The Frumps Have Hit the Wall... And No One's Mad. "FART SHOES." UPDATE 1/20

Very fun updates! And it is true, the Frump stitching and the Mickey ears are a natural combination!

Omg, the Space photo. Too funny.

I recommend the flatbread at Tony's. It is superb!

When you give a frump a camera. AHAHAHAH.

Love the frump ears and the Splash pic. :)

Haha thanks!
I have heard good things!
Fart Shoes!
Thank you!

Thank you! Haha I know... we thought it looked perfect together!

Catching up from your first full Disney day! Kristen's bow is so cool! I just had to check out that girl's site. The t-shirts and sweatshirts have such unique prints!

Awesome food pictures from Crystal Palace! That's what I like to see, YUM!

HAHAHA, your Space Mountain photo is hilarious! I wonder what that lady thought when she saw the picture later on.

Ooo, I will have to look for the ring at Haunted Mansion next time. I completely forgot about it because I was so engrossed with everything in the interactive queue.

Awww, how sweet that you guys got the embroidery for free! What a doll Anita was to give you the money back! And it's so cool that you were able to get "Frump" on it. I remember reading a while back that nicknames weren't allowed.

The Dole Whip isn't REALLY ice cream since it doesn't have dairy in it (the only reason I can have it!). Haha, so there's no reason to feel guilty at all! Either that or you don't have to feel bad getting more ice cream later in the day or something!

Hi ladies! I'm subbing in. Just found this & read it all tonight. I've followed along on other TRs of yours but barely commented, so I'm glad that you haven't gotten too far into this one yet for me to jump into it.

First of all, your pics from WPE were amazing! I love that place, but the last couple of trips to DTD I have been won over by EoS. After your update I think I will be going to WPE again. The mac & cheese looked so good.

THANK YOU for introducing me to the Disney Quotes pillows. Um, I need a Fastpass one. It's not a want, it's a need. Just clarifying.

Lastly, I love the Mickey ears. So perfect for both of you.

Can't wait to read more!

:lmao: That hat story cracked me up!!

OMG those waffles are absolutely amazing!! We had them in June, and I just about died it was so good! Nutella is my favorite!!! Add yummy fruit and a huge Belgian waffle.... I just can't even.... oh, it's just delicious! :goodvibes

:rotfl2: I love your Splash ride pic! Too cute!

LOL I know. I wonder if people ever wonder what the heck is wrong with us when they see our ride pictures show up on the screens. :lmao:

I alwyas forget about it too! There's so much to see! But it is a really cool detail!

I know, that was SO nice. It's always great to save money in any little way possible - especially in Disney! Thank goodness they changed the rule before we got there!

Yes, I have heard that it is one healthy snack! That's why I can always eat it... even if I'm already stuffed!

Aww thanks for being here! I'm glad you caught us at a good time!

YUM wpe is absolutely amazing! It's always such a war between EoS and WPE for me... because I love them both! I try to switch every other trip!

Haha I'm glad you found it amusing!
They were DELICIOUS! I'm glad you tried one too!
Thank you!

Awh Frump ears are a great idea!
Did many people ask you about them? Or what it meant when you were around the parks? I wonder when they changed the rules about letting nicknames.
My name is Sally but my nickname is Salad and a few years ago I tried to get that on a hat and they wouldn't let me... far too offensive I guess :rotfl:

That is such a perfect picture of you guys with the ears and the castle in the background! Definitely frameworthy!:thumbsup2
I know everyone has said it but the bow is awesome! I love her work!

Oh gosh! Nutella at Disneyworld! PERFECTION!
Disney food is so freakin photogenic- such attractive fooood!

Jess' face on Splash is hilarious!! I love that everyone has their mouth open!

You can never have too many desserts at Disney... factual
Multiple desserts each day are almost a given.
They are so pretty all together!

Saratoga Springs looks so amazing!
You know when you start a chapter in matching shirts its going to be a good one.

