Hi Queen! Glad you're all caught up :) We had seen the bags before we went and were debating them for weeks before our trip  When Caitlin suddenly had money the day before our trip the first thing she said is "I'm buying us those bags"
TrendD has so many cute things for girls like Caitlin and Jasmine! The Dumbo shirt is really cute and they had a similar one with Pinochhio that was cute too :cutie:

Love the bags, and what a great idea for the vinyl Mickey. I can't wait to see what it looks like with the siggies. I think you've started a fun trend here!! ;)

Thank you!
I love how it looks :lovestruc I took about 4 different colored sharpies so I like all of the different colors on the plain white Mickey

love your purchases! gotta love those change checks!:goodvibes

Thank you!
Oh I do :lmao:

As you may recall on this trip Caitlin and I took over 1000 pictures all together. Of course we are not going to print those all out but one of my favorite hobbies is making photo gifts. I happened to have codes from 2 different photo companies (Piccaboo and Shutterfly) for free photo books so since we've been home I've made both and only had to pay shipping! :cool1: One I made for grandma for part of her Mother's Day gift and the other was for us and completely dedicated to AK since we took so many pics there. I must say though that I was not thoroughly impressed with their work. If you are going to do a photo book IMO Kodak has the best products.Last Christmas they had a ton of free codes out and I made lots and lots of gifts and the quality of everything was excellent. Ok, so there's my little public service announcement of the day :rotfl:

Hope to have an unpdate soon! :)

The photo-books sound like such a cute idea ! Only having to pay shipping sounds even better ! Can't wait to here what Grandma thinks about hers ? Sorry the quality didn't turn out as well as you would have liked :(

I do usually print out all our pictures and I would say we had close to as many as you had with our photo-pass pictures included last year . I usually buy a photo album w/ the year on it to display them in and last year I should have bought 2 ! Hope I can pick up another 09 album at the Character Premier Outlet in St. Augustine , FL on our trip this year :)

I'm sure my mom will love the book. I think I'm a little more critical since I've ordered from different sites and have others to compare them to BUT for 8$ I can't complain too much

That's great that you print them all and put them in albums! Those will be great keepsakes for your kids as they age! When Caitlin was little we were terrible about taking pictures and then not getting the film developed :sad2: I regret not being better about that! So keep it up :thumbsup2

Great report ladies!

Ok, I am so not a handbag girl (I know, I don't even like to handbag shop!:scared1:), but, I have to say...I am dying to see the black purse with multi color mickey heads!!!! That sounds like something I need to have!
;)

It's okay I am not a make up or accessory girl (except for handbags) so it's fine ;)

Updated because I decided not to be lazy and looked up a pic

The one I want is shaped like the white bag I bought

I love my purse it's lightweight and can hold a lot so I have used it non stop since I got back

I've used Shutterfly and thought it was so-so. If the pic was not top notch quality they printed it even worse. I have one I made through Photoworks that turned out beautiful, but without the coupon it would have been pretty expensive.

I'll have to give Kodak a try. When you get a code in the future will you share it??? :)

Sure thing Melissa! The Shutterfly book is really small which is really my own complaint with them. Picaboo was difficult to use and ended up including a couple pics I thought I deleted :confused3

At Christmas time Kodak kept putting out codes and I also got a Kodak "House Party" (if you like freebies and aren't familiar with House Party look it up online) so I got a ton of freebies.

Photoworks is good I made a calendar or something on their site :)

Good to know about the Kodak photobooks. Personally, I think the shuterfly books improve in quality when the larger sizes are ordered. Looking forward to an update ladies! popcorn::

Ok, I'm all caught up, and ready for more. Love the TR so far. Just FYI Dawn, we've found new matching UP shirts. These are Hawaiian shirts with Dug, Russel, Mr. F and Kevin hiding behind foliage. Best of all, we picked them up at the Disney Store at Great Lakes Crossing. Also, I'm uber jealous of those D and B bags you guys bought. I'm going in May and will have my cold little hands all over one.:rotfl2:

Aw how cute! I bet those shirts are adorable! I didn't know Great Lakes Crossing had a Disney Store. We haven't been there in a long time but just might need to venture out there!

The bags are very tempting and for us anyway, impossible to resist! We're already thinking what we want to buy in August! :rolleyes1

Hey Gang! Dawn and Caitlin here with another joint post. Ready to hear all about our first FULL DAY? Well, here we go....

Our day began bright and early at 6am. No sleeping in for this crew. We believe in getting going early so we can make the most of our Disney Days! The first thing i must report, for those who were on our ptr, grandma did not snore! :cool1: This was a major improvement from our last trip and really helped us to get a good night's sleep!

We took turns getting ready (yes 3 ladies sharing a single sink and mirror takes a while) and by 7:30 we were off to Classic Hall for breakfast. Grandma and I both chose the egg kids meal with side orders of potatos.

disneymypictures116-1.jpg

Caitlin just got milk and juice and ate a Cheerios cup she brought from home.
disneymypictures114-1.jpg

The 3 of us split a mini loaf of banana bread.
disneymypictures117-1.jpg

The breakfast was good and earned a :thumbsup2 We found the kids meal to be a nice size and quite filling and a fraction of the cost of the adult meals.

