Mmmmm, Cape May Cafe! Definitely on my ADR list for my next trip. Everything there just sounds so good! Oreo bonbons, clam chowder, crab legs... oh I need some more sustenance now. No wonder you guys hit a food wall there! All that goodness and then too much of it... I'm not sure I could handle that myself. Good thing you got through it okay... I think. Love the pin board they have there, very creative

Update #19: The Magic, The Memories, and Wishes! (Part 1)
May 15th, 2012

Alright everyone, just like my other trip reports, we are going to start wrapping this one up in a speedy fashion. I'm sorry to be rushing, but I won't have a lot of time on my DCP to keep up with everything. We are finishing up Kristen's portion of the trip first and and then I'll post about my mini-mother daughter trip that occurred after, so stay tuned for the next week and a half for lots of updates! Thanks for reading!

We got to the Magic Kingdom and noticed that the storm left some funky clouds looming over the park.

There was a BEAUTIFUL rainbow after the storm. It was absolutely gorgeous. My favorite thing in the entire world is when the sky/nature makes Disney even more amazing than it already is. It's always so breathtaking to me.

It's perfect. It feels to me like I can feel God's happiness with all the good that is Disney.

Our first stop in the Magic Kingdom was the Emporium! Kristen and I went to buy Zip-Ups! AH I love this sweatshirt. I wear it all the time.

I love that zip-up! So comfy.

Then we went straight to the Jungle Cruise! We got in the 20 minute line.

While we were waiting in line, this lady a row behind us got our attention and said "excuse me? Aren't you guys 'the frumps' from disboards?" WHY YES WE ARE!!!! We were recognized by fnrsgrl and we took a picture together! It was so awesome to get recognized and to see someone get so excited about meeting us! WE FELT LIKE CELEBRITIES! It was so cool. It was so great to meet you, fnrsgrl!

She was so sweet! It was such an exciting moment!!

We got on our Jungle Cruise boat and were seated in the very back. Our skipper's name was Nick. He was precious. He did a good job and I was laughing at his jokes, so I'd say that was a successful cruise.

Don't take that rock formation for granite!

Watch out... Ginger SNAPS! She's one tough cookie.

Trader Sam will give him two of his heads for one of yours!

We wanted to stay back and meet our Dis-friend after her cruise, but Mike got snippy and wanted to go. So we left and went to the Haunted Mansion.

It was his last night in Disney and he wanted to make the most of it. Can't say that I blame him!

Then we went to Space Mountain which was a WALK ON! I sat in the front!!

We stopped at Auntie Gravity's and some snacks were purchased:

Like how was Dave even eating ice cream after Cape May. I DON'T KNOW.

Then we went to the bridge between Tomorrowland and Main Street so we could watch the nighttime entertainment!

It was SUCH an amazing spot for The Magic, The Memories, and You! (RIP) You could actually see the projections when you were that close and it was amazing. I'm happy that one of my last times seeing it was in that location. I was very satisfied with my pictures!

The Tangled part made me tear up, as usual. GAH I have so much love for that movie.

Update #19: The Magic, The Memories, and Wishes! (Part 2)
May 15th, 2012

OPEN UP YOUR HEART AND LET THE MEMORIES BEGIN! Sigh, I’m gonna miss that soundtrack. It was my favorite.

As far as Wishes, that wasn't the best spot because the fireworks set off far away were blocked by the trees. However, I felt like I was right in the middle of the action because I was so close to the castle.

My friend Alicia told me this story that our friend Bobby told her about Wishes. Apparently the little girl who sings the song ("star light, star bright...") was a Make-A-Wish child, and her wish was to sing for Disney. So they recorded this song and got it all ready. I believe the little girl had cancer and she actually passed away before she even got to see Wishes. That story breaks my heart every time I hear/tell it. I thought I'd share it with you so you can keep that little girl in your thoughts every time you hear the Wishes soundtrack. The beautiful thing is that her dream came true and many years later, her voice is still being heard at the Magic Kingdom every night!

Isn't that the saddest thing you've ever heard!? Feel free to sob.

I actually smile whenever I hear her voice, because I know that she's in a better place, not suffering, and that her dream came true! That's all we can all hope for, really. Her legacy lives on with the true Disney lovers every single day.

After Wishes, we stopped at Casey's so Mike and Katie could get corn dog nuggets.

You may be wondering how Mike fit anything into his stomach after his 10 plates at Cape May.

YEAH. SO AM I.

We went and got a table in that cove area near the "singing studio." It was a nice little quiet space to relax before we headed back to the resort.

I love that little nook! It's so precious.

Time to go!

We took the bus to Saratoga Springs and went to the hot tub for a little while. Then we went back to the room and packed up. Here is my pin collection for the day:

I love that people in the parks directly address you as THE FRUMPS.

You both have the prettiest hair. Mine is finally finally starting to look LONG-ISH again. Seriously don't cut your hair. I used to hate when people would tell me that and I'd be like I'LL DO WHAT I WANT THANKS BYE but yeah. Now I see it was good advice. D:

WHOA WHOA WHOA. Those M, M, & Y pics are AMAZING!!! Celebrate The Magic had not yet begun when I was there, but I am SO excited to see it! I hated that there wasn't a castle show to watch at the time.

Omg I just teared up at that story. I've always loved that part, her voice is so precious. I'm so happy her dream came true. Yesterday my mom told me a story that made me smile... she used to be a case worker at a shelter for teen moms and one of the babies was born with a heart condition so she got a make a wish trip and she's finally going to Disney this year. So her grandma took her to the Disney store and bought her one princess outfit for every day that she will be in the parks. GAH. These poor kids, I don't even know. I hope they have the most magical trips of all.

THEY ATE AGAIN? hahahaha Honestly I think I eat a lot at Disney but you guys/your families out-eat me.

The picture of the Main Street USA Train Station with the rainbow in the sky is TOO gorgeous!

What is even more amazing about the picture is that the Flag is at half-staff for National Peace Officer's Memorial Day!It is like the rainbow "appeared" just to pay tribute to our lost Peace Officers!

That is so sad that Mike wouldn't let you meet your public!

Update #20: The Frumps Go Solo- Part 1

May 16th, 2012

The next morning, we woke up at around 8:30 A.M. and finished packing. It was Disney Departure Day! ): Well, for everyone but Jess. Jess' Mom was flying down that day for some Mother-Daughter time!

However, she was moving to Port Orleans French Quarter for the second leg of her trip, so everyone had to pack up and get outta there!

Mike had left a shirt he had bought on the bus, so he had to go to the TTC to pick it up at Lost & Found. He left the room and was going to meet us at Downtown Disney a little later on.

I feel like my Dad or my brother would do something like this. Pshh boy problems.​

Bell Services came at around 10 A.M. to get our luggage. We checked in for our flight at the Carriage House and then a nice valet Cast Member drove us over to the West Side on a golf cart! We gave him a real nice tip.

We called Mike while we walked over to the Marketplace, and he was running a little late. We were planning on having breakfast at Wolfgang Puck Express, so he told us what he wanted and we planned to meet him there.

Jess and I knew what we wanted right away. We had heard so many great things about the Smoked Bacon Pizza, so we decided to share it!

Ohhh man, it was so good! Our food limit was pretty much to the max, but bacon, ranch, and fresh tomatoes on pizza!? You can't get much better than that.

Dave jumped right to lunch, and had the Rotisserie Turkey sandwich that he loves so much!

I believe that Katie and Mike shared this Breakfast Pocket, which was HUGE. And the potatoes that came with it were SO good! I may have stolen a few...

After we were finished eating, we went over to Goofy's Candy Co. to use up our snack credits!

Yummy, yum, yum.​

I got some Mickey rice krispie treats, of course, as well as a Snow White cookie to bring back for Nat.

She loves cookies and Snow White is her favorite princess, so this was perfect for her!

Jess and I also decided to share a Mickey Red Velvet Cake Pop, because we are both OBSESSED with red velvet and it was just too much to eat by ourselves.

We decided on the pink one, and got it wrapped for a little later.

Good choice, I must say.​

We also went into the Days of Christmas store, where I bought a Castle blanket. I love that thing and I use it ALL the time. It's perfect.

Next, we went into the pin store and traded Vinyls!

We looked around for a bit and probably traded pins or something.

