The Frumps Have Hit the Wall... And No One's Mad. "FART SHOES." UPDATE 1/20

Loving your trip report, you girls are so fun! :) I've been lurking for awhile, now I'm in full wedding and trip planning mode for May so I'm following as many TR's as I can to get!! :yay: Cant wait to read more!

My family watched "The Muppets" for the first time tonight. I was laughing hysterically during the Fart Shoes part, and immediately though of this TR!

Ahhh yes! That's fantastic!

Aww! Jess, your mom looked so surprised and so happy. What a great moment for the two of you. :)

I love you frumps! You're both so hilarious and passionate for Disney. Fantastic! :)

Ooo!! I was at the Disney outlet on Friday and guess what I got....THE PEOPLEMOVERS SHIRT!!! Ahh! It was only $7! Wow! I was so surprised to see it there, and for so cheap.

She was! It was really exciting!

Thank you so much!

That is SO lucky! Wow, what a great deal! They don't sell that shirt in the parks anymore (as of last time I was there) so you really lucked out!

I don't know if you girls ever saw or heard of this (or someone might have beat me to it and showed you already), but I was passing time on Tumblr last night and I came across this:

Magical Ribbons

This girl designs and makes hair ribbons (which can be put on clips, barrettes or headbands) after Disney characters, and they are sooooo adorable. Honestly, I'm wanting to buy all of them right now, and when I saw them, they just seemed to me like the kind of things the two of you would like :) And they seem to be really good quality too, lots of people buy them to wear when they go to the Parks

(I'm swear this is not payed advertisement, I don't know the girl in any way :rotfl: )

EDIT: Haha you know what! I think I just saw a review posted by you on her tumblr! Sooo I'll say, nevermind all that, have a good day rofl

Hahaha yup that was our review! We are absolutely OBSESSED with that website! I just put in my order for the Disneyland and California Adventure park bows the other day!

:cheer2: a new TR I'm so happy

Thank you!

Great updates! Man, you girls sure have a lot of fun at the airport. I can't muster up that kind of energy for our 7 a.m. flights! :lmao:

Jess, I totally understand about the long distance thing. My DBF and I were long distance for about six months during the first year of our relationship but we made it through and are now approaching our 10-year anniversary. :goodvibes

I loved the surprise for your mom, I'm sure you two had a blast. You always do at Disney!

Hahaha I think at that point in the afternoon we were so anxious to get there!

Aww congratulations! That's wonderful!

We definitely did! It was a lot of fun!

YALL ARE ALMOST TO DISNEY WORLD! WOO HOO!

Jess ~ I'm sorry you had to say goodbye to Preston right before you left for Disney, but hey, at least now you're closer to seeing him again! YAAAY!

Kristen ~ The pictures of you in the airport are great! Yall are too funny! :goodvibes

WOOHOO!

Yeah, it was sad. But you're right - we are closer now! I think the countdown is at 54 days!

Thank you!

I have been reading all the frump reports all weekend! You girls are so sweet! I hope my 5 year old grows up like you ladies!! Can not wait to read more!! :)

Aww have you!? Thank you so much for reading and for the compliments! I'm so glad you're here!

They have a complete set of 4 (I think that's the same set) on ebay right now :)

Ooh I should buy it!

I have... returned! And I'm all caught up! YAY! Okay, I think I need to stop happy dancing across the TR board because I'm sure I have annoyed people enough. Yeah, so... how about Disney?

Welcome Back, Timmy!

Firstly, SOOOO glad you are FINALLY writing a report together. This is going to be epic I can tell. ::yes::

Hahaha I'm surprised we haven't thought of this before!

Next, I just love your little prelude stuff, it always helps get us into the story. OH and I must say, you and Preston are so adorable together, Jess and I can see what you mean by him reminding you of Cory Matthews. Anyways... I'm so amazed at how Disney-fied your room has become, so cool! And I can't believe how much your pin collection has grown! THAT is the reason why I need to go back to Disney because first, it's Disney, second, I need a new lanyard for my pins and third, I NEED TO TRADE PINS!!!!! It's a shame NYC doesn't have their World of Disney store anymore... I got so excited for that. Alright, enough about my troubles, let's get back to your trip.

I'm so so glad! I felt the need to set the scene because a lot of fun stuff happened right before the trip! Haha thank you so much, Timmy! I'm glad you can see the Cory Matthews resemblance, too!

Yes, my room is basically a disney museum, and it's not even decorated yet! And OMG I KNOW pin trading is literally my favorite part of Disney besides the food. I'm just re-obsessed with it. I just finished making pin binders to store all of my Disney pins and they look AWESOME, if I do say so myself! :goodvibes And NYC got rid of their Disney store?! I thought they just opened one like 1 or 2 years ago!

Love the title! "FART SHOES!" I still need to see that movie (another thing to do this summer UGGGHHH), I feel so bad that I've neglected the Muppets for so long :( So glad to hear your mom is going to join you, Jess, again, you guys always have such a great time :D And I love all the Frump Fest pictures at the airport  I also feel like I'm seeing your inner-Muppet Kristen after that last picture, can't believe it's taken me this long though considering your personality lol :thumbsup2 to the original Stacey, I recently discovered those videos and I'm just in love with her old ways. I mean, the Triple Mountain Whammy has become a houshehold quote (slash joke for my sisters). She is amazing! Queen Stacey, I bow down before you...

Haha I understand, don't worry. But yes, you must watch it! I'm so glad I got to do another Mother Daughter trip - it was great!

Thank you very much! We had way too much fun in the airport, clearly. Yes, Kristen is most definitely a muppet haha. Ahh yes you never went when the REAL Stacey was on TV! I'm glad you discovered her! Thank God for youtube!

Can't wait to read about your first moments in the world! :mickeyjum

Thank you! I'm glad you're here!

Loving your trip report, you girls are so fun! :) I've been lurking for awhile, now I'm in full wedding and trip planning mode for May so I'm following as many TR's as I can to get!! :yay: Cant wait to read more!

Haha aww thank you! Ahhh are you having a Fairy Tale Wedding or going to Disney for your honeymoon?! I'd love to hear about your plans! I hope that you enjoy our report!

Love reading your reports!
Thank you! :)

Hahaha I'm surprised we haven't thought of this before!

I've been sitting here, reading your TRs since the original Port Report and thinking, "Okay so... they both have DIS accounts and keep on going to trips together. Are they seriously going to ever write a TR together? I mean, wouldn't that be easier?" And now you have, it's like you read my mind! lol Or just came to your sense

Well once, it is decorated, you must post pictures! ::yes::

It really is so much fun. A friend of mine just went to Disney again this year and I told him to get me Disney souvenirs because even though my pin lanyard is full to say the least, I needed some more! I usually would be, "No, don't get me anything even if I'm so friggin' obsessed with Disney." But yeah, I needed me some new pins! lol I think my obsession with pins may topple how much I love Disney food. It's insane. I'm hoping to start Vinylmation trading soon too :thumbsup2 And that's so cool about your pin binders! I think I may make my own pin board like the ones at the hotels, but in my room with my own personal touches. Help alleviate the amount of lanyards I'll have after my next few trips (they are happening!)

No, they have one, I'm just talking about the World of Disney store on Fifth Avenue which was like a Carbon copy of the one in WDW and DL, so I could buy pins but not be in Disney, now I can't do that. They do still have one, but I don't believe it has pins just Vinylmation. Either way, I'm still checking it out! :teeth:

Haha aww thank you! Ahhh are you having a Fairy Tale Wedding or going to Disney for your honeymoon?! I'd love to hear about your plans! I hope that you enjoy our report!

