The girlfriend and I are trying to pull off the cheapest 3-night trip possible.

So Tuesday night I proposed to my girlfriend the wacky idea of "Hey, let's drive over to WDW and do a random 3-night, 2-park day vacation as a bit of an appetizer to our currently planned November 2015 trip."

I see a few congratulations for "proposing." Did you "propose" or propose a wacky idea? I read it as a wacky idea. :confused3

What no one has mentioned is that Food and Wine starts on 9/19. Hands down, that would be my very first preference. It's a blast and you can eat and drink around the World at Epcot.

At a value, you get the QS dining plan and it's really not a great deal. There are room only discounts out there now until Oct. 3. Check those out. You have to ask; the CMs won't volunteer the info.

How long is your November trip? Is it worth getting an AP? If you go the AP route, ask the CM reservationist if there are any discounts available for AP holders. You may even be able to afford a moderate.

I've always found it cheaper to NOT book any type of package. Although I have a few things going in my favor, i.e. FL resident, AP holder, TIW holder (I'm debating on renewing that) when the reservation CM hears the word 'package' it seems things just get more expensive :rotfl2:
