I just got an email that the Flight Shop is having a sale on their 10 day pass.

Adult reg $391 On sale for $301 and kida are regular $313 now $237.

The sale starts March 1 and the tickets have to be used between May 1st and oOctober 31, 2003

The 10 Day World Ticket offers unlimited admission to all four theme parks, the three Disney water parks and Disney Quest.
PLUS free Character Breakfast.

I used them for my passes last year and I think shipping was around $80.00

Here is the site http://www.themeparkland.com/

Remember that sale prices do not start until March 1. 2003.

Do you really mean shipping is 80 DOLLARS? If this an international company I can understand some increase in shipping charges, but 80 dollars?

yes, it was $80 US money. I know if was way overpriced but overall it was a good deal. I am not sure what they are charging for shipping now. I know it is free if you are in the UK.

The 10 Day World Pass is a great ticket, especially if you plan on being at WDW for several weeks. It is marketed to the UK market but made available stateside through international sales and even one US reseller, Paramount International Travel.

Although $80.00 is steep, I believe they ship UPS Insured to the states. At least you can have peace of mind that if the passes are lost in transit, at least it won't be coming out of your pocket.

And even with the $80.00 shipping, you will be receiving a meal voucher good for one character breakfast per ticket purchased. If need be, consider that a "wash" against the $80.00.

I have a couple of trips to WDW lined up for this summer and over Xmas, so we are going AP's for that trip. But if we weren't for that, I'd be all over the World Pass. It worked perfectly for us last year and is a fantastic bargain.

My two cents, Steve

I have never bought anything from outside the US. Do they take my American credit card number? How do I figure out the cost in American dollars? Do you make the whole transaction online or do you call on the phone? Sorry for my ignorance...

At the sale price from the UK firm Flight Shop, including the $80 shipping, a family of two adults and two kids will pay $1156.

In the other scenerio using Paramount Travel in the US, the price would be $335 A and $275 C or $1220 plus $15 shipping =$1235.

The only difference betweet the two firms would be the time it takes to ship the tickets to you. If you have enough time the UK firm sure looks like the best deal.

As far as credit cards, the amount you pay is calculated in US dollars. We used AMEX in London last year and they don't charge you a service charge to convert the money to dollars. In Paris this year Master Charge charged us 33 cents a transaction. Certainly not enough not use it.

is the original price in?? I am going to be purchasing 4 adult 10 day world passes and even with the $80 shipping it would save me a some. If the numbers mentioned here are correct it would save me $71 on the passes. It seems the breakfast vouchers are more limited then the ones from Paramount but what the heck, for $71 in my pocket it's worth it. thanks

on continuous days or may they be spread out over a period of time. If so, in what length of time must you use them?

You have to use them within 20 days of the first use. You can skip days, they dont have to be in a row but unused days do expire. You will also have to do the finger scan so you wil not be able to share them .

Here is a website where you can convert the currancy:

jcanary, the original adult priice is 391.

I am intrigued with this site's offer.

I have signed up for their newsletter and received notice of the upcoming sale, go to page: http://www.themeparkland.co.uk/email_offers/disney-170203.htm

A family of four, at the current money conversion rate, can get (4) 10 day World passes, including a Character Meal for $1,078.04 TOTAL - even adding $80.00 for shipping, handling and insurance brings the grand total to $1,158.04.

This seems to be the best ticket price option reviewing ALL vendor offerings - even if you are not planning on going to the parks for 10 days - if I plan on doing eight days in the parks - this is still the best option.

With the Character Breakfast, this ticket is better than a 7 Day PHP.

Has anyone purchased through the Flight Shop in the past - with success?

Has anyone found a better deal than this?

I'd like some more input from others here - before I take the plunge.

Braque,

Both DVC California and I bought these for our trip last year. They worked great.

Braque,
The 7 day PHP from Paramount International also includes a Character Breakfast. If you are not going to use all that the 10 day World Pass offers, I think the 7 day PHP is a better deal for you. Also the World pass expries 20 days after you first use it and the 7 PHP never expires. The 7 day includes 4 options as well as the breakfast.

Personally I prefer tickets that don't expire so you have that option if you don't use all the days.

I suppose for people who have a detailed itinerary the above may be the best deal.

I've found the whole ticket thing, what's available, who likes what and so on quite fascinating.

The child 10-day (like AP) do not scan the child's fingertips do they? this could make the child passes much more useful, no ornriness intended.:bounce:

Nope, just the adults do the finger scan.

I'm sorry, could someone explain the finger print scanning to me? I've never heard of such a thing!

You just put your index finger and middle finger in a "V" shape and push them into a slot until the bottom part of the "V" touchs a bar. To be honest, no-one has convinced me yet about this piece of technology. DH and I frequently got tickets mixed up last year and found we had used each other's to get in and the machine still let us pass!

Icy-Dog,

Paramount's site provides the folowing description of their 7 Day PHP pass:

Disney's 7 days Park Hopper Plus
7 days of admission to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Disney-MGM Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom with freedom to visit multiple parks on the same day. Each day of the 7-DAY PARK HOPPER PLUS is used at any park, constitutes one full day of use. Unused days may be saved for your next visit.
PLUS: a choice of FOUR (4) of the following (use now or on your next visit): 1 admission to Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, or 1 admission to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, or 1 admission to Disney's River Country Water Park (open seasonally) or 1 admission to Downtown Disney Pleasure Island, or 1 admission to Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex (Admission to certain sporting events at Disney Wide World of Sports Complex may require an additional admission charge).
Use of the Walt Disney World Resort Transportation system (includes monorails, ferry, boats and motorcoaches).

Where can I find the offer including a free character breakfast?

With paramount at $1,103 for 2A/2C for 7 days and flight shop at $1,158 for 2A/2C for 10 days - a CB can make the difference. $55 dollars more for up to 3 additional days for a family of four - hmmmm. We plan on using all 7 PHP days if we go that route - or stretch to 9 days on the World pass - so, unless someone gets sick, I don't mind that the 10 Day passes expire.

Still researching our options - anyone know how long the March 1st sale at the flight shop will be going on? They have not returned my emails.