Thanks! Not really...we got a couple looks and then CM's were a bit confused but that's about it. HAHAHA well they've changed the policy regarding nicknames since then. You're allowed to get Salad now I think!

Thanks! I love it! :goodvibes Oh thank you! I know, Hayley is amazing. :worship:

Update #9: It's the Flower and Frump Festival!
May 12th, 2012

We arrived at Epcot, hopped off the magical motor coach, and low and behold we saw the most amazing thing in all of Disney. Or at least you would have thought it was. Everyone was MESMERIZED by this giant bug. Kristen and I, being the Disney-loving frumps that we are, were like "who cares about a stupid bug, we're in Epcot... LET'S GO!" Typical, typical.

dsc0574x.jpg

They seriously stared at this bug for FOREVER. I was like can we MOVE people? I have places to be!

This is one of my favorite pictures from the entire trip. It's so simple, yet so perfect. To me it just seems to symbolize our inner child, our love for Disney, and that we're best friends having a wonderful time together! What more could you ask for, really?

dsc0575d.jpg

Aww so cute. <3 Frumps forever!

We entered Epcot and were hit with a burst of Flower and Garden glory. We were SURROUNDED by the beautiful topiaries and flowers. The entire park was brought to life and we LOVED it!

dsc0576d.jpg

dsc0577iv.jpg

A ton a pictures were obviously very necessary.

Frumps Forever (:

dsc0581w.jpg

I loved the Flower & Garden displays! Fantasia was such a favorite in our house when I was younger!

The cute couple:

dsc0585m.jpg

Moving a little farther into the park...

dsc0586c.jpg

I love this picture! It's just perfectly placed... and I feel like it was a totally impulsive photo.

dsc0587wz.jpg

It was. I just love that fountain!

Once we entered the park, we went over to Captain EO because I had to say hi to my friend Bobby! He was down on his College Program during the Spring 2012 semester. His role was attractions and he worked at both Captain EO and Figment! You will meet him again later in this trip report, but he really wanted me to stop by and say a quick hi during his shift on this night. Kristen ended up pin trading with him for a baby Prince Eric pin, and he and I made potential plans to meet up later in the week!

I love Bobby! He's an angel.

More flowers:

dsc0588sz.jpg

This was made out of SAND. Incredible, right!?

dsc0597sz.jpg

We inched closer and closer to the World Showcase, but not without taking a picture with my FAVORITE character!

dsc0602x.jpg

PLUTO! My love. ♥ ♥ ♥

dsc0603v.jpg

And of course, this dynamic duo. (The ducks... not the frumps... although we are pretty dynamic, too.)

dsc0604xw.jpg

DONALD DUCK!

dsc0606j.jpg

Kristen snapped a little picture of Mickey and Duffy on our way into the World Showcase:

dsc0608uu.jpg

And here's some IllumiNations torches! (we were in a "photograph everything" mood on this night... not that that's anything new.)

dsc0610zw.jpg

dsc0613w.jpg

Mexico was the first country, but we were not stopping there...

dsc0611bf.jpg

NORVAY! No, not quite yet...

dsc0614fa.jpg

CHINA!! Yes, that was our intended destination!

dsc0616i.jpg

We had to visit Norman junior and our Puppet friends!

dsc0617ak.jpg

dsc0619p.jpg

And this is where things get a little crazy...

Update #9: Adventures in China!
May 12th, 2012

It had been a few months so I had to catch up with my old pals.

dsc0624zr.jpg

dsc0626ei.jpg

They were very happy to have some familiar visitors!

dsc00680mh.jpg

dsc0621fv.jpg

FAMILY REUNION. <3

Happy Frump:

dsc0625g.jpg

WE FOUND NORMAN JUNIOR!

dsc0628g.jpg

How I love that deer.

Sad Frump:

dsc0627bw.jpg

Norman Senior was no longer. ): He has been removed from the shelves and we miss him deerly. (pun intended) RIP.

BAHAHAH ohh Jess, you kill me. RIP Norman Senior. It was swell making your acquaintance.

