I understand I have not quite finished my April trip report (the last installment should be up by tomorrow evening) but I'm anxious for my next trip!

We got our luggage tags today and with that the excitement has grown. My DH called his daughter all excited repeating "guess what!!??" " Guess what we got today???" :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
Unlike my April trip, my DH will be with me this time as well as my two step kids. My two kids will not be with us on this trip. :guilty:

This will be the first time for all of us staying on property, we wil be resting our weary bodies at the All Star Music. I think my DSS(13) is more excited about the guitar pool!!

I plan on doing another report on my return and expect it to be a bit more detailed then the current one. I have my notebook that I will take plenty of notes!!

Our departure out of Nh will be a later flight and arriving early evening. After my last trip, I learned not to go right to a park and to chill out instead and hit the parks starting the next day.
We are going to start out at Mk on Tue. Mgm on Wed. Epcot on Thur. and AK on Friday with a late departure back to NH.

We are all very excited about our visit to the Happiest Place on Earth and can't wait to tell you all about it! popcorn::

YEAH!!!! We LOVE the day our tags come in the mail! We stayed on site for the first time last year in Sept. and it's GREAT! From the airport with Magical Express to the All Star Movies (Music Rocks too!). At the resort, we didnt buy the infamous MUG on the first day because we thought it was too expensive untill we kept having to buy drinks over and over for our family of 6!!! So we got the mugs x6 on day2! To get to the parks the busses are SO fun! We're "people-people" and love the conversations that we stuck up on the busses. We also like to people-watch and there's plenty of entertainment value on the busses!
Do you have the Disney Dining Plan? We ate alot better than our previous off-site trips with it.

Have Fun! Makes me JEALOUS right now. We have 55 days and counting!

Hi Utahmama!!!

I am very excited about our trip.
We are planning to buy our mugs first thing, I need my caffine in the morning!
We are NOT doing the dinning plan. We looked into it but decided we do not really eat that much food while we are there. Besides that fact that we would spend so much more money doing that then just doing the counter service. I am however hoping to go Garden Grill....I really like that place!!

Enjoy your trip when you go!!
May plenty of Pixie Dust be sprinkled upon you!! pixiedust:

We're still anxiously awaiting the arrival of our luggage tags!
Although, we probably still have awhile since we don't leave until Aug 27!
Looking forward to hearing about the next trip! :)

Coming soon to a trip report board near you...The Four Day long adventure to Walt Disney World.
There will be laughs....I hope....
There will be pictures......
There will be jaw dropping.....water spewing....poop floating.....bunny nibbling fun!!

Stay tuned..... :surfweb:
Don't go away....
First installment coming August 1st.

Well people, as promised, I give to you now, my WDW July trip report.

I promise to do my best to keep your attention and be as entertaining as possible. I never have or never will claim to be as wonderful as a writer as the magnificent Mel from the Happyhaunts, Pastor Mark and his wonderful wife Rhonda or the ever funny and ressie scamming Hucifer (Wendy)

Cast:

Myself…..Brenda…39 years old. After doing four parks in four days and feeling like WDW severely kicked my butt…I feel more like 79!

DH…..Bruce….is a veteran of Disney. As a physics teacher, for many years he did the Y.E.S program with about 40 students each spring.

DD…..Katie…..15….or as we like to refer to her as Princess…preferably Sleepybeauty.
Last time she was there was 5 year ago.

DS….Zack…..13…. REALLY don’t know what to say here. We do refer to him as Grumpy at times. He also was there 5 years ago.

Our travel day started out fine. We loaded the cats up with food and water…..and the poor cat watched me as I filled their regular bowl along with two cereal bowls with food. Diva just looked at me with a look on her face like she was thinking to herself…. “This can’t be good!! They’re leaving us!”

Bruce and I were pretty much packed except for some last minute things…..you know the usual toothbrush….paste….book…..shorts….shirts….bathing suit….beach towels…. camera….DVD player…..sneakers…..the kitchen sink…..ok….all packed now.

We left the house and stopped at the store for a couple of things…mainly munchies. From there we headed for the kids house and got them all packed into the car with luggage and all. We made a stop at their moms work to say goodbye again and give her our house key to keep an eye on the cats for us.

Off to Manchester to the airport.

Having arrived a couple of hours early and decided to have lunch. The kids feasted on bagels from Dunkins and hubby and I had McDonalds.

