Proud to say I now live in a town which is now home to a premiership football team!

The atmosphere in Blackpool over the past few days has been electric, everyone has been wearing tangerine and this morning I was woken by beeping horns at 6 am as everyone made their way down to Wembley. I was at work for the first half but could hear the cheers every time a goal was scored - it was like the whole of Blackpool cheered! My dad has called three times already from Wembley and is over the moon! He said the motorway was a sea of tangerine!

Blackpool has had a really bad reputation and had a rough time as a town over the years with alot of bad press and not much money being ploughed into the town. Losing the Supercasino was a huge blow as alot of dreams were riding on it. With The Royal Variety and Strictly coming back here earlier this year and now this wonderful news, things seem to be on the up! Even if we are relegated soon, the money coming into the club will secure the clubs future long-term. I thought it was a great match and both sides played their hearts out. Well done Lads, you have finally made me proud to say I'm a Seasider!

lytham has been buzzing today as well!! The lads did incredibly well, and will be welcomed back as heroes. As being someone who works in Blackpool, I am so pleased for the good things that potentially could come for the town as a result of their achievement.
Blackpool council are renowned wallies though, and I hope they don't blow this chance to transform the town. Blackpool needs to lose the cheap and tacky image, and become somewhere more like Brighton in order to make it a place that people will truly want to return to

Yesterday morning when we were heading to Manchester, half of Blackpool were heading in the opposite direction down the M6, it was great to see all the orange flags and balloons

What a great day! I was abit concerned about my leg but both the guys that organised the coach/my mates and the people of Wembley were fantastic to me!!!

Although by the time I got home at 11pm I was slightly tipsy....I had my first beer at 7am yesterday!!!! So we had a good day all round and the sun was shining!! Just cant wait for the banter im going to have when they play Arsenal next season!

What a great day, we had a brilliant time and am delighted Blackpool won, made teh long trip so worthwhile. Liam, whos 9, said when we were walking out "that was amazing" and he hit it spot on. My dh is so excited and can't believe his team are in the prmiership.

Deffinatley one of the most amazing days out ever! The 4 hours spent in the 'Green Man' pub in the sun and the songs blasting helped make our day!!!!! Glad Liam had a good day aswell, and its great everyone got to experience the seasiders being in the premier league!!!

Hope everyone in Blackpool enjoys the parade this afternoon, my dh is sick that we had to come home yesterday, he would have loved to have the seen parade but the kids had to get back to school.
