First off; SPOILERS
I don't want to accidentally ruin this book for you. The Fault in Our Stars should be enjoyed, so accidentally finding out a part of the plot would stink.

I've never read any romance novels, cancer books, or anything like this before, so this plot line was new to me. Hazel and Augustus were awesome. Just awesome.
I have a few questions for you guys, and I wanted to have a thread so that we can talk about an awesome book without worrying about spoiling it for anyone.

1) Who was your favorite character?
2) What was your favorite part?
3) What was your least favorite part?
4) Did you figure out that Gus was much more ill then he let on before he told Hazel?
5) Did you enjoy this book?
6) Did you cry?
7) Will you see the movie?
8) Do you think Hazel lived to be an adult, or do you think she died after the end of this book?

Here are my answers;
1) Who was your favorite character?
Its a tie between Hazel and Gus, because they each have their own qualities that are kinda cute.
2) What was your favorite part?
I loved when they had dinner together in Amsterdam, and I also really liked when Hazel, Gus, and Isaac egged Monica's car :rotfl::rotfl2:
3) What was your least favorite part?
Augustus' funeral. No contest there. That also includes when Peter Van Hueten came to the funeral and Hazel was ticked off with him.
4) Did you figure out that Gus was much more ill then he let on before he told Hazel?
When Hazel and her mom went to pick up Gus at his house to bring him to the air port, and they heard crying and yelling, I started to figure it out. After that, when they went to Anne Frank's house I figured it out. I didn't think it was a serious as it was though >.<
5) Did you enjoy this book?
Oh my goodness yes. This was one of the most beautiful books I've ever read.
6) Did you cry?
A little. I finished the book yesterday, and once it really hits me, I will cry much more- just not yet.
7) Will you see the movie?
I want to go with my aunt this weekend, but I have no idea if it'll work out. It looks as good as the book.
8) Do you think Hazel lived to be an adult, or do you think she died after the end of this book?
As much as I hate to say it, she probably died soon after. That medicine wouldn't last forever, and she was in a pretty bad state during most of the book.

I hope you guys loved this book as much as I did!

1. Issac
2. egging the car
3. Gus dying
4. I did not.
5. Yes
6. Quite a bit. I can't seem to stop.
7. Tonight and tomorrow.
8. She definitely dies. She has cancer that is incurable.

1) Who was your favorite character?
Hazel, definitely. Or Isaac....
2) What was your favorite part?
The egging of Monica's car  I loved that so much.
3) What was your least favorite part?
When Peter turned out to be a little... crazy. It was upsetting.
4) Did you figure out that Gus was much more ill then he let on before he told Hazel?
I was getting suspicious, I think once he mentioned a small ache, but I didn't ever really think it would be so serious
5) Did you enjoy this book?
Um... eh.... it was an amazing book. Well-written. But too sad :D
6) Did you cry?
A little
7) Will you see the movie?
Probably
8) Do you think Hazel lived to be an adult, or do you think she died after the end of this book?
I'd like to think she lived, but after thinking it through, I feel like she may have died.

I liked Isaac, he was a close third, behind Hazel and Gus.

I thought that it was sad because Hazel died, but that would've been too obvious I guess.

Yeah, I went into the book expecting to lose Hazel.

Plot twists... I love them but I hate them.

1) Who was your favorite character?

Hazel or Gus

2) What was your favorite part?

Dinner in Amsterdam

3) What was your least favorite part?

Gus dying

4) Did you figure out that Gus was much more ill then he let on before he told Hazel?

I was suspicious, I wasn't sure. I wasn't surprised, in any case

5) Did you enjoy this book?

yes!

6) Did you cry?

no

7) Will you see the movie?

I don't know

8) Do you think Hazel lived to be an adult, or do you think she died after the end of this book?

Part of me wants to say yes because you want the hero/heroine to win and succeed and I think Hazel would have thought that Gus would have wanted her to live like he did, to the fullest. Part of me wants to think she grew up and married Issac and had children named Augustus and Anna.

But the other part, the more realistic part, makes me think she did die, and maybe she ended up in a Somewhere with Gus and maybe she faced oblivion, I don't know.

I kind of like that. Hazel and Isaac could have dated, once she got over Gus. And their children being named Anna and Augustus would be adorable- and possibly a Peter also:rotfl: probably not though

Oh no. No no no no. There will be no shipping between Issac and Hazel. She will be in somewhere with Gus.

I don't even know what shipping is.
Since its the most likely answer, yes, she's in Somewhere with Gus, talking about metaphors and not smoking. And Hazel isn't lugging around an oxygen tank anymore :)

Shipping is thinking two people should be in a relationship. She said that Gus could actually smoke the cigs now that he's dead. I'm so scared to see this movie

It looks like there'll be a lot of book quotes and stuff, at least in the trailers.
LOL I remember, I thought it was sweet that she tucked a pack in his coffin, but I don't think he'd want to. I feel bad for Isaac, especially if Hazel died later.

Shipping is when you think two characters should be a couple. For example, some people ship Harry and Hermione or Ron and Hermione, or Hawkeye with Black Widow or Percy and Annabeth, or some on the YA ship Jay and Hope, etc.

When a couple actually happens, they say "the ship has sailed". When it really really fails, they say "the ship has sunk".

Some ships are so special/popular/accepted that they get couple names, where they combine names, like for example(ones I've seen):

*Percabeth (Percy/Annabeth)
*Romione (Ron/Hermione)
*Clintasha/Blackhawk (Clint Barton "Hawkeye/Natasha Romanov "Black Widow")

When you looks at it that way, in AoS they are basically shipping Gemma Simmons and Leo Fitz the whole time because they call them "FitzSimmons"

Yeah, Issac's life basically sucks. His girlfriend dumps him, he goes blind, then his best friend dies.

Ooh, another part of the book I really liked is Gus' Pre-Funeral

that was pretty funny, but beautiful all at the same time. Which is basically the definition of this book XD
Isaac was hysterical, and Hazel was serious.

I love Fitz-Simmons LOL

1) Who was your favorite character?
Isaac I guess
2) What was your favorite part?
"Maybe okay will be our always"
3) What was your least favorite part?
Everything else
4) Did you figure out that Gus was much more ill then he let on before he told Hazel?
No
5) Did you enjoy this book?
I thought it was okay. Definitely overhyped. Partially because I don't like John Green, he's not a great author.
6) Did you cry?
No
7) Will you see the movie?
Maybe, idk
8) Do you think Hazel lived to be an adult, or do you think she died after the end of this book?
Idk, she survived for years on that made up medicine. If she lived in the real world she would've died a long time ago, so who knows?

You don't like John Green? I love him and his youtube videos! (Hashtag scoodlypooping)

Okay so I just watched the movie and I am warning you I am sobbing.

I figured. Was it a lot like the book?

It is so much like the book. They leave out Hazel's friend and Augustus's ex, and the part where he pees himself, and the last few words are different but other than that it's like it.
