So, if this is any indication of how this winter will be, I want out! :lmao: We had alot of snowbetween yesterday, last night and today. If it wasn't for my snowblower, I would have never had the energy to get out and take pics. Here are some from today. I see I have a little dust on the sensor. Makes a good watermark. :lmao: Not the best, but overall, I was pleased. I mainly used my new Sigma 10-20mm lens that I impulsively bought this week in preparation for our upcoming cruise! :yay:

Comments are always welcome. Hope you enjoy the pics.

I didn't bother to go swimming so no lifeguard was ok.

Nice work. I actually took my camera down to the harbor today but it was still too blustery to get anything. :cold:

Thanks guys. It was the first time in a LONG time that I took the camera out. Not really feeling the photography bug lately.

Linda, it was snowing all day here. I imagine it was the same up there. When I went to the cemetery, it was snowing real good but at the beach it was real light. I just rigged up my 1 gallon ziplock with a hole cut in it for the lens and shot that way. When I left the beach, I couldn't feel my toes! :lmao:

Nice pics.:thumbsup2

We were supposed to go to the Patriots game today, we had GREAT seats on the Patriots sideline but with a Noreaster coming it's not looking like we're going to make it, I'm so bummed and we were going to bring our nephew with us, his eyes lit up last week when we asked him if he wanted to go and now DH just had to call him to tell him we wouldn't be going.:sad2:

Very, very nice! How are you liking that new Sigma 10-20? I'll bet you'll find lots of uses for it on your cruise.
Brrrrrrrr-looks so cold, though. We're headed for a windchill of -15 today, but without the beauty of that snow.
It was too cold for me to take pictures of the outdoor park display last night.

Thanks for sharing.

Jeanne,

That is a bummer. Good weather at a Pats game is alot of fun but bad weather is terrible. I have been there for both. You are probably making the right choice. I have been to two games where it was pouring and it was NOTa good time.

Quick,

So far I really like the lens! I am not much of a wide angle person, but I think I will reallly grow to like this. I can't wait for the cruise to see what I can do with it more.

It's a site for sore eyes. I hate the cold, but I love seeing freezing weather up north. We need something to spark demand for oil and natural gas. This energy crisis (oil below $40/bbl!) is terrifying.

:lmao: Well, we are doing our part to use up as much of that oil and natural gas as we can this week.

Love the first, second and fifth. :thumbsup2

Down here in NJ we're feeling some of the effects of that storm that has been moving through....lots of ice, sleet, rain and the occassional snowflake. I would almost rather just have loads and loads of snow, at least that is pretty and fun to play in. Slush that turns to one thick layer of ice overnight isn't the best for snowmen. :goodvibes

Nice pictures Andy!! I wanted so badly to go out up here in NH and take pictures however...I have no camera at the present time!:sad2:
I have been without a camera since VETERAN'S Day!!
Christmas is in only 4 days and I have left it all up to my DH to get me another...I have HINTED that a Nikon D40 or even better D60 would be nice but in the same breath told him we really cant afford it. SO we shall see soon!!

I can't wait to see if you get any more pictures after the storm of the day today! :cool1:

That stinks! You are going to have to have your sister over for the whole holiday week! :lmao:

That would be nice!! We are actually going down to her house on the 30th...at least I should a nice new camera to take pictures with!!
I think I need to borrow my daughters Kodak Easy share and go take a few neighborhood pictures this afternoon!

Nice shots Andy. Looking forward to seeing your shots with the 10-20mm after your upcoming trip. I still have that lens high on my list.

We got about 12" on Friday and another 6" or so today. DW went out for a bit today with the kids, but I stayed inside. I did manage to snap a few from the front door, though I was to lazy to switch lenses. I used my 90mm f/2.8 lens and this is the best I got:

Never made it out today. Curling up with two blankets was far more appealing. :rotfl: Maybe tomorrow, LOL.

Wow Andy - beautiful - looks like you will be having a white christmas. So how do ya like the 10-20?

LOL. We tried to make it to Providence Place mall today but the snow was too much. We ended up at North dartmouth mall. What a let down. :lmao:

I am not sure how much I like the 10-20 but I am thinking that I like it. It seems nice and sharp, but it is the exact opposite of what I am used to shooting with. I like the artsy type shots that you can get though. It is nice and solid like the 30mm 1.4. I like that.

Well I get to fly home from Disney today to that. Ugh! They are really nice captures though! :thumbsup2 I hope to get my pictures from Disney up soon, I think I got some nice ones and drove my husband crazy in the interim.

Sorry to hear that you have to come home! :lmao: We are flying to FL on Friday and doing a 7 day cruise with 3 extra days in WDW just because we will be there. :cool1: I hope you brought your winter coats with you when you left. You will need them when you get off the plane.
