The Glitchiest system in all the land.

Wow - can you explain more? Or how Disney could have satisfied everyone involved with both promotions?

I'm not sure what you want me to explain. I already said it would have been a far better choice to find ways to decrease demand on a system known to fail under stress. Stagger the dates released for Fps for the Mine Train. Release FD another day. I'm not sure it's that complicated.

The thing is - WDW is not my workplace. They don't pay me, I pay them.

Yep. That pretty much covers it. :thumbsup2

Whoever is in charge of IT has some naked pictures of someone high up.Good lord.:crazy2:

After the first 2 hours following the release over 50000 FP+ had been given for 7DMT - what solution do you have that would enable a website to handle that volume

You don't think amazon has to handle a bigger volume than that on black Friday every year?

And yeah, getting my flame suit on for the inevitable "Drinking the Disney Kool-Aid" stuff. I guess since I'm not in the IT business but am married to one and know the situations that come up that I am more willing to accept the "glitches". At my work, we just installed a new phone system. It just doesn't work the way it's supposed to work. We call it WIP for "work in progress". It's an IT issue and it's not solved. Nor will it be any time soon. The thing is - this stuff happens everyday in every workplace around the globe. Disney is not perfect nor will ever be.

I'm married to someone in IT as well. He also believes Disney IT is excessively glitchy.

We tried to access FP+ this morning...wanted to change parks. I got a screen asking me to scan my bar code. I gave up and waited, until we arrived at the park. I asked at GS, "what did I do wrong"? The Cm said, "nothing' it's a glitch". Is this the standard response? Why does Disney think, that this is an acceptable answer?

I'm trying to decide, how to tell a 4 year old, that we are canceling his birthday trip. This has been a nightmare with 3 people. I can't imagine these problems with 7. I'm sick over this.

Disney doesn't care...not at all.

Well, it has been an acceptable answer for months now and I don't see it changing.

Well, I had it from a good authority (a CM in the park, apparently) that yesterday's "glitch" was all simply due to the rain.

So, please, don't blame those poor, overworked IT people…they can't control the weather in Florida.