Just before 8am we hit the bus stop. How do I know what time it was? Well do you know what happens at Pop at 8am? At 8am it is time to TWIST! Yep just after we got to the bus stop the Twist came on and Caitlin and I did our best twists despite the fact we seemed to be the only ones dancing :confused3 At 8:07 the bus arrived and there were only a couple other people at the stop and they were very patient as grandma drove on and struggled with her parallel parking (notice a pattern yet?) After a short and uneventful ride we arrived at DHS at 8:20! Since it was 40degrees and the park didn't open until 9 we were WAY TOO EARLY! In defense of my planning I am used to waiting about 20 minutes at WDW bus stops and the Pop bus system is just too efficient :rotfl: Anyway, after making our way through security we hit the will call window so we could trade grandma's GAD ticket (if you were in our ptr you remember we made blankets for project linus) for the fast pass option. We were the only people at will call and the whole process went really fast. Instead of giving us the ticket to use at the fp machines they gave us each 3 Donald's and 3 Daisy's. What are Donald's and Daisy's? Why ducks of course :rotfl2: (Sorry bad joke ) The Donald fp can be used for: Rock N Roller Coaster, Toy Story Midway Mania and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. The Daisy's could be used for Lights Motors Action Extreme Stunt Show, Star Tours and the Voyage of The Little Mermaid. Since our package came with 5 day tickets, and we later added day 6 for $3 each, using the fp option made sense and helped us avoid lines all day!

After our quick stop at will call we made our way to the turnstiles and we were so early we were able to be second in line at a turnstile on the far right. And then we had to wait...and wait..in the cold...but we were in the cold at DHS so I understand that we don't deserve too much sympathy! After a few minutes someone from American Idol came out to get the crowd excited. At around 8:45 the CMs let everyone in for rope drop.

momsdispics081.jpg

By this time we were so cold we decided to cut through the shops on the left side of the street and we ended up watching rope drop from there. Since we had all the fp we really didn't need to compete in the mad dash anyway. So we looked around the shop..

and just before 9 watched the rope drop ceremony. DHS rd pales in comparison the the MK but it is still fun. When the director called "Action"

disneymypictures140-1.jpg

Caitlin was off to explore an old hotel and travel as a rock band groupie while grandma and I paid a visit to the man who started it all....

I was on my way to ride two of my favorite TOT and RnR!

I was one of the only people walking towards TOT and not doing the TSM manic dash so that meant a very short line!

disneymypictures141-1.jpg

I walked through the queue pretty quickly but stopped to take pictures. After seeing so many pictures on the DIS I really wanted to take my time and enjoy all of the hardwork Disney puts into it's theming.

I think it would be awesome to sit there and play mahjong!

disneymypictures152-1.jpg

disneymypictures151-1.jpg

Once I got through the line I was ushered into the library and got ready to step into
disneymypictures159-1.jpg

I also noticed in the video that the toy the little girl is holding is a stuffed Mickey and every time they show her she is holding it! I thought this was awesome since it was a hidden Mickey I had never noticed before and I have been on this ride dozens of times!

My ride was awesome and I had a great time! I walked around the gift shop some taking more pictures and took pictures of the store window from the outside.
disneymypictures166-1.jpg

disneymypictures171-1.jpg

I then rocked my way over to RNR! I love this ride and I used to have a crush on Steven Tyler so needless to say I enjoy the Aerosmith theming! I have very good memories of this ride from when I went in junior high and we brought my friend Jackie and rode this ride 7 times in one day! I still have the opening video memorized! :lmao:

disneymypictures174-1.jpg

I found the Janet Jackson picture a little sexy for Disney :lmao:

Hidden Mickey!

disneymypictures175-1.jpg

I had always wanted a pic of this so I was excited to finally be taking it!

I have not seen any pictures of the inside line on the DIS so I felt that needed to be corrected :thumbsup2

And the end of the ride
disneymypictures183-1.jpg

I love this ride! I hope they never change the music group from Aerosmith! I mean some kids might not know who they are but with their own Guitar Hero game I feel that they are still relevant to younger people. Plus, who doesn't know "Walk this Way"?!

I leisurely strolled my way back to the designated meeting spot and took some pics in the Villains store.

Window gearing up for the arrival of Alice in Wonderland. I saw the movie and really enjoyed it I just found it to be very short and felt like it sped through the entire story.

Now my friend Danielle loves the villians so I tried to get tons of pictures for her!

After that short stop I made my way back to Pixar place. Meanwhile my mom and grandma......

While Caitlin was off being dropped by a rundown old elevator and flipping upside down on a crazy rollercoaster, grandma and I chose a much tamer way to entertain ourselves. We visited "One Man's Dream".
momsdispics084-1.jpg

I should start by saying my mom was a huge Disney fan since childhood (which she of course passsed to me) and Walt was a hero to her. Her best family memories are of Sunday nights eating popcorn with the family while watching "Wonderful World of Disney" on their new tv.(a tradition she continued when we were kids too) So as you might imagine she loved visiting this attraction which is a wonderful salute to Walt.

momsdispics086.jpg

(Mary Poppins is an alltime favorite of mine. Who doesn't love Julie Andrews?)

momsdispics087-1.jpg

(this almost looks as if walt were there)

momsdispics088-1.jpg

momsdispics089-1.jpg

(since we were going to the D23 party the next day I had to have a pic ofthe D23 room! Caitlin got that poster when she joined)

When we finished looking around we popped our heads in the theater but the movie wasn't showing and we were the only folks in the place so we just sat on a bench to talk while we waited for Caitlin. Almost immediately, a cm came up and asked if we'd like to see the film. We asked when it would be showing and they told us "whenever you want it to". How's that for Disney service? We gladly accepted and went into the theater for a private showing of One Man's Dream. We are saps so of course we were teary eyed by the end.
The timing could not have been more perfect because just after the movie ended we had a text from Caitlin saying she was ready to meet up! But we'll save that for another time.....
