The grand tour of 3 AKV studios-standard, sav, value review

Value studio - Bed was away from the window, couch was next to window.
Savannah View - Bed next to window.
In the value studio and Savannah studios I had, the configuration was just the opposite. I liked having the bed right next to the window-I could lie in bed and look outside. However, a light sleeper might find it a little noisy.

Do you remeber the value studio room number?
My value studio was #5020. Also, my standard studio was #5436 and my savannah studio was #5377, "by way of Timbuktu"(as my Grandmother used to say) to the elevators.

My last studio was a savannah view, on Arusha savannah. Supposedly, the sink area is bigger, but I didn't notice it-

It seems to me that it would be more useful to have a single sink... and extra counter space. I think that double sinks are mostly "eye candy"... and you actually get more utility by having space to put your stuff.

Maybe the double sink is useful for those who squeeze 11 into a studio. :rotfl2:

I like having two sinks because DH and I always get ready at the same time. We put all of our things on the shelf just below the mirror and only used the vanity for the glass we used to hold our toothbrushes. But with just the two of us, we don't have a lot of stuff. If you had four people sharing the studio it might be a problem.

ETA: What I really missed was having a bit of storage under the sink. Other resorts have a place you can stash a toiletries bag so that it is handy but not taking up counter space. That would also have provided a place to store the hair dryer, rather than having to store it on the shelf in the wardrobe.

I forgot about that-that was really wierd, I thought. I'm hoping that they're planning on having closets in Kidani house. I thought the wardrobe/armoire was really small for more than 1 or 2 people.

If what they build in Kidani matches the model rooms, there will be a small broom closet in the studio that will contain the ironing board and vacuum cleaner:

There will be an armoire/wardrobe for clothes but you will be able to use both sides of it so there will be twice as much hanging space, assuming they put in another clothes pole on the right hand side!

And there will be storage under the vanity for the hairdryer and other things:

:headache: I don't usually unpack and move into drawers - esp. for a quick 3 or 4 n trip... Just another part of my anal side where I can't stand the idea of my stuff being where your stuff was!! Nothing personal BUT.... (Even with the invention of Clorox wipes I can't bring myself to do it!):lmao: But so I was really hoping that I could just set / stack our duffle bags inside that armoire but now I see that it's divided!:sad2: NOOO!!! Grrrrr...
