The Great Movie Ride | Love it, hate it or update it? | Hollywood Studios - 11/7

Best parts are Alien and Wizard of Oz.
I wouldn't mind if the attraction went away.

Maybe some sort of revamp?

It wouldn't bother me if it went away also. Too many scenes are static and feel like a wax or history museum. many of the scenes are really well done though it's just not consistent and those inconsistent ones I wouldn't mind seeing changed, but I think I would prefer something new.. but not cheesy new, it needs to be really immersive.

I think that is a good point that the inconsistency makes the weaker elements stand out even more. At the time the Wicked Witch was the most advanced animatronic they ever made but then you compare that to Tarzan or even Sigourney Weaver it makes their lack of movement stand out even more

It used to be my favorite attraction. Now it does feel quite dated. Wax figures in a history museum is spot on. I'd love to see it updated. I had hoped with the Turner refurb it would be so much more than a new film reel at the beginning and a voice over narration.
I do still love the film montage at the end.

I am a sucker for the classics at Disney. I also understand the need to add new experiences. I wish there could be a way to keep the old, and add on as well.

Fix it up; The animatronics look like they were made at the same time as Walt himself was making the Carousel of Progress.

Update.

Completely overhaul the interaction between the gangster and the guide. Even with the best CM's in those roles, it's schlocky and poorly-written.

Also, refresh my memory....is there any section about Hitchcock films on the ride? If not, that's a genre that should be added(in a way that won't freak out the kiddos). Completely revolutionized film-making.

I love the first seconds of the attraction as you go through that neon tunnel. And I love the montage at the end. And I love the Chinese Theatre in general, so I don't want the attraction to go away....I just want it to get better.

Definitely update it. And it needs to be more cohesive - I always found the storyline to be very disjointed.
