Fellow Amuck-Makers,
Ok, let's discuss some stuff whilest Beth is away:
Now that I am part of the read- and get others to read- Twilight cult maybe I, too, need to FINALLY break down and read
H A R R Y P O T T E R
I liked the first movie with all of it's cuteness (Loved the moving newspaper, the secret city, all the kiddie stuff)
but then it just got kind of ... i dunno... bogged down in story and not as much fun stuff. Of course, this is from the "watched the movie" only perspective. Maybe I'll try the book-work route. LOL
Ok, let's discuss Halloween Movies:
Of course there's the classic: HOCUS POCUS!! If you haven't seen this movie, you truely MUST. It's great for ALL AGES.
Thanks for the Link, Lynn

Have you guys seen HALLOWEENTOWN??? It's another one that, in my opnion, is a great classic (even some of the rest of the series..all the way to Halloween Town the college years can be pretty entertaining.)
Halloweentown
Also, how bout Tower of Terror the original movie?? I'm sure most of you know that the ride was based on this movie but have you seen it? It's really good!
Some ToT background trivia... Here is a picture of the hotel that the Tower of Terror hotel was based on.
Hollywood Hotel
On a recent trip to LA we passed the Hollywood Tower as we were zipping down the freeway. I recognized the name of it from the movie and happened to have my camera out and snapped this pic! I thought it was cool that it was a hotel with the same name. What I didn't know is that I was actually capturing the original! If you look close in the picture above you can see that the signs are the same.
My quick-pic of the Hollywood Tower!
Another GREAT Halloween movie (actually there are two.. part 1 and part 2) called Scary Godmother...
Incredible Graphics..a great movie!
Here is a clip: You can see how pretty the graphics are. It's a really great story. Funny, sweet, not too scary but plenty Halloween'y. It's a story where the tiny little girl wins!

I think I'm going to buy some sort of middle of the road version of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" to play at our Halloween Party. The Disney version seems like it might be too short (does anybody know how long it is?) and the "Sleepy Hollow" with Johnny Depp, if I remember correctly, is extremely scary....Anybody have any other suggestions??
Any other movies I should put on our Halloween list? I'm looking for Tween scary... but not too scary.
Thanks!
Melissa
EDIT: This is a repeat post from mommaU4 PTR titled Amuck, Amuck, Amuck.. there may be more dis-cussion there ;-)