Norman Junior will have to carry on his legacy! FLY HIGH, NORMAN SENIOR!

dsc0629n.jpg

Deer can fly...?? DISNEY MAGIC, PEOPLE.

FAMILY PHOTOS!

dsc0630lg.jpg

ON THE COUNT OF THREE, EVERYONE SAY "DEER FACE!"

dsc0631sz.jpg

Aww Jess! This should be our Christmas card!

Oh my God YES. Merry Christmas to one and all.... DEER FACE! Quite pleasant, isn't it?!

Feast yer eyes on some more Chinese Architecture!

dsc0632a.jpg

dsc0633v.jpg

But you can only do so in a SCOTTISH accent.

I'm glad you got that reference. GO SEE BRAVE, EVERYONE!

Then we decided to have dinner. (Yes, MORE FOOD. Can you believe it?) We ate at Lotus Blossom Café.

I got the Shrimp Fried Rice, and so did Mike. I hit a MAJOR food wall at this dinner, so whenever I think of the shrimp fried rice now, I remember that feeling of being way too full. I still need some time to recover from that.

dsc0635d.jpg

From the perspective of someone who is never full...MAN that fried rice is GOOOOD!

The fact that I was full was a very rare occasion. It just doesn't happen, and that's why I am still getting recuperating.

Katie and Dave both got the Orange Chicken.

dsc0636m.jpg

NOM NOM NOM.

Kristen got the Beef and Noodle Soup.

dsc0637d.jpg

She really enjoyed it, clearly.

dsc0639iu.jpg

I did! It was delicious! NOODLES. <3 How can you go wrong? Unless you're a vegetarian of course, which I am not. Clearly. Bring on the MEAT YO.

FART SHOES!

dsc0640p.jpg

I know, I know. I hear y'all. And the answer is no, I have not considered beauty pageants, but if you really think this is THAT attractive...

LOL.

Just kidding.

America has enough problems.

Moving on...

Katie got the Apple Egg Roll for dessert. I don't remember seeing that on the menu last time I was there, so that was a new discovery for me!

dsc0641g.jpg

I got my favorite Red Bean Ice Cream for dessert! It's cool, refreshing, and sweet! It's strawberry ice cream only 5 million times better. I always have trouble explaining how good it is on my trip reports so you really need to go try it for yourself! It's available at Lotus Blossom Café and Nine Dragons!

dsc0638e.jpg

Then Kristen got a hold of the camera again and another frump photo shoot ensued...

dsc0644jg.jpg

dsc0645a.jpg

dsc0650o.jpg

dsc0651nl.jpg

dsc0652q.jpg

dsc0656bs.jpg

Ha, Mike has a little half-smoulder thing goin' on here...so proud, so proud.

We missed him very much, but as long as there's some sort of deer there to visit, I am happy! Thank you!
I KNOW! That's exactly what we said. It wasn't THAT exciting!
Me too!
Thank you! :goodvibes

Thank you! Hahaha I'm glad you enjoy our deer antics. It was very good! popcorn::

Awesome update!

It's funny what some people find fascinating. Bugs, signs, grass. Anything! :lmao:

So I may have to check out Lotus Blossom Cafe for the Red Bean Ice Cream! That looks super yummy, and I'm an ice cream freak! :hyper:

Can't wait to read more! popcorn::

Super cute trip report!!

Strawberry bean ice cream, huh? Why have I never tried this? Maybe because it looks so plain in the face of dark chocolate sea salt caramels, school bread, and the magnificent pastry concoctions from France. But clearly, it is one of those deceptively simply, yet mind-numbingly delicious treats that must be now moved to the top of my list. Thanks for the tip!! :thumbsup2

Hahahahahaha the deer pictures are hilarious! What a sweet family :goodvibes RIP Norman :rotfl:
The dinner looks yum! I really should try there."Bring on the meat yo" :rotfl: This whole chapter cracked me up! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:
