The Backscratcher has Vodka, Rum,
Grand Marnier and Fruit Juice according to Google  It comes in a tall glass with a backscratcher sticking out of it. Dale much preferred that to the LapuLapu.

Oh my....that sounds like one crazy strong drink! Is the back scratcher there so your companions can wake you up when you pass out??????

I thought about just keeping quiet (in hindsight that might have been better) but I just didn't like that she was trying to bully me at my happy place!:sad2:

I don't blame you and that whole interaction was just too weird for words!

That is really awful! I was reading the posts that followed, thinking 'oh I must reply, that was terrible!' and I read the post from you that said something about suggesting 'snacking around the world' and I must be really tired because I thought it said SMACKING around the world, :rotfl: so there's a little humor to defuse the situation. lol

Sorry again.......

I am so glad I only got smacked once and not all the way around the world :rotfl:

Thank you though. It was just one of those really strange things. I guess that woman was just having a really bad day

I was so not expecting you to say that....what a bully! My sister is non-confrontational, I however, have no trouble with it....much to Jasmine's embarrassment at times! Did I ever tell you about the woman who walked right up to the front of the line where we were standing for Jasmine to see Belle and Beast and told her kids to get in front of her?

The whole thing was pretty surprising!

She cut in front of Jasmine?! How rude! What did you do?

We were wandering around in France and a CM came up to Jasmine and said if you stand right here, I'm just about to bring out Belle and Beast. As you know, my favorites!! So there we stood and all of a sudden these kids were in front of us...I don't even know what happened. So I let them know the back of the line was behind us in a very nice way, there kids after all right? Before I know it mama's back and gets them out of line and tells them to stand in front of Jasmine. The 3 of us just looked at each other! I, once again, told her the line up was behind us....she didn't skip a beat...she said we were here first and this is where we're gonna stay! I was speechless....Jasmine looked up at me and said mom that's not fair....and I looked right at the mom and without even thinking said "well dear, you can hardly expect the kids to know manners when their mother is clearly an idiot" .... not my finest moment, I couldn't believe after I did it in front of not only my child but other children, but something in me just snapped. It was a lot of that kind of stuff our whole trip that year and they were tarnishing my view that when you're in Disney, everyone is happy! Jasmine will still tell that story, she said she was so happy I said something....they didn't move, I was done though, nothing else I would have said would have made a difference so we just waited to see our fav's. Unbelievable what people will do though isn't it

I love these stories because it reminds me of a trip where I stayed at Pop with my GF and our 4 boys. We were first in line for the bus to MK but these two kids walked around the front of the rope and stood in front of us. Then the mom and dad walked up there. The mom said, "Oh we know you were there first. We are just going to stand here". :confused3

When the bus loaded the kids go bounding up the stairs with the parents right behind them. I, of course, was right on their back as the bus driver gave this obvious look of disapproval. But she wispered to me, "I saw what happened", so when it came time to unload she held those people up so we could get off first.

The funny thing was this was a big, tall family so there was no way I was gonna mess with them. They were very imposing looking - even the kids. And I think they knew it. I wonder how many other people they "sized" out of their way.

WoW! You go girl :rotfl2:
I totally could have used you as backup with my crazy lady

But seriously what is it with some people that think the rules or even proper etiquette don't apply to them :confused3

Good for that driver! :thumbsup2 If CMs see something like that they should say or do something but I'm sure it can be intimidating for them too.

Your update bothered me so much I phoned my sister this morning and told her about it! I said I gasped out loud as I read it! She was shocked! I said to her "I don't know what I would have done to be honest, I think I would have been so shocked....she replied with, oh no, your reflexes would have taken over and you would have hit her back:rotfl2: I hate to admit it, but I think she might be right:rolleyes1

You are absolutely right, if anything, I bend over backwards for people, I try to treat people like I want to be treated. :rolleyes1 Wonder what situations we'll get into on our next trips:confused3

After she hit me she walked off so fast I didn't really have time to react :confused3 When I left the bathroom and found Caitlin and my mom I was still kind of in shock.

Let's hope we only encounter pleasant people on our trips! :goodvibes

Holy Moly! Not the ending to the story I was expecting! Sometimes I laugh it off, and say things like "hahaha, I know you won't believe it but I'm not the end of the line. It's all the way back there! Isn't that crazy!?!" Really loud, making sure everyone around knows she cut. Or I ask questions loudly, and probably rudely, like yell ahead of me, "are you guys in TWO lines or just ONE?" Or tap the people in front of me while addressing the woman who cut "are you guys together?" obviously hoping they say no. I have no idea what I would have done if someone HIT me!!! Maybe grab her arm and ask if we need security to settle this for us? Wow. Just wow.

It didn't end the way I expected either :rotfl:

Well the end is finally near! We are up to our last day! (but no worries because our next trip is just 10 days away! :cool1:)

Our last day began very early because we needed to pack up and do airline checkin before we headed over the Magic Kingdom for breakfast with the 100 Acre Wood gang!

We got to the airline checkin counter at 7:15 and we were the only ones there so we were helped immediately. They quickly checked us in and we were on our way! (isn't this a great service?! So much better than waiting in line at the airport :thumbsup2)

As luck would have it, a bus was ready and waiting for us at the bus stop. We happened to be the only people there too so we did not have to endure any sighs or eyerolls as grandma tried valiantly to parallel park for one of the last times. And in case you're wondering, no she never did get the hang of that

When we got to the MK we got in the Crystal Palace line and began looking for Michele (MyMuse) who we had invited to join us for breakfast. We found her right around 8:00 and we all headed into the park.

Now MK is my very favorite park to begin with and the magic is NEVER lost on me but it is even better when you're inside the park without the crowds! Walking right down the middle of Main Street USA is even more exciting when you feel as though you have the whole place to yourselves! :goodvibes

As we ventured towards the CP we happened upon some PP guys just waiting to take our pictures. Who were we to disappoint them? So here are some of our pictures....

Of course we had to get the obligatory castle pic

Then we headed over to

and I took this

while waiting for our table.

At around 8:25 we were escorted inside

to our waiting table. After setting down our things we made a beeline to the buffet. The buffet is enormous and we had no trouble filling our plates! (if you ever go here make sure you get the puffed french toast! YUM!!)

Here is some of the wonderful food we enjoyed!

Of course no charcter meal is complete without characters! We enjoyed the company of Pooh and all his pals! They even made their way to our table a couple times! :)

We had a great meal and enjoyed sharing it with Michele. We finished up around 9:45 and the 4 of us decided to head over towards Liberty Square for a new meet and greet. BUT you'll have to wait for Caitlin's update to hear about our photo session with the royal couple.

Seeing all those food pictures made my stomach growl! Crystal Palace is such a great way to end a trip - and start a day at MK!!!

LOVE the empty park pics...someday.....
Looks like a great breakfast.
I know who you're about to meet! :thumbsup2

Sorry we made you hungry  After seeing those pictures it made me regret giving up our DP adr for Kona on our next trip!

Fun update. I always think hugging Eeyore is the best. So cuddly! We've never tried CP for a meal, maybe one day in the future. But Tigger always freaks out Lily a bit. Maybe he's too bouncy and energetic for her? And doesn't Piglet always look just a wee bit too flourescent?

Thanks! We love EEyore! If you go to CP I suggest breakfast. We aren't too crazy about the lunch buffet.

As Lily gets older he probably won't scare her but I imagine he's a little too bouncy for a preschooler :) We saw him tpp I'm not sure why there aren't any pics though :confused3
