So after lurking reading PTRs and TRs the last few months, I figured its time to start my own.
Let's gets down to business then, shall we?
The What:
The Goobers take on Disney. What's a Goober? No, I don't mean the candy. One of my old coworkers used to call my boys Goobers, and another coworkers nieces Mooks. We have no idea why, but they stuck, and these 6 kids are now forever referred to as Goobers and Mooks. We can all thank Ruby.
That and it's much easier to refer to my gang as one collective name sometimes. My mom hates when I say 'the boys', because "they have names." Just because they have names doesn't mean I always remember them...
Anyways, it's their first trip (about time!) to the World, and they are super-de-duper excited.
The When:
Technically we check in on April 28th and check out on May 4th, but we're taking the train, so we're leaving the day before and getting back home the day after. 'Traintstic' was my 5 year old's response.
The Where:
Art of Animation in the Lion King section. That has been their biggest decision to date. Surprisingly it was their second choice...we couldn't get Nemo on the Spring Special. I'm still trying to figure out how Cars wasn't at the top of their list. Weirdos.
The Who:
Buckle up, this could get bumpy.
First there's me. I'm Carrie and I'm chief cook and bottle washer here. (Ugh, thankfully the bottles are gone). I am the only one in our home that has been to the World. I work part time doing the marketing for my family's repair shop, as well as I'm a sales rep for a hybrid car training company and I sell Thirty One. Oh and I'm class mom at 2 out of 3 classes and I'm a crafter and amateur blogger. And I wonder why I can't sleep
Then there's the man of the house. He's a chef by day (and sometimes night) so he rarely cooks at home. He's never been to Disney and doesn't understand what the big deal is
The goal is to convert him. He's just looking forward to getting away from work.
And going through the million and 5 pictures I have in photobucket, the only pictures I have of either of us are cut off or from in the hospital after kids were born. And I don't know about you, but I did not look all that great...tv tricks you
On to the real reason for the trip...Goobers.
First up there is M.
M just turned 10 and likes Disney, but is super excited to see Star Tours and maybe Jedi Training.
Then there's J.
He's the crazy one. He loves all things Disney and also loves rides, so he's looking forward to going. He'll be 8 a month after we come home, so this is kind of an early birthday gift.
Next up is T.
He's my shy one, but just as crazy as his brothers. He's in between Disney Jr and 'big kid' Disney, but he loves it all. He surprisingly is looking forward to meeting the characters. He turns 6 in 2 weeks, not that he's counting.
Then there's the baby, L.
Ok, so he's no so much a baby anymore. He'll be a month shy of his 2nd birthday when we go. And he is a Disney Jr fanatic. We're excited for the changes to the stage show because he loves Doc and is infatuated with Sofia.
And my middle two are a bit younger in those pics there. I had to look for decent ones because lately they look like this
And they have the little one trying it too!
Next up... Planning, and dining and ressies, oh my!
