The Cast:
Me-I love the magic of Disney, even the air is better there!
Dh -AKA- Map Man- loves to plan trips, rarely gets lost, has abnormally strong fingers and is not allowed to push buttons.
DD Lexi -8 AKA Mouth Almighty- Loves Mickey- totally believes with all her heart in the characters and the magic of Disney.
Grandma -my mom- in her 70s she is in great shape and can keep up with anyone but has trouble seeing. Has been on many WDW trips with us. Is staying in Fl. after this trip until we come back in May to pick her up.
Nanny- Dhs mom- in her 50s (she started a lot sooner than my mom) never been to WDW or traveled much. Doesnt live near us and works a lot so she and Lexi have never spent that much time together.
Day 4
Monday started out warm and we were off to the Magic Kingdom again. We got thru the gates about 3 min before opening, watched the train pull in and then we were off. I was to take Mouth and Grandma to do the Dumbo dash and Map man and Nanny were going to go do Space Mountain. None of us are big Space Mtn fans but Nanny hadnt done it so Map Man wanted to be sure she did all the Mountains and this would be her last one. They let us in and we were off, Grandma, Mouth and I headed for Dumbo and left Dh and Nanny in the dust. Apparently Nanny didnt understand they werent going the same place we were b/c she said to Dh look they are way up there and they arent even looking back to see where we are. DH explained they werent our concern right now and wed meet up later. Powered by her Vitamins Grandma had no trouble keeping up with us and we were on Dumbos first flight of the day! After that we did Peter Pan and I sent Grandma and Lexi on Pooh while I called DH. They were done at Space Mtn and heading over to us, they also had just met Stitch! I really wanted to do 2 things this trip, meet Stitch and have a Dole Whip. No Stitch for me. We all met up and after looking at some shops in Fantasy land we decided Dh would take the Grandmas to the Jungle cruise and Lexi and I would go do Splash Mtn. We walked on with no wait and kept our butts dry with our dollar store ponchos. Normally I dont care, but it wasnt that warm. Mouth on the other hand can never have wet clothes, especially pants or she will self destruct. I have no idea why but it could be hot as the hinges of hell ( it was this hot in August when we were last at WDW )and if her pants are wet the world must stop. After Splash we went and got Mouth a Popsicle near The Country bears where we were to meet the rest of our peeps. They werent there so we went though that arch way to adventure land for my long awaited Dole whip. It was closed! The rest of the crew showed up and we went to see the Bears. Nanny thought that was a great show . We then road around on the train planning to get off at the front of the park and go to lunch. As we pulled into Toon Town I saw Rabbit. I stupidly yelled LOOK RABBIT! So Nanny and Lexi wanted to get off and meet him. We got off, but Rabbit had to go tend his garden before we got over to him. So we hopped back on the train and went to Main ST. We went in a few stores and then after that it was time to got to the Castle for lunch. We got in right away and in a bit Cinderella came down and we all got our picture taken with her. Then upstairs for lunch. Map Man got a Bibbity Bobbity Brew, very yummy! He had to order another b/c Mouth and I helped him with the first one. Mouth of course had Chicken Nuggets, I had the Major Domos pie. That was awesome! The dessert was great too. Nanny was So excited to meet the princesses! We didnt know who other than Cinderella was there, when they announced Snow White, Nannys crown almost fell off! ( I forgot to mention she has been wearing her light up crown from Fantasmic all day. ) Nanny and Lexi got autographs from them all and Nanny did pictures with Snow White , the Fairy God Mother and Mary Poppins. We had never eaten in the castle before so it was fun and we all thought it was really yummy. Nanny liked it so much she even bought their photo package. Lunch was a great ending to our Magic Kingdom day! We took the monorail over to the Poly because Grandma wanted to go to their gift shop and Nanny hadnt experienced the Monorail yet. We shopped there and Nanny bought a big Eeyore and some other stuff. We got the bus to MGM and while Dh and Nanny did RnR. Grand ma Mouth and I did TOT. Mouth hated TOT last time but felt braver and wanted to do it for Grandma. We found out later Grandma did really care and only did it for Lexi. I like TOT so it was all good for me. This time Lexi liked it ok, Grandma hated it! We did the back lot tour and saw the Narnia exhibit. And headed back to the room for dinner and a swim. While we were waiting for the bus I noticed something on the top of Lexis head, I wondered out loud if it was bird poop. Well, little missanimal lover did not take that well at all. And so we had our only yelling of the trip, the Grandmas were laughing a bit and Lexi decided to speak to them in a voice you dont speak to your grandma in and then she cried, so after having her apologize and telling her I thought it was probably shampoo (doubt it) we moved on. We got dinner at the food court, Dh took Lexi swimming , (all that chlorine has to be good for something. ) I packed us up and we all went to bed. Grandma was a little wound up as tomorrow we would be leaving her off at Shoneys with, He Who Shall not Be Named or to quote the Color Purple, Pa not Pa, as my sister and I have taken to calling him. Join us tomorrow when we will learn will _____show up to pick up Grandma or will she be left to fend for herself at Shoneys?
Will Mouth Almighty embarrass Grandma and ask for _____autograph? Will Nanny be busted for smuggling lighters by the TSA?