We also went to Tren-D, where I got a Hidden Mickey's dress, some Mickey pens and pencils for school, and Jess got a blanket and I believe this pillow, which I also ended up buying in July. She also got a Fastpass pillow!

At some point, more Vinyl trading was done!

We went in World of Disney for a while, and then went to check out the Lego store!

Update #20: The Frumps Go Solo- Part 2

May 16th, 2012

We went in the Lego store next, and just had to say hello to Woody!

Buzz was there too!

We had a lunch ADR for T-REX, so we decided to just check in a little early for it!

Cuz you know... MORE FOOD!!!!​

We waited about five minutes and were seated underwater!

Did you know that Wooly Mammoths can swim? Neither did I.

James was our server and he was really friendly!

I had a lemonade and a garden salad, and Jess and I shared the T-rexadillas! YUM.

We were so full that we couldn't even finish them! Everyone had definitely reached their limit.

Dave probably had a burger, and someone had chicken wings and the heavenly T-REX WAFFLE FRIES.

After T-REX we walked around for a while, and then, and I'm not even kidding here, we ate.

AGAIN.

LIKE WHY DO WE NEVER STOP EATING!?!?

WE'RE FULL, DANGFLABBIT.

Apparently not.

We went to Ghiradelli and Mike, Dave and Katie got milkshakes and ice cream. Jess and I decided to just share our cake pop!

YUM! That thing was SO GOOD. The cake was so moist and perfect, and the white chocolate around the cake was fantastic. I loved it!

We need to get another one!!​

Meanwhile, Katie had a vanilla milkshake:

He has loved this thing for as long as I can remember. It's the perfect sundae.

Jess and I went to the bathroom to the left of Ghiradelli, and when we were walking back we decided to look at the CM's pins in the teeny tiny little stoller place.

AND IT'S A GOOD THING WE DID.

Jess found the Dancing People pin!!! It was so random and out of nowhere, but I'm so glad she found it!

We started off the trip when Kristen found hers, and we ended the trip with me finding mine! It couldn't have been better!​

After that, it was time to say goodbye. ):

We were both really sad that we were being split up. We have separation issues.

LOL but seriously. How are we going to last through my DCP!?!?! ): A frump trip is in order.​

Jess was going to meet her mom at POFQ, and the rest of us were going to enjoy some more DTD time before it was time to leave!

We went in Once Upon a Toy, and I traded for the Haunted Mansion clock pin! Then we went in the pin store again and Mike bought me a YaCHt Club pin! He's a nice kid.

He also decided to get into pin trading himself, and he bought a mystery pin that he ended up trading twice, and he ended up with a Woody pin.

We went in the Pooh's Finds store, Art of Disney, and then headed to the bus stop! We waited a whiiiiile for a bus to SSR, got off at the Carriage House, ate a quick meal at Artist's Palette to use up some CS credits, and then caught the Magical Express. ): The rest is all sadness and boring flight-home stuff, so I'll let Jess take over with the rest of her trip! It's been so fun writing this joint TR, and don't forget to check out my July one HERE.

Update #21: My Mom is Back! (Part 1)
May 16th, 2012

I thanked Kristen’s Dad and her family for having me on their trip! I was so sad that the frump portion of the trip was over. Kristen and I had such a wonderful time together going crazy and loving life in Disney… I really hope that we have another chance to take another frump trip soon!

My Mom had flown in this morning so we could now start our mini Mother-Daughter trip! We were staying at Port Orleans French Quarter so I took the boat from Downtown Disney to our new home!

Mom was in Sassagoula’s eating her lunch! We talked for a while and I filled her in on my trip! My cousin made her a twitter account while I was gone so she could follow me on this trip! Since then she’s become addicted to the ol’ twitter. It’s pretty funny. She always knows what’s going on!

We finished up our lunch and we picked up my bags from bell services. Then it was time to go up to our room!

We were in building 5 in room 5329. We had a teal door! It looked just like our room from our Christmas trip but it was facing the opposite way.

I unpacked my stuff and freshened up. We didn’t have any plans for the night but we were both in the mood to go to the Magic Kingdom. So that’s what we did!

We had our first bus run of the trip and arrived at our magical destination. There was no line to for bag check, so the security guard was like “I’ve been waiting all day for you guys to get here! I kept the line open for you!” He was from Germany and he asked me if anyone ever wished me happy birthday in another language before. So he told me “congratulations on celebrating your birthday” in German! It was so cool!

