The Grand Floridian Society Orchestra is no more

Our friends in the arts have been particularly hard hit as we know. I have a few friends in professional music in SoCal (one a DLR 30 year CM) and one at Nashville Symphony, and another an MCO local and former Society Orchestra regular - all largely in limbo. I too will greatly miss the Orchestra and thought the move to the main floor was the beginning of the end. Their platform outside ER remains so perhaps there is hope. ER however is doing a booming business even in their absence. Last night all tables and bar stools occupied @ 5:30 (library room closed) 1, perhaps 2 bartenders and 3 servers.

Support your local artists when you can and remember their typical plight:
”a professional musician is someone who puts $20,000’s worth of equipment in a $500 car to drive to a $50 gig”.

Anyone else see this? Apparently, the elimination of the Orchestra caught others within Disney by surprise.

The latest issue of WDW Magazine arrived. There is a page of underrated entertainment around WDW. And guess, just guess, what was #1?
