The financially irresponsible WDW trip! [June 25th: p.45, posts 668 & 669]

Great installments! I love that bit about Alice and the sticker trading with Minnie, too cute. Thanks for sharing. :)

A wonderful addition to your report. What a great picture of Snow White and little Snow White. The boys are such great sports to get their pictures taken too. It seems as kids get older they think everything is so uncool.
Glad you're feeling better.
Angela

What a beautiful walk this is and the theming, my God the theming! When I crave Disney World (and I do a lot!) it's this area all around World Showcase that makes my heart yearn.

Reading this made my heart literally ache! You have a way of expressing exactly what I feel about WDW (but doubt I could so eloquently voice!)

So this felt right and off we went and sure enough, we had the whole place to ourselves!! :yay:

I love the times when we just happen upon a quiet moment with characters. So glad you enjoyed it too!

She was quite annoyed with him, including sighing and rolling eyes, the works. She loved all the other characters though.....

Alice is so adorable, and such a personality!

Does anyone else do this? Pretend the goodies are for the kid when you know they won't even get a look in? :confused3 As if the food police are watching and judging my every move.

:lmao: GUILTY! Just today we were at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum, and I had such a hard time sharing my brownie! Really, I am terrible. I asked the boys if they wanted to go to the cafe for desserts, and they thought I was just the greatest mom ever, not knowing that I was really going to hurt someone if I didn't get chocolate. Had NOTHING to do with how well behaved they were being!

Great installments Deb! The pictures of Alice in her Snow White dress are priceless. Glad to hear things are settling down at work-- hope you now can find some time to just breeaaathe.....!:)

so happy to see 2 updates today!

glad to hear you're feeling better, Deb!

the photo of alice and snow white is precious!

Hi Miss Deb!!! :goodvibes
I am so sorry to hear about your strep and rash... but glad you have something to take to get better. I think you are wearing yourself out! You really need some R&R!!!
Having just gotten back, Epcot is still very fresh in my mind! I agree it is a very agreeable place. We didn't get to spend too much time exploring but I liked leaving stuff undone for our next trip (which is I don't know when?). Mostly though I really really love the picture of Alice and Snow White! Wow!!! I hope you framed it and put it in her room...what a great shot!! I loved TT too but Soarin is my very most favorite ride I have ever been on! :cheer2: I always wanted to know what its like to fly and now I know!
Thanks for the great installments again Deb! popcorn::

Yay! A report! Great to read. Great that you're feeling better, too!

Thanks andiepie! Glad you're still reading.

:woohoo: Thank you for rewarding us with two installments...and great installments at that!

Thanks for describing my installments as "rewards" Shark, I know other people would choose different words to describe them. :lmao:

I think it's so funny that they all took turns abusing Kermit. Especially the photo of Pluto with him in his mouth!

I know. It was very funny to watch. I've noticed a couple of times now that if we have a soft toy with us the characters give extra attention, like Alice's zebra with Snow White and then Kermit - it makes for great interraction.

Someday they will know how hard it can be to bring a child to something like that...

Oh yyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeessssss!!!!!!!!!!! Karma baby. Karma!!!

And have a wonderful holiday next week

Thanks Shark. We leave on Wednesday 4th. I'm looking forward to the break. It's gonna be a simple holiday - walking and swimming, nothing too extravagent but I definitely could do with the break!

:woohoo: Deb is Back with 2 installments :woohoo:

Aw thanks Melanie!

Glad you liked Cirque...that is something we have still never done but always mean to do. That is what keeps us going back to Disney.....the proverbial carrot right.......dangling out there something to draw you back & there is ALWAYS something new. I  Disney!!!!!!!!!!!!

So true!! I think Disney would always be exciting for us even if we went 100 times. Oh now I want to go there 100 times.

:lmao:

I think you'd love Cirque. Such a great show and definitely something everyone should see at least once!

Great installments! I love that bit about Alice and the sticker trading with Minnie, too cute. Thanks for sharing.

I love that moment too. :goodvibes Thanks for reading. Glad you're here! :)

A wonderful addition to your report. What a great picture of Snow White and little Snow White.

............. Glad you're feeling better.

Thanks Angela! :flower3:

The boys are such great sports to get their pictures taken too. It seems as kids get older they think everything is so uncool.

I know! They're good sports I've gotta say. :thumbsup2

Reading this made my heart literally ache! You have a way of expressing exactly what I feel about WDW (but doubt I could so eloquently voice!)

Aw thanks a million, I'm flattered. Disney World definitely draws us in emotionally like no other place.

Alice is so adorable, and such a personality!

She really is funny and cute. Last night she told me that there were monsters in the living room. I told her that her brothers were in there and that they'd look after her so she smiled at her teddy and whispered into his ear "it's ok, the boys will protect us". She's a little sweetheart.

I asked the boys if they wanted to go to the cafe for desserts, and they thought I was just the greatest mom ever, not knowing that I was really going to hurt someone if I didn't get chocolate.