We got in the park and went to meet Mickey since the wait was only 5 minutes long. There was this little boy behind us in line and he was singing the “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” theme song and his Mom was taping it. It MELTED MY HEART. I just love little children so much.

We met Mickey and Minnie and they were SO adorable and nice. Mickey kissed my hand and it was just precious.

On our way out in the dump shop, this 68 year old Cast Member from Puerto Rico was talking with us about how much he loves his job and how Disney has real magic. He always comes to work an hour early because he loves it there so much. He’s just so happy to be there and it’s wonderful to know that there are such dedicated people that work at Disney!

We left and walked down Main Street USA. We had a photopass CM take our picture and she was a girl from Michigan. It was her last day on the College Program and she was so sad she had to leave!

We went to the Haunted Mansion first and I gave Mom a tour with all of the new facts I have learned since our last trip.

We walked over near Fantasyland. I had to take a picture with one of my top three Disney couples!

Then we walked over to the new Dumbo! I had to show Mom the very beginnings of Storybook Circus!

The Cast Member working at Dumbo was so nice. He chatted with us for a while because a line was at a halt since the ride was running. He asked me “so what’s going on in your life?” and I told him about school and how I wanted to do the DCP eventually. (OH WAIT… NOW I AM!!!) He was a communications major in college, he did his DCP, and now he’s working at Disney full time! He loves it there!

We got on the blue and orange Dumbo and it started to rain. But it was a fun little ride and Mom loved seeing all of the new stuff!

Then we went to Columbia Harbor House for dinner! We had two quick service credits left over from when I was with Kristen, so Mom and I used them for dinner!

CHH updated their menu and it’s fantastic! Mom and I both got the salmon and WOW it was so good. Considering it was from a quick service restaurant, it was some good quality salmon! It’s such a healthy and delicious option! It came with some fresh broccoli and deliciously seasoned couscous. AH it was just so wonderful.

For dessert I got some Apple Pie! It’s not the best… but it’s dessert, ya know? It just tastes like your typical packaged pie.

Mom was healthy and she had a yogurt. What will power.

We sat in the upstairs room and no one was there! Thank you disboards for that wonderful tip! It was such a nice little sanctuary.

We sat by a window and we could see Fantasyland from up there!

Update #21: My Mom is Back! (Part 2)
May 16th, 2012

Then we went on Its a Small World! Kristen called me from the airport and we were so sad she had to leave. WAHH COME BACK TO ME, FRUMP!

I tried to refrain myself from taking too many pictures of this ride. It's a Jess problem. Once I start I usually can't stop! But on this day I only ended up with three. I'm impressed with myself.

We took a bunch of Fantasyland pictures next! There are just beautiful flowers EVERYWHERE in Disney!

CASTLE PICTURES!

My last view of this  EVER. Wow, thats heartbreaking to type.

Time to go to Tomorrowland! Please say this in the appropriate tone of voice:

Our next stop was Buzz Lightyears SPACE RANGER SPIN!

HIDDEN MICKEY!

I love our ride picture  its too cute!

Then we went on the PeopleMover and I was wearing my matching shirt!

Next we used our Peter Pans Flight fastpasses. That is one of my absolute favorite attractions. It just makes me feel like a little kid again!

While walking back to Main Street, I took this picture of the castle. I LOVE it because you can faintly see the stars. Its so magical.

Then we walked up the back pathways and got to Main Street USA.

The Main Street Electrical Parade was going on so we fought our way through the crowds.

We went to the Ice Cream Parlor and got a Hot Fudge Sundae! I asked for extra cherries but two out of three of them fell off when I was walking through the crowd to the bakery. Sigh.

Mom and I split the sundae and we ate it right up! It was SO GOOD. Mmmm ice cream is my favorite.

Then we walked through the shops. I bought a Walts Vision picture from the Main Street Gallery. I had just painted my room back at home and I wanted some new artwork to hang up. It was perfect!

After my newest purchase, it was raining and pretty chilly outside. We went back to the room before Wishes because we were both cold and tired. I fell right to sleep when I got back to my beloved Port Orleans!