:) Not a DFTW, we are having it at resort down the road, they have a beautiful beach location but we are staying on Disney property for all 11 days at either BLT or BCV and celebrating our daughters 2nd birthday and Disneymooning :cool1: :cheer2: pixiedust: I'm very excited about this lol! Thanks for asking!
And I love Disney food too, maybe we will get into the pin trading when DD is a little older!
Loving the report and responses, can't wait to hear about it all!

Love your TR's (I've read them all after a friend and fellow DISer recommended them). You are both excellent writers and really know how to share your Disney experiences so a reader feels like they are right there with you.

Quick story I wanted to share with you girls.

I had jury duty today. I get there a few minutes early, go to the jury room and decide to find some reading material to get me through what was sure to be at least a long 3 1/2 hours. Right before I begin to sift through the very old magazines I notice a book. I pick it up and see that it's a collection of biographies...one biography was about WALTER ELIAS DISNEY!!! I picked it up and read the whole thing (well, short of a few pages but I'll find it to finish if it's the last thing I do). I think I was the only one there that didn't mind having jury duty...I was even happy to be chosen as a juror to have more time to finish the biography!

Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

Haha it finally happened!

Well once, it is decorated, you must post pictures! ::yes::

Will do!

Hahaha I completely understand. I haven't really gotten into the Vinylmations but they are a cool concept. I had a pin shadow box for many years and I always wanted to hang them on my wall... but then I just decided the binders would be better because hanging too many pins on my wall would be obnoxious. :rotfl:

No, they have one, I'm just talking about the World of Disney store on Fifth Avenue which was like a Carbon copy of the one in WDW and DL, so I could buy pins but not be in Disney, now I can't do that. They do still have one, but I don't believe it has pins just Vinylmation. Either way, I'm still checking it out! :teeth:

Oh gotcha. Well, the Disney store is really cool too. We used to have 3 smaller disney stores around here and they closed them ALL. I'm still not over it. You'll definitely have to check it out and let me know how it is!

Aww that's so magical! I hope you guys have a WONDERFUL time! Those are my two favorite resorts on Disney property so you can't go wrong! That'll be such a special trip!

You definitely should!

Thank you!

Love your TR's (I've read them all after a friend and fellow DISer recommended them). You are both excellent writers and really know how to share your Disney experiences so a reader feels like they are right there with you.

Aww that's wonderful! I'm glad that our trip reports are spreading through word of mouth! :goodvibes That's so cool! Thank you SO much for the compliments. They mean a lot to us!

Aww that's absolutely wonderful! It's great how Disney can truly make any situation better! I'm glad that your experience was relatively enjoyable!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you're here!

Hahaha yup that was our review! We are absolutely OBSESSED with that website! I just put in my order for the Disneyland and California Adventure park bows the other day!

Oh I know, I keep looking at it to see if she puts up new bows! I ordered 10 minis and 3 regular sized ones just this week, I couldn't help it :rotfl: well, half for me and half for my wife, plus one anniversary present for her. I'm sooo excited to get them. The park bows do look really awesome too! Though when looking at them I was wondering if they would be very comfortable to wear, but they look great for sure

Great start to your TR! I love it so far, can't wait to read more! You two are both hilarious, I'm excited to read all about your trip (:

Update #2: Our Magical Arrival!

May 11th, 2012

At 6:30, 25 minutes ahead of schedule, our plane arrived in Orlando!!!!!

dsc0132zr.jpg

We got off the plane and saw this near the gate exit:
dsc0134nq.jpg

YAYY!! That's where we were headed!!

We were all so excited to be in that wonderful MCO with the palm trees and the windows everywhere, and the sunshine! A nice man offered to take our picture:
dsc0138bq.jpg

After that, we headed straight for the Fakeorail!

dsc0141r.jpg

dsc0143yc.jpg

Here's my thing with the Fakeorail. I love it on the way TO Disney, but on the way home it's like the most annoying thing ever. The mentality: when you know you're gonna have the chance to ride the REAL monorail in mere hours, you can just laugh about the illegitimacy of the Fakeorail. But on the way home, you're so sad that you won't be able to ride the monorail again for a while that the Fakeorail is just the lamest substitute in the world. So yeah. Just thought I'd clear the air about that.

