First things first...we stayed at port orleans riverside so it was our first time at non monorail hotel. Anyway we had requested oak manor top floor but when we got to online Check-In line the line was about the same as regular check in but who cares we were at disney right.? The lady at desk was great and said she had me in alligator bayou building #14 which I know is heavily requested because of location. I asked her if she had anything in oak manor top floor and she not only found me room AND it was ready at 11am and the bayou room wasnt So, my question is why do they bother asking you what time you will be arriving and take room requests if they're not going to look at it? Room was clean and our maid hugged my hubby every time she saw him cuz he tipped her. All the employees were super. The food court always seemed real messy and i had pasta with chicken that i promptly spit out of my mouth. The carrot cake and magic bar was fab though. The other thing was quiet pool next to our building felt dirty. There was a lot of minute white particles in there. It wasnt clear like pool should be. Every time i got out i ran to take shower but im kind of a goof about germs. But who cares...I'm at disney right. We get on bus and go to epcot to meet son and daughter in law at Epcot for lunch at chefs de France. You have to love the french. Butter cream and cheese. What's not to love? I'm ignoring my heart pleading with me to stop. Oh and creme brulee for desert. We had free dining but upgraded to deluxe and boy was it deluxe. More later on the food and the busses and the big fat butt in my face on a bus you couldn't move on from magic kingdom to por. Seriously ...there was no where for my face to turn. And of course every time the bus stopped the butt banged in my face...

KdSo, after epcot we go back to room, shower and change and get a taxi to take us to flying fish at boardwalk. Btw taxi fares in average were about $10 per trip, not including tip and we meet son and dil who were staying at french quarter (they had no problems with busses at all). The flying fish was incredible in every way. We actually ended up going back to it instead of le cellier on Monday. I was very proud of son and dil as I wanted themto try new things. He had duck and she had cheese board for appetizers. Hubby had "the best mussells he ever had" and believe me he's had a lot. I had a boring caesar salad but was best I have had. Son and dil devoured signature red snapper, I had scallops that melted in my mouth and hubby had char grilled steak. He said same thing...best he ever had and he must have had 8 steaks at disneyworld restaurants. Dessert was sublime. My almond creme brulee with almond brittle and biscotti on side. Hubby had "best apple tart and toffee ice cream he ever had". I will upload pics when I figure out how. My son had a trio of chocolate creations incuding one that had hot pepper and one with edible chocolate paper that said flying fish. When were ready to go...huge downpour so we went to front of boardwalk and took a cab to epcot. We had got fast passes for soarin and got right on. Boy did we get some nasty looks. It was awesome! It was late magic hours and all the rides were packed so we did spaceship earth and mission space and were exhausted as we had taken early flight that day so went to por busstop and line was huge. I looked at other lines and none of them were that long. As a matter of fact, we saw value resorts busses everywhere. So a bus finally comes, lets everyone off and takes a clipboard and proceeds to start writing stuff on clipboard. This lasted well over 20 minutes and the line was getting longer and longer and the crowd as getting madder and madder. One guy went up and asked the driver and he basically ignored him. I understand there needs to be maintenance but is it really a good idea to do in front of a line of hot tired people? Finally we pile in and I mean packed like sardines but who cares...we are finally going home...in a cattlecar. This is the other thing-i read that at busy times por river and french quarter would have separate busses. But inever happened. The next morning we waited for bus for hs and waited about 20 minutes. I can live with this.star wars mania was insane so we rode tower of terror 3 times and got out of dodge. We get to busstop and waited 27 minutes inthe hot sun and no bus. We see cabs and ask one to take us to hotel. The first one we went to, the guy was sleeping. Second guy said...no he will take you(the guy who was sleeping. He bangs on window to wake the guyp. The driver wakes up and we tell him where we are staying and he says he has to plug into gps???are ya kidding dude, its a disney hotel. This whole time I am keeping an eye on our bus stop...still no bus. It was about 2pm. The fourth time he tried to put it in my husnand said he would rather walk, called them some choice names abd all o a sudden our bus showed up.this all took about 45 minutes. I don't know about you, but its unacceptable to me. We skipped lunch at brown derby becauuse we were still so full from flying fish the night before.we went back to hotel and then took a cab to citricos for dinner. I know some people rave about the busses but like I said we had always stayed at monorail so had no idea. I will also say that enough people must have complained because the last 3 days they redeemed themselves. We did not know of the insanity that we were about to go through with the busses after magic kingdom that awaited us. More later.
