Yes lots of good baseball left- tonight is a big night for Boston. Bruins game 7 and Celtics game 6!!

GREAT first day!!!
So can anyone go to the Poly beach for wishes or is this something you reserved???

Just showed Ashton your boys with the characters and asked if he was going to give Donald a hi five and he said no he's to mean (I think that is what he said)...I hope he does not prove his dad right...LOL

Yes anyone can go. It was really nice. We were the ONLY people on the beach and sat on that swing and watched the fireworks- it was SO nice and relaxing. You cant really hear the music from Wishes but it was still really nice.

LOVE it so far! LOVE the picture of you guys with the empty Main Street!

Ok, that picture of Owen seeing Pluto is absolutely priceless!!! Those are the memories, and pictures that are the best! Like the pic I have of Aubrey seeing the castle for the first time. I had planned on Jason going ahead of us to take the pic so I could remember that moment forever. I have it framed on my bedside table

The pics from the beach are great. It just looks like the perfect ending to your first day.

Sorry you had an upleasant first experience with the check in CM. Same thing happened to us at BC. Oh well, I'm sure you forgot about it quickly! Can't wait to hear more!!!

You are so right- you spend all this time planning and we were so lucky to have such a great trip. We made so many good memories. Don't get me wrong... we had some meltdowns too. But what do you expect with two little kids up until midnight and then back up to go to a park all day.
The first night was so special- one of my favorite nights from the whole trip.

Tears again!! I think I get teary because I know that feeling of being so happy, seeing everything through my children's eyes without a care in the world. Looks like a very magical first day.

Aww- thank you!!!! I get teary just thinking about it.... Wayne and I looked at eachother a few times this trip with tears in our eyes watching our kids faces during a ride, or meeting Mickey or at Illuminations.

The phone rings at 6:00AM- It's Stitch with our wake up call! Wayne goes to the food court and fills up the refillable mugs with coffee, while I get the boys dressed. We are SO excited for our first day in the park!!! We are out at the bus stop by6:45AM and dropped off at the gate to the MK at 7:15!!

While in line, we meet Bernadette (LovesDumbo) and her son and chat with them a little before they let us in to get those great pictures of Main Street with no crowds!!!!

We have an 8:00AM reservation at Crystal Palace so we head over there...

We met up with our neighbors and their two daughters for breakfast. Breakfast was so good!!!! The Breakfast Pizza was so yummy. I found it hard to eat though because the characters were coming around so fast, that we spent our entire time, fishing out the autograph books and taking pictures. Myles was in the parade with Winnie, Piglet, Tigger, and Eyeore- it was so cute. They sang Happy Birthday to Daddy and gave him a Birthday cupcake and a card signed by all the characters.

Piglet was the best here! He was so cute and funny and spent a lot of time at our table giving Owen lot's of kisses.

We were out around 9:05 and stopped for Fastpasses for Winnie the Pooh, and then went right to Dumbo!! (We waited about 20 mins to ride it)

After Dumbo, we rode Small World (no wait) and then picked up a fastpass for Peter Pan. We rode Winnie the Pooh (Myles screamed the whole ride- he was afraid of the thunder) and once it was over, he said, "did it Thunder??" He was starting to get overwhelmed and needed a rest. It was SO hot. We walked over to get a water near Haunted Mansion and the wait was 10 mins, so Wayne went on while I got a fan ($15.00) and 2 waters with Mickey Straws - Which were the WORST things ever. They leaked all over the place the entire trip. I wish I had brought a misting fan from home too- because $15.00 was a lot to spend when I have seen them here for $1-$5!! After the break, we went on Peter Pan and then the Teacups, and then headed over to the Plaza for our lunch reservation. It was perfect timing because the Move It, Shake It parade was just starting and we could watch it before heading over to the Plaza.

Owen had fallen asleep, and we asked if we could bring the stroller in so he could sleep, which they said was fine. I was so excited, I thought, "This is great!!! We can have lunch in peace!!!" and then this lady walks in.... (Doesn't it look like Wayne is going to punch her out? )

She was SO LOUD- of course Owen wakes up scared and very tired. He has to sit on me the rest of the lunch so I didn't really get to enjoy it. Well, maybe I enjoyed it a little - here is what we ate...

Ugh...I miss it already.

You neglected to mention that when we got in line for Dumbo, I realized that one of our keys to the world was missing. After I realized that, I ran and searched the ground from Dumbo to Pooh. I went back to the fastpass machine...and looked all around. I made sure I hadn't given it to our neighbors by mistake..I was FREAKING OUT. Did I mention it was like 100 degrees out?

Anyways, I ran over to the fastpass machine again and asked the CM if she had found a card anywhere around there. She went and looked in the box...and asked what the name was on the card. I told her (it was Nickie's)...and she handed it to me. I was so relieved.

You see, I am a big idiot and lose everything...if this wasn't Disney, I am sure that card would have been long gone.

Sorry hun...don't mean to hijack your thread. I hope you don't mind me interjecting.

Gracias. As Nickie said, I wore my button all week because I love attention. And wearing buttons.

It was a really great birthday. Spending it with Nickie and the boys makes it special enough, but spending it with them at Disney World was awesome.

Owen is taking a nap so I thought I could finish off Day 2!

Where was I??? Oh yes.. we left the Magic Kingdom,

and headed back to the hotel for a quick swim and rest, and then off to the Grand Floridian for Dinner at Narcoosees. We had scheduled a photo shoot before dinner, but there just wasn't enough time so we skipped it.

Boys on the bus back to the hotel...

We arrived at the beautiful Grand Floridian around 5:30PM and our dinner reservation was at 6:25PM.

We walked around the grounds, (just so pretty) there were bunnies hopping around everywhere and people seemed so nice there.

We checked in and they seated us early. We had a great dinner. This was Wayne's Birthday dinner and he really enjoyed it. We both agree that this was the best meal of the trip.

The boys were adorable and they were so good. There was a baby at a table near us that was crying and Owen kept saying to the baby , "no cry, it's ok!" He was so cute.

Service was pretty good. Our waitress was really busy and kept saying she was sorry- she was running around a bit and seemed stressed. We didn't feel any stress! We sat and enjoyed the really good coffee and dessert and watched our kids and really felt the Disney Magic-our table was at the window and we could see the Castle in the distance.

After dinner, we walked around a little, walked to the self parking lot (we learned to self park it was really easy and much cheaper than Valet so we did this the rest of the trip! * NOTE: There were NO signs anywhere that said a time limit or no parking and going to the parks. The attendant never mentioned a time limit or anything.)

Back at the hotel, I watched American Idol, and Owen went to sleep while Wayne and Myles went to the arcade to play some games. We got to bed around 10- we were so excited for our next day.

Myles and Owen are so sweet! I love the pic of them hugging (savor that...it does not last long--2006 Gwendolyn talked Dayne into a photo session {for mother's day gift}and they have one hugging*my fav* they both said ewe when I commented); seeing all your meals really makes me sad I did not go w/the DDP (just was not in the budget--this time).

I would say that, while we did love the DDP and who knows what we will end up doing next time, it was A LOT of food. We skipped dessert a few times and were just so full most of the time. I am not saying we won't do it again...but we did discuss doing mostly signature meals for dinner and using it for breakfast, but doing CS for lunch next time. It was really at lunch that it felt like too much food.
