The Grand Californian is in California, really?

I called MS today to make a reservation for July at the Villas at the Grand Californian. The person I spoke to at Member Services was all concerned that I was traveling to Florida with my baby in the July heat. I had to correct herseveral times that the Grand Californian is actually in California. Finally she understood that we were going to DisneyLand, not DisneyWorld!

Maybe it was a language barrier, but still...one would think that a job requirement would be to know what state the resorts are located.

language can be a huge issue when calling a customer service department..and duh she really should know that its in california especially since the name say so!!!

Well that almost makes sense! When my whole family stepped into GCV they all said "this reminds me of the WL." The CM at check-in said the architect is the same (and also did the AK).