From there, we made our way through security where Zack was questioned by TSA

TSA: do you have any pencils in this backpack?
Zack: what?
TSA: do you have any pencils in this backpack?
Zack: yes…..why?
TSA: they are not allowed
Zack: what?
TSA: Hey Linda….can you call the sheriff? We have pencils here!

By this time, we all see Bruce chuckling….he tipped off the TSA guy to give Zack a hard time. Personally….it didn’t surprise me!

Ok….so off we go to the gate…..gate 11. The people for the flight before us were just starting to board the plane. Once they were all cleared out…we grabbed our seats in the A line. FIRST ONES in the A line by the way! There was actually seats that lined the A line area so we sat there and put our bags on the floor in front of us.

At one point….I was away at the bathroom and I came back to find some lady had weaseled her way in front of us!! EXCUSE ME?? What is with this lady I asked Bruce? Apparently she didn’t see the line. Whatever!! I wasn’t going to let her spoil my “I’m on my way to Disney” mood. We decided to be nice and not boot her fanny out of there! Apparently, she must have been an escapee from a nursing home some where and didn’t know any better.

About 30 minutes before the arrival of our plane, they told us that it was on its way, with a “minor mechanical problem”. There was an issue with the AC but would be fixed and we would be on our way.

The plane pulled up to the gate, people came off….they cleaned and we got on. SCORE…we got the poor mans first class seats…..with the kids behind us. They made a couple of announcements saying they were working on the ac and as soon as it was done and the paper work was filed we would be on our way.

Ok…now the work was DONE and the paper work was being finished up …..5 more minutes. TEN minutes later….they came on and said they were lied to….this plane was NOT going anywhere!! WHAT?????

We were all escorted off the plane and given a plastic boarding pass with a number on it. I was number 61…they will be letting people on the next plane in numerical order. They start with 1-30, then 31-60 and so on….of course the rest of my family was numbered 58,59 and 60. As I stood there waiting for my group number to call, I watched my family boarding the plane asking them to please save me a seat….they laughed at me. Now I’m feeling like the cats being left behind….all I needed was some bowls of food and water!

We were all told to head down to gate 15 for now for they had another plane coming in to board at the gate we were at. This gate was like the last one down…I was starting to think that we put us down there out of the way…..like a whole plane of red-headed step-children.

I must say….I was quite impressed with Southwest. They had us on a plane by 4:10pm. The original flight time was 2pm.

Someone asked the Pilot where we got the plane from and he responded with “I don’t know….I didn’t even ask!” with a little giggle in is voice

To wrap this up, we did NOT get our original seats but at this point I didn’t care anymore. The attendants were very comical which I really enjoy. Told us about the vest under our seats if we should land in water and how to put it on and “pigpaddle” to shore, and oh, feel free to keep the vest as a souvenir from all of us here at Southwest airlines.

I pulled out my portable DVD player and watch Ladder49 and then a couple of episodes of Everyone Loves Raymond. We got to Orlando about 7:30ish and caught our Magical Express to our resort.

100_8552.jpg

We stayed in room 9453 at the All Star Music which was in the Jazz building. We were in our room by 9:00pm.

We went to the food court, got something to eat and bought our wonderful refillable mugs!! Those are like the best thing ever!!

Our luggage arrived around 10:30-11:00, we pushed and shoved each other out of the way to get to our bags and changed into our pjs and crashed for the night.

Next installment----No beer allowed….your not my mom….Poop……. and PIRATES!

Hey, don't leave us haning, come back please!

Fear not readers....I am working on the next installment. It's pushing about 100 degrees :crazy2: here and we don't have AC. It a little on the hot side sitting here at the computer.

The title of this report was too good to pass up. The teenage attitude. My DD is almost 16. I can't wait for the next installment. :)

Great start look forward to reading more.

We too fly from Manchester when going to WDW. I presume it's not the same airport?
Our flight takes approx 10 or 11 hours but it's worth it.

Hey Disney Owl!! I would NOT want to fly from your Manchester, 3 hours is long enough for me!!

Here we are people….today is Magic Kingdom day!
The wake up call had been put in for 6:00am because today my friends are EMH at MK. I had planned to be there for 8:00 to get the most out of our extra hour.

The phone rang……
“KATIE, Katie….pick up the phone…” as I nudge her violently. She groaned and picked it up. Mickey and Stitch did their best to put some excitement into her….she hung up and rolled over.