It's so true though. The fakeorail has nothing on the monorail.

Por Favor Mantenganse Alejado de las Puertas...kinda.
dsc0144rs.jpg

After that, we had some terminal struggles when trying to find baggage claim. We found Terminal A eventually and met up with Dave! Our luggage arrived on the carousel in just a few minutes!

Then we had struggle numero dos of the MCO adventure while trying to find the Magical Express. I swear, no matter how many times I go to Disney, I will always manage to get myself lost in MCO. It's just one of the most confusing airports ever.

ME TOO. Seriously, it's impossible for me to go on one trip to Disney without getting lost on the way to Magical Express. I think the people that get there in one attempt should receive a special award.

We went back up to the second floor of Terminal A and were told by some lady at a Virgin mobile kiosk to take the escalator down two floors below. We wound up near some relatively sketchy parking garage so we went back up one level and finally found the Magical Express welcome center!

dsc0145dk.jpg

See the new signs? They're awesome!
dsc0149ti.jpg

We were so excited!
dsc0148vv.jpg

We got on a bus almost right away! A real, NEW AND IMPROVED Magical Express bus! The TV's were in the front instead of by every other seat. It was really nice because everyone on the whole bus had a nice view of the movie.

I LOVED the new TV's! They were so much bigger and had such better quality!

I kinda couldn't wait...

The happy couple on Katie's first Magical Express ride!
dsc0155q.jpg

And the happy Frumps!
dsc0158s.jpg

Saratoga Springs was the first stop so we settled in and the movie started shortly after that! I love that movie. SO much. It's just an emotional jubilee of happiness and magic. I could watch it every day of my life and be an emotional mess EVERY TIME. I was just REALLY excited at this point.

The whole "Let the Memories Begin" part at the beginning makes me tear up EVERY TIME. Ugh it's so beautiful.

Pretty soon, we were seeing THIS!!!!
dsc0162jc.jpg

dsc0163vb.jpg

WELCOME HOME. TO A MAGICAL LAND OF WONDER AND JOY. Holy crap I'm getting carried away...I need to stop. I just love those gates because they represent hope and expectation and anticipation of the whole trip that's ahead of you! What an awesome moment. EVERY. TIME.

I'm so glad that we got a nice picture with the gates of heaven during the sunset! YAY DISNEY! Ahhhh I'm getting excited all over again!!!

In no time at all we were at Saratoga Springs and we had a lovely view of this while we waited for our luggage:
dsc0165ds.jpg

Then we went inside the beautiful lobby to check-in!

dsc0169uv.jpg

I was ready to take care of everything! Extreme DISer, right here:
dsc0170xs.jpg

Jess and I traded at the pin board at the front desk. Then we went to the Artist's Palette to pick up our refillable mugs, because they're now included in the DDP!! Katie and Jess got pink mugs, Dave and Mike got black, and I got light blue! They were super cute!

Jess then spotted this AWESOME Aladdin pin on a CM's lanyard, which turned out to be a super rare pin that could only be acquired if you had bought the Aladdin DVD in WDW several years ago! It was an awesome find and she was totally in love with it! It's one of her favorites! Look how beautiful it is:
dsc0188rn.jpg

You have NO idea how happy I was to find this pin! Oh my gosh. Not only is Aladdin my favorite Disney movie, but it was one of my first DVD's EVER. I didn't get it in WDW, but I got it when it was released. I used to watch it in on our Mini Van DVD player CONSTANTLY. Like... we had it playing in the car for months. I just have such an emotional attachment to that movie. AHHH I was so excited, I was jumping out of my skin!! The cast member who traded it to me gave us the whole rundown on the pin and he said that he had JUST gotten it! So I'm really happy that I snatched it up quick!

