I personally think the FoF is the best parade in 30 years of coming to WDW. Its a great combination of being edgy, while holding tradition. The costumes, the great casting and overall theming is a photographers delight.

Enjoy!

Thank you for the incredible pics! The dragon/Malificent is my fav. The parade has a real steampunk flair so celebrates Disney's traditional characters with a strong nod to contemporary trends. A beautiful blend.

ps think this is my 1000 post! While no big deal to the true vets on the Boards . . . its definitely a milestone for me. So hooray for #1000! pixiedust:

Wow. Beautiful shots. What lens/settings did you use for those? They are gorgeous.

Congrats ... Quite a milestone for sure ... I have been a member since 2008 and it will take me 5 lifetimes to ever reach 1000 posts!

Ok ... So I used a 400 telephoto Canon "L" lens with a 1.4 extender bringing me to a potential focal length of 560 MM. It's very difficult to get the crisp images I got hand held, however, I shot at a higher shutter speed at around 250 -500 of a second and then offset the lack of light going into my sensor by increasing my ISO setting to bring in more light to the sensor ... I also lost a full f-stop thanks to the extender ... So I had to over compensate by increasing the ISO with the aperture wide opened. All that coupled with a great image stabilization on the lens made for around a 95% success rate on that shoot and a lot of luck!! I have been taking photos for over 40 years now with over 20 years shooting film with a fully manual camera ... Manual focus and no f-stop or shutter speed preferred features and no preview capabilities ... The good old days!
At this stage in my photography I just focus on the artistic component of my photography and trying to make everyone look the best they can by getting good clarity, composition and contrast.