Bruce got up and got his things together and headed for the shower. Much to my surprise, Zack gather his clothes for the day and was second in the shower. Fine by me…he will need more time to get his hair just right. He was bummed that I didn’t bring a hair dryer but I don’t use one and there wasn’t one in the room. Zack proceeded to find the vent in the room that was pushing out some cool air and stuck his head down to it. He has to get that hair dry in order to straighten it with his hair straighter!

It didn’t take much time for me and Katie to shower and get dressed and we were all on our way for breakfast.

We ate at the food court and I’m sorry I don’t remember what everyone got but there were no complaints.

We hopped our bus and were at the MK by 8:15.

We arrived at the Magical Magic Kingdom and headed for the turnstiles, however, before that I have to go through the bag check line with my dorky fanny pack. YES I used a fanny pack!! I know it looks lame but I’m on vacation with millions of people I will never see again.

We decided to head to Philharmagic. This is a new one for all of us. Although I was there in April, I never saw it. As we walked in…needless to say at that time of day, it was a walk-on, the 3D glasses are to the left and they are yellow, we all wondered why they had French fries there!! OK, ok…closer look we saw that they were the glasses. :rotfl2:
We all found the show to be very entertaining and a good start to the day.

From there we agreed to make our way to BTMRR and Splash Mt. We soon found out that the path to that area was not open yet….so we did an about face and went to, drum roll please…..It’s a Small World. Bruce HAAAAAATES this ride but he made a deal with Katie that if he went on that she would go on ToT.

After our nightmare with the little dolls, we went to stand at the rope and waited for 9:00 for the rest of the park to open. Once the rope dropped and mobs darted for the mts., we took our time. We got to BTMRR and retrieved some fastpasses and then rode Splash. We were sitting towards the back so we managed to evade getting too wet. Which by the way was a good thing….we didn’t want Zack’s hair getting messed up so early in the day. :sad2:
100_8568.jpg

We had a small amount of time before out FP for BTMRR so we went in search for something to drink and the kids were hungry again already. Bruce and I got frozen lemonades…yum, and the kids got water, chips and found the candy store and got something there as well.

It’s starting to get warm now. :sunny: :sunny: Zack is starting to complain of this. Ok, it’s JULY, in Florida and you’re wearing BLACK!!! This will be an ongoing conversation.

Just a little note….each morning, we gave the kids an envelope with money for the day. We bought their breakfast and dinner and the money was for lunch, munchies and whatever else. It sure saves going for the wallet all the time and keeps the budget in line.
I thought it was funny that Zack made a comment to me that this place was expensive. It’s amazing how they realize these things when it’s “their own money” they are spending.

So off we go to BTMRR, this is a great ride!! Just looking at my notes I realized that we did ride this twice but I don’t remember when the second time was. I only remember because the second time I rode with Zack and we laughed a lot on it. The second time riding I decided to put my hands up in the air and I came out of my seat and slammed into the lap bar….yep….that’s going to leave a mark!! OH and it did….huge bruise!!

Off we go now to visit the happyhaunts at the HM. Katie was actually nervous about going on this. Zack kept asking if anything was going to jump out at him. They wanted all of us to ride in the same Doom Buggy…ahhhh sorry, we won’t fit. They then asked if I could go with Katie and Bruce with Zack….no, sorry, this is me and dad’s make out ride. HEHEHEHE I just love to gross them out! :rotfl: :rotfl:
We all survived the HM and bid a farewell to the happyhaunts.

It’s now time for lunch. Zack insists we find a place inside to eat. You know with that black shirt….he is hot after all. We had already decided to eat at Cosmics. Off we go to Tomorrowland. Before heading in to eat, Bruce and Katie go and get FP for SM.

We all get out food of choice and sit to eat. Katie scammed Disney and got a kids meal, I salad I believe. The rest of us got burgers.

Before heading to ride Space, we went and got FP for Buzz.

Making our way into the belly of the Mt. to catch our spaceship, we speed past those non-fastpass people….suckers!!!
We get up to the loading dock and I noticed as I was gazing into the darkness of the ride that there were glowing worm type things up there. Bruce was so kind to explain to me that those were the “spacerockets.” Ohhhhhhhh ok.
Boy, first French fries….now glowing worms!!! And I’m not even drinking!! HONEST.

I must say, Space Mt. is one of the greatest rides!! While riding it, just when you think you’re going to go one direction, you slam the other way!! GREAT ride! We all walked off of the ride with the adrenaline pumping! Zack wanted to go right back on but we didn’t have FP and we were NOT going to stand in line for a hour..well that caused some attitude! Sorry…..on to the next ride.

Attitude from Bruce...he hates to have his picture taken!

At some point in here somewhere, we were walking along and some little kid, probably about 7 or 8 came up and gently took a hold of my hand. I looked down at him as he looked up at me and with a horrid look on his face, he jerked his hand back! Needless to say he wasn’t really paying attention and thought I was his mom. I kept my eye on him and saw that he finally hooked up with his mom and saw that she had the same color teal tank as me. Poor kid, I could see that he was so embarrassed!!

It’s time for Buzz but Bruce and the kids were adamant about getting FP for Stitch. I tried….honestly….I TRIED to tell them it wasn’t worth it. I told them all I read on these boards about just how bad it was. Still, we got our FPs and moved our way over to ride Buzz.

Bruce beat me by a mile on this ride. I mean BEAT me!! It was just so bad! The ride however was a lot of fun.

We came off and headed to Stitch. IT’S DOWN!!! YAY!! :cool1: :cool1: I’m mean….oh darn….sorry Bruce, sorry kids.. heh heh heh.

It was just about time for the 3:00 parade and I missed it in April so I really wanted to see it. I was about the ONLY one of us that wanted to see it. There was some attitude but hey….I have been doing what you have wanted….I WANT to see the parade. Sit, watch it and LIKE IT!! We found a spot and staked out our piece of brick sidewalk. We sat for about 30 minutes or so, had something to drink. It was VERY hot by this time, as we were standing and waiting….I was starting not to feel too good.
I tried to fight it, shake it off but decided I needed to sit down when the little black spots where starting to cloud my vision. :worried: :worried:

Coming up next…did I see the parade that I had wanted to see? Stay tuned! popcorn::

Another great installment. :)
In the pic on BTMRR it looks like Zach was fixing his hair. Teenagers, gotta love 'em.
The picture of your DH in his hat is so cute. Has anyone told him he kind of looks like Joe Peschi. (spelling ?)

OH thank you so much for making me laugh!! Zack WAS fixing his hair....he did this ALL WEEK!! ALL DAY!! Constantly picking and fixing his hair!!

I just asked Bruce....he said YES...he has had people tell him that. However he doesn't have Joe's accent OR his bank account! Trust me on that one!

Ok, where did I leave off?? Oh yes, parade, heat and black spots.

Just as the parade was in sight, I needed to sit down before I passed out. I had been drinking a bottle of water and decided that I should use some to cool myself down. I drizzled some on my legs, arms and down the back of my neck. I did not see most of the parade….I did see Cinderella and her Prince though. We did not have curb side seats; we were more up against the fence at the Tomorrowland side of the circle in front of the castle.

100_8613.jpg

Just about as the parade was finishing up I stood up and said “ok, time to leave.”

We followed the parade down Main Street and made our way out of the park.

On our way back to the hotel I asked who was going swimming. Anyone…..anyone….HELLO?? Bruce finally said he would go with me. I asked the kids. No, Katie was tired and Zack only does what Katie does. Mind you…when we said we were going to Florida, the first thing Zack was excited about was the pool at the hotel. Besides, Katie had to call her own Prince Charming…..AGAIN.

Tell me people, what did we ever do without cell phones??? How did we survive our teenage years with a phone attached to our hip??

We arrived back at the hotel and the kids collapsed onto the beds. Sure you don’t want to go swimming?? Nope. Ok… we are going.

Bruce and I got our bathing suits on, grabbed our mugs and off we went.
I could not wait to get into that pool and cool off! We found a couple of chairs that were half in the shade; I stripped off my cover up and was ready. Bruce said he was going to go and get something to drink. “Oh, yea, can you fill mine for me please?? Poweraide….thanks babe!!”
He went off to the food court and I jumped into the pool. Ahhhhhhhh …..hmmmmm Kind of warm, not too refreshing….

I paddled around a bit and Bruce came back. He went over to put down drinks and take off his sneakers and t-shirt. He started walking toward the pool when the lifeguard made an announcement that everyone had to exit the pool for some “unscheduled pool maintenance”
Poor Bruce!!! The look on his face was saying, “you have GOT to be kidding me!!”
So close but yet so far away!!

I hauled my pooh size butt out of the bathtub….ahhh I mean pool and went to join Bruce.
We sat and enjoyed our cool refreshing drink while we talked about the morning and watched the lifeguards milling around the pool edge.
Our attention now was on what the lifeguards were doing. They seemed to be doing the Rock, Paper, Scissors thing trying to decide just who was going to be the lucky person to skim the pool. After watching for some time, it finally dawned on us what exactly the “unscheduled” problem was.
Did you know that poop floats???
OHHHHH GROSS!!! Now I understand, little kids don’t know any better and accidents happen but that’s just nasty!!
The unlucky guard that lost the Rock, Paper, Scissors, managed to skim all the floaties out of the pool and they shocked the water with some chemicals.

Some time later, when they decided that the pool had been decontaminated, they reopened it.
Did we go back in?? I know you all thinking that!! Well, yes, we did.
It was at the totally opposite end of the pool that we were in anyway.

After some much needed rest and relaxation, hair fixing, boyfriend talking, attitude adjusting, we had dinner at the food court before heading back to the park.
We get back to the park and of course I had to go through the bag check line. Can you believe someone was hauling one of those white Styrofoam coolers into the park….FILLED WITH BEER!!! Needless to say, security confiscated it. I really hope they return it to me on the way out…..Hey, I was thirsty!!!

We arrived back at the park and headed back to Tomorowland. OHHHH lucky us, Stitch was back up!! Yipppeeee Yahooooey!! We pulled out FP out of our pocket and got into line. As we stood waiting for our turn, we noticed some commotion. We turned to the standby line were we saw fists flying!! OH a fight!!! Another Disney Magic Moment!!
There were a couple of teenage kids….couldn’t really see. I heard that was one girl and one boy. It settled for a moment and then started again. There was another woman who was screaming at them. She had a small child that was very close to this and could have gotten hurt.
Well that was exciting!!

The door to the Stitch ride was now opening….no turning back now. We went in, watch the little preshows and went to take our seats.
I think what I hated most about this ride was that when the lights went out and it was pitch black, everyone was screaming….for NO REASON!!! So Stupid!!

We managed to live to tell the tale of Stitch and was dumped out into the, “oh look….a giftshop!! What a concept!!” We actually bought something here. Our sister-in-law asked us to get her a Stitch mug so we found a great one here and had it shipped to the hotel.

From here, Zack really wanted to go on Space again. Being as there was a 50 wait and the parade was due to start sooner then that, I passed on it. What can I say, I love Parades!!
The three of them went off to that while I went my way. I told them to call me when they got off.

First thing I did was to head towards the Castle, took some picture and I went up through and stopped at the shop inside there and looked at all the beautiful crystal things in there.

100_8616.jpg

I then made my way to the shop just outside Philharmagic. There was a great t- shirt there that Bruce liked so I went back to buy it for him.
The shirt says, “I’m in a Fowl Mood.”

I stopped and took some pictures of the Carousel.
100_8619.jpg

Soon I got a call from Bruce saying that Katie was heading my way, she decided she didn’t want to stand in line anymore. Apparently, the line was taking a lot longer then what was quoted. Bruce was about ready to leave himself but Zack got all POed and wanted to ride!! They ended up standing in line for about 1 ¼ hours with Zack not saying a word!! OHhhh that attitude!!

I told Bruce that I would meet Katie in front of the castle. After some agonizing moments we finally found each other. There were so many people I was afraid she would never find me!!

We walked over to Liberty Square by the Hall of Presidents to watch the parade. Bruce and Zack finally called us and we told them where we were. They made it over by the end of the parade.

When the parade was over, we found a seat there in Liberty Square while Bruce went off to find drinks. Wishes would be starting soon.
We adored the show and shed a few tears, ok, so I shed a few tears. I’m a crier, just like Mel Happyhaunt!! Criers Unite....right Mel??

We decided now to try and get onto Pirates, there had been a mile long line there all day and refuse to stand in it.
100_8586.jpg

By this time it was a walk on and there were very few people there. I did notice that the music was a bit different and didn’t seem as Yo ho hoey as usual. When we came to the first Captain Jack I was SHOCKED at how real he looked. I seriously thought he was a real person standing there. After passing him….I turned around in my seat to watch him to see if he continued to move as he was or if would reach up to scratch his nose or adjust his boxers. I guess he wasn’t real. BUT gosh, he looked it!! GREAT JOB DISNEY!!

We left the park by 10:45 just before the final Specto parade. We had to stand on the bus back to the hotel and I was so tired but managed to stay on my feet.

We were all in bed by midnight with a 6:30 wake up call confirmed….they wished us Magical Dreams and we all went to sleep dreaming of TOT.

Coming up next…..Lunch at Primetime, a water bottle blowout and a Sleeping (?) tourist.