:rotfl2: :lmao:

ope you now can find some time to just breeaaathe.....!:)

Yep!! My hols are coming up soon. Can't wait!! :woohoo:

so happy to see 2 updates today!

glad to hear you're feeling better, Deb!

the photo of alice and snow white is precious!

Thanks Erica. I'm happy you're sticking with me! :)

I think you are wearing yourself out! You really need some R&R!!!

I think you might be right. It's so hard to balance work and family but the next few weeks won't be so busy and we'll have our holiday so I'll get plenty of rest. Thanks for thinking of me. :flower3:

Epcot is still very fresh in my mind! I agree it is a very agreeable place. We didn't get to spend too much time exploring but I liked leaving stuff undone for our next trip

Absolutely! It's great to know you'll get back there to do all the new stuff some day!

Mostly though I really really love the picture of Alice and Snow White! Wow!!! I hope you framed it and put it in her room...what a great shot!!

I haven't done that but I think I will. I've been meaning to devote some time to photos for a long time now. I intend lining our hall with lots of pics including some great ones I have of my brothers and parents but I dunno where time goes. I think I'll make it my August project. :thumbsup2

I'm really excited about your new TR Cathy! Can't wait to hear the details of your trip. :woohoo:

Holy cow! I almost :faint: when I saw not 1, but 2 installments!!

Oh how I loved the photos of Alice with Snow White! Priceless, Deb! If they could just stay that little and so full of wonder! :cloud9:

I can't believe those people at Cirque actually pointed at poor sweet Alice! I would've pointed right back, and probably with another finger. :lmao: Just kidding. Well, sort of.:rolleyes1

I'm also guilty of putting the sweets infront of the kids. No one needs to know. :teeth:

Oh those pictures of Alice and Snow White are so precious!!!

I'm glad you're back, I have really missed reading your trip Report!

:cool1:

I was so happy to see the new installments! :cutie:

You know that those Snow White moments are memories of a lifetime, right? This is the thing I really love about a Disney vacation -- the stories, good bad and ugly, and the family adventures, and the laughs and good times.

Thanks so much for sharing them. See ya real soon, hopefully.

:goodvibes

WOO HOO:woohoo:

2 INSTALLMENTS!!!!!!! BONUS!!!!!!

I absolutely love those Snow White pics:love: There aren't words to describe them, what a treasure.

As for those rude people, I would have given the same finger DL Mama mentioned:rolleyes1

I have to say there just never seems enough time to fully experience WS, there is always something new to discover. That's why the Epcot resort area is my fav.

If you don't mind me asking... How did folks dress for Cirque? Nice pants and blouse, dresses? I think that is going to be Mom's Xmas present (I am taking her in early February and she doesn't like material gifts she rather something like this.). See the the OCD planning going on here.

Holy cow! I almost :faint: when I saw not 1, but 2 installments!!

Oh you know me! Efficient is my middle name. :rolleyes1

Oh how I loved the photos of Alice with Snow White! Priceless, Deb! If they could just stay that little and so full of wonder! :cloud9:

I know! My eldest son finished primary school yesterday. It was a great day but a sad one too. They had a lovely graduation ceremony and 'Wayne' played guitar for it!! Then they all sang a song about growing up and learning to go your own way. Oh my goodness, all the moms were sobbing  (and all the Dads were rolling their eyes! :lmao:). But where did my little boy go? :(

Yay! Thanks PM. I'm so far behind with your TR and now I have to read it cause you read mine.... *sigh*.......

I'M KIDDING, totally KIDDING. :rotfl2: :lmao:

Looking forward to catching up with your adventures! You know you have single-handedly made me want to go back to a Universal resort on our next trip. I forgot how nice it was there. I would so love to try Portofino Bay next time. We skipped Universal on this trip (now I'm giving future chapters away! lol) But I have a hankering to go back since I read about your trip! :cloud9: :thumbsup2

As for those rude people, I would have given the same finger DL Mama mentioned:rolleyes1

The best revenge is living well........................

Oh no! You're so right to plan it well. I think there'd be fewer things more miserable than an unplanned Disney trip. It would be like being so close and yet so far to the magic. :sad2: Nah, I couldn't take it. A trip to Cirque would be an amazing gift. You could even get a piece of merchandise from their site here to put in with the ticket if you wanted. They have some really great souvenirs. :woohoo: As for how people dressed, I would say not too dressy at all but not too casual either. I think I wore a skirt with a nice t-shirt and the boys wore nice shirts with nice shorts. But whatever you're comfortable in! :)

Great updates Deb!!! I absolutely love the pic with Alice and Snow White. It's one she'll look back on when she's older and cherish for sure.:) Sorry you had to encounter such rude immature people at Cirque. I'm sure they felt embarressed by their comments by the end of the night.:thumbsup2 Looking forward to reading your next installment.

(Oppss I deleted the end quote..sorry)
Awwwwww its like you want them to grow up but then at times you want them to stay little forever! But that's what Disney is for...it brings the kid out in all of us! So tell me about your holiday plans... :goodvibes
