So after lurking reading PTRs and TRs the last few months, I figured its time to start my own.

Let's gets down to business then, shall we?

The What:
The Goobers take on Disney. What's a Goober? No, I don't mean the candy. One of my old coworkers used to call my boys Goobers, and another coworkers nieces Mooks. We have no idea why, but they stuck, and these 6 kids are now forever referred to as Goobers and Mooks. We can all thank Ruby.:rotfl: That and it's much easier to refer to my gang as one collective name sometimes. My mom hates when I say 'the boys', because "they have names." Just because they have names doesn't mean I always remember them...:rotfl2:

Anyways, it's their first trip (about time!) to the World, and they are super-de-duper excited.

The When:
Technically we check in on April 28th and check out on May 4th, but we're taking the train, so we're leaving the day before and getting back home the day after. 'Traintstic' was my 5 year old's response.

The Where:
Art of Animation in the Lion King section. That has been their biggest decision to date. Surprisingly it was their second choice...we couldn't get Nemo on the Spring Special. I'm still trying to figure out how Cars wasn't at the top of their list. Weirdos.

The Who:

Buckle up, this could get bumpy.

First there's me. I'm Carrie and I'm chief cook and bottle washer here. (Ugh, thankfully the bottles are gone). I am the only one in our home that has been to the World. I work part time doing the marketing for my family's repair shop, as well as I'm a sales rep for a hybrid car training company and I sell Thirty One. Oh and I'm class mom at 2 out of 3 classes and I'm a crafter and amateur blogger. And I wonder why I can't sleep:surfweb:

Then there's the man of the house. He's a chef by day (and sometimes night) so he rarely cooks at home. He's never been to Disney and doesn't understand what the big deal is :faint: The goal is to convert him. He's just looking forward to getting away from work.

And going through the million and 5 pictures I have in photobucket, the only pictures I have of either of us are cut off or from in the hospital after kids were born. And I don't know about you, but I did not look all that great...tv tricks you ;)

On to the real reason for the trip...Goobers.

First up there is M.

M just turned 10 and likes Disney, but is super excited to see Star Tours and maybe Jedi Training.

Then there's J.

He's the crazy one. He loves all things Disney and also loves rides, so he's looking forward to going. He'll be 8 a month after we come home, so this is kind of an early birthday gift.

Next up is T.

He's my shy one, but just as crazy as his brothers. He's in between Disney Jr and 'big kid' Disney, but he loves it all. He surprisingly is looking forward to meeting the characters. He turns 6 in 2 weeks, not that he's counting.

Then there's the baby, L.

Ok, so he's no so much a baby anymore. He'll be a month shy of his 2nd birthday when we go. And he is a Disney Jr fanatic. We're excited for the changes to the stage show because he loves Doc and is infatuated with Sofia.

And my middle two are a bit younger in those pics there. I had to look for decent ones because lately they look like this:scared:

And they have the little one trying it too!

Next up... Planning, and dining and ressies, oh my!

Hello! Very neat to see your PTR we will be arriving on April 29 and leaving May 3! We are staying at Shades of Green and this was a last minute trip as normally I am planning them for over a year!! This will be our DS's first trip.... He will be 3 in July and like your DH my DH is not the Disney fanatic I am :(

Working on getting the ADRs done...here's what I have so far.

Sunday April 28th...arrival day.

A later dinner at T Rex. Since we are taking Amtrak down and you can never really depend on your arrival time (at least not when I take it around here) I didn't want to get a earlier ressie and then miss it because of the train. We figure that whatever time we get in we'll just spend exploring AOA and then head over to DTD.

Monday April 29th. EPCOT and DHs birthday!

Dinner right now is at Hacienda de San Angel, but DH is debating between there and San Angel Inn...he keeps flip flopping between the menus. He's from Mexico, so the boys want him to "go" to Mexico for his birthday. And he wants one of everything from both restaurants. We may have to go to EPCOT a second day so he can try the other one :lmao:

Tuesday April 30th

Breakfast at the Crystal Palace! I might be looking forward to this the most since I *love* Pooh.

Wednesday May 1st

Breakfast at Chef Mickeys! I'm thinking about changing this to Saturday, and then hit MK for a few hours before we have to leave, but for now, it's here.

Thursday May 2nd

Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine.
Debating on paying for this OOP and using DDP towards a Fantasmic Dinner package, but haven't made up my mind yet. It's a must do for us thou either way because we love Disney Jr, and I'm not sure how much longer the older ones will go along with it happily.

Decisions, decisions :goodvibes

Ous is a last minute one too...I've seriously though about canceling it and waiting until either the fall or next Spring (my youngest has breathing issues and I'm worried that the Florida heat and humidity in the summer will cause problems...we have enough dealing with NY weather), but then that means I have to pull my oldest out of middle school...so for now we're sticking with it. I'm still nervous though
