The farther back you are on your dashboard, the lower your chances are?

I was wondering if maybe the farther back your progress is on your dashboard reduces your chances when pending?
Because, I've heard former rejected after pending, then accepted after trying again DCP members say that their recruiter explained to them that they got rejected because of bad timing. They applied to late and by the time Disney had filled all of their positions, there wasn't a slot left for them. :sad2: So it kind of makes me think, "While my progress is only on peg 1, other positions are being filled. What if they don't get a chance to finish reviewing my application before they fill in all of the slots!!! :scared1:" Idk, this is all just a product of my DCP obsessing lol but do you think there could be any truth to it??

No, not really. My friend applied last season the last week (Seriously, they told him he was one of the last interviews for the program) and got his first choice of roles.

The only time it comes into play is if you try for a very selective role. Then that might be an issue, but honestly the Dashboard is a very flakey indicator of your progress along the Recruitment process and nobody really knows how the process goes other than the Disney recruiters themselves.

It stays on that second spot 'In Progress' until after you've accepted or after they have told you 'no longer in consideration'. It never really hits on all those dots. Mine went from dot 2 and jumped to second from the end. I know everyone will know either way by this month so thats good!

I was refreshing my dashboard while I was waiting for my acceptance and it didn't change until days after I was accepted. Good thing I checked my email too!

Phew! that's relieving! Thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2

Ohhhh! Okay, I'm glad you told me that! I didn't know it worked that way! thanks

I got accepted in the first wave of acceptances after phone interviews started. I interviewed on Feb. 3rd and was accepted on Feb. 8th, so I didn't end up waiting long, but I applied early. I think the big advantage of applying earlier is that you hear back about your status earlier!!!

I interviewed on Jan 30th and received 2 pending emails (Feb 17th and Mar 15th) and my Dashboard is still "in progress". I have a couple PI positions that are in the "4th peg" because they are in "interview" stage. I would love to see those in "post interview" stage :)

Que_Sarah_Sarah: you def were lucky in receiving an acceptance so quickly! I'm worried that I missed an email somewhere because I started sorting my emails into folders (Disney, Family, Bills, etc) so now I'm going to spend the rest of this morning reading each email to make certain I didn't goof and miss one that actually has an acceptance! I wonder if they would email you again or call you if you didn't respond.....

Yes they will email you a few times. When I got my acceptance email on a Friday I didn't accept it for about 9 days. I got 2 reminder emails during that time. They are persistent!

Did you get accepted or pended? How long did the process take?

I can answer that for me I interviewed and I got my pending email 12 days later. 3 days later I got another pending email. 4 days later I got my congrats email. So I only was pending one week. I know that's short compared to some people and long compared to others. It seems that every ones story is different! The good news for you though is that you know you will know this month so that's a good feeling!! Good luck!