Then a lovely bellhop from Jamaica (whose name right now escapes me :/) offered to drive us to our room in Congress Park, which is exactly what I requested! I wanted a higher floor in Congress Park with a view of DTD! And that's exactly what we got! The lovely CM took us the long way so he could show us around the resort and tell us everything we needed to know!

I had heard about the new Paddock Pool, so when we drove by and he showed it to us, I said "Oh yeah! I've heard about that!" And he asked my how, and I just told him that I was obsessed with Disney. He seemed to be very impressed by my knowledge. It was a shining star moment for this DISer!

He drove us by the quiet pool at Congress Park, which was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I was totally blown away by the view of Downtown Disney as well. It was panoramic and simply AMAZING. I can't even put into words how amazed I was.

Gotta love all of the bright lights from DTD right outside our building! It really made our room even more special!

Update #2: Our Magical Arrival (Continued)

May 11th, 2011

Now enough of my rambling, welcome to our new home!
dsc00022bby.jpg

Mike's "room," a.k.a. the living room:
dsc00072br.jpg

*Some of these room pics were taken later in the trip. We had a third floor, 2-bedroom villa with a view of Downtown Disney from our balcony! We were super close to the quiet pool, the DTD walkway and the bus stop! It was PERFECT!

dsc0185sa.jpg

We went out on our huge balcony and saw our beautiful view!
dsc0183uv.jpg

We could say the Characters in Flight balloon in the daytime! It was amazing!

Overall, I was in LOVE with our villa! I'd never stayed in one before, so I was totally blown away! It was huge and absolutely perfect for all of us! I loved it!!!

dsc0186xg.jpg

We dropped off our luggage, got cleaned up and walked over to Downtown Disney! The walk was about 5-10 minutes and was so peaceful and beautiful despite the fact that DTD was hoppin' not far away!

Being able to walk to DTD was my favorite part of the whole thing! YAY!

We arrived at the Marketplace and headed in search of some DISNEY FOOD!!!

I knew exactly what I wanted. ;)

Haha that's awesome! Kristen has one and she hasn't said anything about it not being comfortable! I'm excited to get mine! :)

Great start to your TR! I love it so far, can't wait to read more! You two are both hilarious, I'm excited to read all about your trip (:

Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy the next update! Haha thank you for the compliments! I'm glad you're here!

Got room for another Frump ?? :woohoo:

Joining in .. this is fun !

Absolutely! Welcome aboard! :yay:

Loving this TR!! Can't wait for more!!

Thank you! :wizard:

After flying multiple airlines into MCO we finally realized that there are some that drop you off right on top of the Magical Express and others that drop you off on the opposite side. After that we swore to always fly Delta just for the convenience of being able to find our way!
Can’t wait to read more!

Hahaha I can say that I have actually never gotten lost on the way to ME!!! (Although, I do repeat "Side B" over and over and over while walking there!) :rotfl:

Yay for your room being ready in the location you wanted!!

I'm finally caught up! Wow, you girls sure know how to make waiting at the airport fun! :thumbsup2 I have to ask, where did you get those sweatshirts?! I love them! Yay for getting the room you wanted and for having a fantastic view!

Great, now I'm worried that I'm gonna get murdered in that sketchy parking garage because I'm for sure gonna get lost on the way to ME.
We are trying ME for the first time,( always used a Towne Car pick up before) and I excited about the movie as we've not seen it, but everyone talks about how awesome it is.

That is fun to be so close to DTD!

That's a good plan! I always just have to walk around a lot until I find my way.

It was amazing and just perfect!

Yay! Yeah we have a blast for ourselves! We got them from Forever 21! Our room was incredible!! And the view was amazing.

Double update! HURRAY! I totally got lost when I arrived at MCO, glad to see it's not just me!

For a solo traveller, would you recommend Saratoga Springs?

I remember when those Aladdin pins came out. The lady whom I pre ordered the dvd from gave me an extra pin, so now I've got two of them!
