I will be there in TWO DAYS!!!!:dance3: :woohoo:

I am going NUTS........Thursday can't get here soon enough:banana:

So, if I ask for a quiet room with a view of the lake, is there any way I will be put close to the bus stop? We are paying for a standard and don't really care about distance from the pool or food court. It's really more about keeping it simple when the kids are tired at the end of the night!

It seems like there aren't huge differences between the distances from each building to the bus stop according to the calculations on the first post, but I wanted to get as much info as possible!

Hmm, quiet and view of the lake would not really put you near the bus stop...

Might be a good idea to check out the POP map and see which area you think might like and request that....lots of lake view rooms are in the 50's bldgs 2 & 3 and 60's bldg 4 & 5, but also in 70's and 80's (have not stayed in these but there are some reviews and you can see them on the map).

Good luck and have a great trip! :goodvibes

p.s the farthest room we had was 2456 on the back of bldg 2 and it was about 5/6 mins stroll to the bus/food court/ Everything POP.

Oh, that's not bad at all. The way some people talk you would think it's quite a hike! :rotfl:

We can definitely handle that. I'm more interested in having a quite lakeview building than anything else. Need a place to relax a little at the end of the day!

I'd suggest, with little ones, requesting bldg 4 lake side - those rooms used to be preferred, but are not std and a great location. From some you get a great view of the top of IllumiNations and sometimes even Wishes in the distance. It's a not a bad walk at all!

Some guests will disagree with my 5/6 min wwalk, but it truly did not take us any longer and we stroll! :goodvibes

So I am typing up my room controller request (need something to pass the time!) and I was looking at maps, etc. I know I want to stay in the 80's...facing the computer pool if possible.

Anyone have pictures taken of the 80's/90's section?

And how is the walk to the busses? Did you cut through the parking lot?

I hope you receive answers and pics too as I was wondering about this section as well.

For all you guys who are coming to the most Magical Place on Earth, check the weather forecast. The next few days are to be chilly... for FL standards!

We're leaving tomorrow night!! Can't wait to get back "home" to Pop!!!

We are packing bluejeans and short sleeves with light jackets and gloves. You guys think that'll be ok?

We will be there that same week! Maybe we'll see you there! Or maybe we won't. Anyway...I plan on decorating my window. Look for Musclemouse! :thumbsup2

WAHOOOOO.....:cool1:  :cheer2: We will be ther during pop warner week 12/7-12/13. Cya all there.

We were planning on staying at Pop Century for the first time in August, 2008 but when the buy 4/get 3 free promo came out we booked for 10 days beginning May 21st. Well, my daughter called and said she was getting to come home from missionary work during that same time period. So, I am now scheduled for May 28th through June 6, 2008.

My main concern is the bus situation. We normally stay at CBR and are used to several different bus stops. I know there is only one at Pop and other posters were nice enough to share their August experiences with me.

Any of you out there who have stayed at Pop during the end of May/first of June? How were the crowds and buses?

The lines for buses are just fine at POP. You only stand in the line for the one park's bus you want - and you can see each line all in one area. So if you're going to MK, you stand near the sign for MK. If going to AK, then you stand near that sign. At CSR and CBR you don't know which bus is coming to your stop - you need to watch each bus pull up and check its sign.

End of May is our usual time. Never had problems waiting for bus.

We stayed @Pop 5/19/07-5/29/07 and didn't have any problems with busses. A couple of mornings we had breakfast ADRs before the parks opened. Crowds weren't particularly bad but we did make judicious use of Fast Passes! :surfweb:

check out the weather forecast. Here are some local news station sites:

This morning it was 41 here and only supposed to warm up to 61 today. For FL weather, thats COLD!!!! The next few days should be around 65 for the high and by the weekend back to around 70. Nightly lows around 45-50.

Thanks so much for all this helpful information and advice everyone! DS and I will be going in May and neither of us have ever been before. I booked last night for the POP and I am trying to get everything together so I kind of know what to expect :)

Hey there!! I'm sure you'll have an amazing time. I'll be at POP in January too! This thread definitely seems to be the go-to one to get all your ducks in order. This will be my 10th time and I've found this thread indisposable, especially since it's my first time at POP.

Is anyone else going in the early part of March? The 6-13 are our dates and I'm trying to figure out if it is going to be busy then or not? Any insight?
