'd be eating a lot more than we did. I was really glad we hadn't wasted a gallon.
And yes, it would take up a bunch of room in the fridge.

Happy planning! :wizard:

I packed a ton for our trip to WDW last year. I'm always an overpacker. We had one large(ish) suitcase for my husband. Two medium(ish) suitcases for me. One carryon for him. Two carryons (one super small wheelie case and one small backpack) for me.

However, on our last trip to Disneyland I just had one medium suitcase and one carryon. I'm getting better! Haha. And I actually used EVERYTHING I brought to California last time, so that's good.

Hopefully I can do the same for our next WDW trip. But it's tricky with January weather.

If I took away half of what I pack, I wouldn't have enough shirts/socks/underwear/etc. Haha.

Does a half gallon of milk fit in the rental fridge? Would there still be room for bottles of water? Is the cereal at everything pop super expensive?

Last time we went to WDW we ate at the food court every morning and it really took a lot of time. So we're trying to figure out other options this time around.

Just a thought: how long would that route take vs taking a cab?... and how much would a cab cost POP to ASMo?

I used to say I would never do laundry on vacation, but now I find it's so much nicer to pack less and just wash. It takes hardly anytime, and I am always up earlier than my family, so I put the wash in, walke around and take pics, or eat breakfast...whatever, then through it in the dryer and do some more of the same. I did try to put some in one night and it was packed, but mornings were fine.

I have to agree. LOL
Even if we HAD enough pairs of shorts for our whole trip,
which we don't,
There are nine of us.
I am NOT hauling a week's worth of clothes for nine people to WDW.
Laundry there isn't a big deal.
I pack enough for 4 days and wash when I need to.

I think this trip I'll try to do more early morning or mid-afternoon (while the littles nap.)
It can be packed in the laundry room later at night.

We take three suitcases and a carryon. Thankfully we drive! LOL

I typically only pack two pairs of jeans and then wear a third pair. I just rewear them throught the trip. I've never worn a pair of jeans just for one day and washed them (unless I spill on them or something.) so that cuts down on some luggage.
